I too purchased a cheap silicone hand. When I watched this video it inspired me to try. I applied the acrylic to the silicon hand and now it’s finger nails on there too. P.S. it’s my first time laying acrylic. Thank you 😘
Omg I've been so fustrated with tips not fitting my practice hand and came across this video would of never thought to lay an acrylic layer first Thanks so much !! Going to definitely try this
Can i just say that your own manicure on your fingers are the neatest, the cleanest and the prettiest I've ever seen on natural nails. Absolutely breathtaking.
yea i have tat hand and its awful to try and maneuver (tips and forms are almost impossible to get on)so like Amorica said if you can master this you'll be Great with real hands :)
I think i still have alot of questions you couldve answered like if the liquid gets on your skin, will it burn like acid til it drys?.. u did great im scared to try so been working on nail art and painting but after this video I maybe ready😇
I have a few other videos in the works on modifications to trainers plastic practice fingers and the plastic practice hands. So be sure to subscribe click on the Bell so you will get a notifications of when I post they're going to be extremely helpful.
Thanks. I'll get this from my local Sally's to use with my clear press on nails. I always paint them before applying. I will place sticky tack on the hand's nailbeds to hold the nails, gel polish them and slide the hand into my led lamp to cure the finish. 💅 7/1/19.
I know it's been two years, but this was a genius tip! I bought this practice hand so I could pre-paint some glue-on plastic nails for myself, and the nail beds are so much narrower than mine and they wouldn't stay! Sticky tack works like A CHARM
I could’t deal with the one from Sally’s so stiff it drove me nuts trying to hand file especially the cuticle area. lol I think on state board you have to hand file.
Do you know if this is how you're supposed to apply the regular look alike nails for practical exam? I just bought 1 I think is a little different on Ebay and wasn't sure if I was supposed to glue tips on or what lol I do have plenty of time since I won't be starting my apprenticeship till my kids go back to school. But want to practice as much as possible. I hope you see this. Thank you so much for making this video! Much love 💖
Please make a video on "how to clean your brushes" I can't seem to clean my brushes to the state that yours is in and that has costed me quite a lot as I have to get rid of them regularly
I actually use facial cotton wipes, I at times also add a good paper towel wrap to it. I at times will use special drops that help diminish the odor. The egg coddler dishes are fantastic at keeping the odor down. The screw shut stopping the smell immediately. It's best to also not put as much monomer in the dish...the dish is porcelain not ceramic because ceramic does leech over time. Hope this helped. Thanks for your questions.
Where did you purchase your hand from? Wondering because I just purchased a "diane practice hand" from Amazon to try and am curious how it's going to come.

Nice vid but no one uses this type of training hand anymore that doesn't move . Essential nails have a good one that has joints like a real hand or you could buy a realistic silicone hand from red iguana or glamerliz
Thank you for your input. I have numerous training hands and share them throughout my videos. I try and use everything available to me because I never know what others practice on. I am grateful for sharing your knowledge with me. 😁

If you give me a thumbs down let me know why. I take constructive criticism very well. I enjoy engaging others about this art form. Thanks!
Alot of small talk which caused me to skip through in which i may have skipped something important
I agree it was a little frustrating at the beginning 7 minutes with unneccasary smalltalk but I enjoyed it after.
@@kimscott9675 thank you Kim for sharing. I will do better to keep the small talk to a minimum. 😊

Thank you so much!
Thanks for your video because I just won a hand like this and I didnt know how to do the tips/make them stay
Thank you so much was looking for a video that shows this thanks!
You bet!😊👍
When I stick my tips on I use my hand file and made them rough as If I was taking the shine off the nail . if you haven't done that already.
Thank you for sharing helpful information.
Elle Irene how do you remove the nails? And is there a way to remove it and keep the nail in the same condition you designed it
@@tyeicha to start over i take the nail down to the acrylic layer I created to start from. Even in starting over I've got to master technique.
I’m going to do this with my practice hand because the hand I have is similar to this one and it’s hard for me to just apply the nails

If you do a design with acrylic can you just pop it off when your done or do it you have take it completely off with a file ect
Acrylic attaches itself to acrylic. You can use a drill to take it down to your starting point.

What kind of practice hand is the best for beginners
Please make a video on "how to clean your brushes" I can't seem to clean my brushes to the state that yours is in and that has costed me quite a lot as I have to get rid of them regularly
Ok will do later today.
Did you see the brush cleaning video?
How strong is the smell to your monomer?what kinda cloth do u use when cleaning your brush ?
S Ramirez monomer is super strong smell wise

How do you remove the acrylic off the practice hand?

Sally's Beauty Supplies
Thank you. I just watched the video again and noticed I missed where she said it.
Hello How would you remove the acrylic from the hand if i wanted to try to practice again ?
That is a tough one. I tried to drill with the efile and I bombed. Lol. Have not tried soaking them off yet will give it a go and share the results.
I have the same question....hmmm i guess that's why their so cheap.
In nail school they teach us to apply 5 coats of top coat on the plastic nail plate before creating the plate with acrylic. they come off that way.
@@acey.6301 great idea, thank you for sharing.
@Amy C was that gel or nail polish
Is it the same for a rubber hand?
It appears to be so. I have a few styles on here check them out.
Can you take off the nails that you’ve done? If so how?
If I buy this type of hand is it reusable
Yes
Can you link the porcelain container please

You have to file them down.

Efe's Corner I actually use a practice hand very similar lol
i use the same exact one
Not every one can afford those type of practice hands. This hand is cheaper and just as good.
I have just bought 1 of these hands so yes people do still use them 👍👍
If u need to practice again how do i remove nails
If you are great with an efile you can file them down. They do not pop off. They do not just come off easy. I do share more info in the video.
