That is a beautiful and very functional wall. Your tutorial was concise. Thank you for posting it. I bet some of the shelves were moved higher now that your baby is walking.
Haha, yep we moved them up once she started to walk. Thanks for the kind words.
Love the shirt!
Love it. Love the Wedding photo in the background. ;) We live in North Salt Lake 👍
Very useful info on the materials and spacing of holes, thanks! That end result looks amazing in that particular place--draws the eye upwards definitely while it used to be a more horizontal format. You really made that room look big.
Thanks!
Wall looks great. You did a great job.
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Awesome job! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks 👍
Awesome! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks 👍
This is amazing me and my wife are thinking of doing this now
Do it! It’s been a great addition to our home.
Thank you very much. It is going to help me very much in the pegboard I am making in India. Can you help with the measurements for the support you used to hang the pegboard on the wall? Thanks much.
Very nice and flexible!! One critique, 2 1/2” screws to mount plywood?
Ron Strode thanks! Are you saying that’s overkill or not enough?
if i drill in the support vertically, would that be ok? im new to diy projects
Yeah that would work, you just have to make sure the support is drilled into the stud.
Great video! Where in the panel did you put the finishing screws?
Really anywhere that will go into the support boards in the back. the Head of the screws are so small you wont really see them.
How thick is the plywood and can I use something a little thinner? I want to have one made that is 30 inches by 4 feet. to fit the space where it will go. Thanks for the video.
Yeah you could us thinner plywood like 1/2”. Be careful though be cause the thinner you the less support the pegs have to support shelves and heavier stuff. But 1/2” should be fine as long as you aren’t hanging anything to heavy. Thanks for watching!
hi there! love this project you made :) were your supports cut from plywood, or are they a piece of 1x4? (or 1x3, my math aint mathing)
he answered another commentor that the supports were also pieces of 3/4 plywood
oh sweet! ty for taking the time to comment!@@kazoosc
is there a reason why you didnt install a shelf across both boards
No reasons you could definitely do that.
What size boards did you use for support?
I believe they were just 2" wide pieces of 3/4" plywood. Screwed into the studs.
Mouse rat.... Did you meet Andy at the unity concert or the Lil' Sebastian memorial?
Man I’ve been a fan of them since they were “Everything Ryhmes With Orange” 😜
If I bump into them, wont those shelves just fall down?
Depends on how hard you bump into them! They aren’t meant to be bumped into. If you want to secure them more you can use a C style shelf hook to secure them to the dowels. The dowels stay in the holes very well and support a surprising amount of weight. ours aren’t touched once they are put up unless we want to change what’s on them.
lol it's nice but how can this be called a poor man's guide with all these expensive tools used.
Because all the tools used are what made me poor.
@@SaltCityWorkshop hahaha nice one. Well replied. :)
