- The sisters of O'G3NE gives everyone goosebumps. They were the first ever trio who auditioned in The Voice. In 2014, they won the fifth season of The Voice in Netherlands. In 2017, they competed in the Eurovision Song Contest. Check out all their performances in this new WINNER'S JOURNEY.

Harmonizing is so difficult. If just one person messes up, it can mess up everything. The fact that they are so clean and crystal clear is beautiful. Plus they each have amazing solo voices. If you’re going to be a group, you need to have amazing harmony plus the ability to all do a solo. To say they are at an advantage is ignorant. They have to work harder than any other performance.
And their timing had to be just right. Extremely difficult!
It helps when you are sisters. Having essentially the same genetics creates very smooth harmonies. Although there are many famous families in other genres of music , you haven't seen them much singing pop music. Perhaps this is because harmony isn't promoted as much in pop music as solo artists are. Harmony is left to the back up group and the musicians.

@@Victoria-rw1qx I don't know that there are any studies out on it. I don't know how there could be since "smooth harmonies" is a difficult thing to quantify. The judges on BGT seem to think so and I could name numerous groups...just not pop music groups. Bluegrass is absolutely chock full of sister bands. Here is only one example: ua-cam.com/video/spFPJ7wdPJg/v-deo.html
It was more a thing in mainstream radio music in the 40's and 50' so here is an example of that: ua-cam.com/video/YcyiC79l910/v-deo.html. Like I said, since then, pop music has pretty much gone solo and mostly left families behind.

I think it's super cool that they won! Normally, duets and groups never win on the Voice. Awesome and amazing voices.

To have 3 siblings that can sing & who do so absolutely beautifully is definitely rare, but a gift. I'm sure they've all been singing together since they could talk lol and that explains how great they sound together. Also they're related so more alike than ppl who are not lol.
you should also look for 4th Impact ...4 sisters from the Philippines who auditioned for X Factor UK 2015. Their audition video has in excess of 137 Million views and is the most watched X Factor UK video ever. They have recently released an amazing cover of John Lennon's IMAGINE>

They really are special. Each one has a good enough voice that she could be successful as a solo artist. They're good looking and confident. I hope they go very far.

WHAT A WONDERFUL GROUP - I wish we had them in the USA show. I'm jealous now... what a find. Best to them. Maybe we can see them here on one of their big tours.

Yes, as established pop artist groups - These three I've noticed in sharing their videos have been doing this a long time & they have some very fun music videos. We in the USA have not seen a trio like this on our VOICE show. I know we must have some like it but getting them to the show may not work out for them. I really wish these girls the best in getting great studio work and vids done.

the requirements on the U.S. show only allows solos and duos. that's why we haven't seen trios, quartets, or more-member groups on the U.S. show... you'd better see the Dutch or French version(s)...
Those girls are good, but the singer at 1:56 bottom left is even better

These women harmonize in a truly marvelous way.
So rarely do groups sound so crisp and clean together yet bounce of each other so fluidly.

I'm not saying singers don't deserve credit for their talent, but there are millions of people around the world who can sing and only a select few who can write songs that last a lifetime. People are still singing "How Deep Is Your Love" (1977) and "To Love Somebody" (1967) 50 years later.
They actually did a Bee Gees medley as a lockdown session!
They are perfect together. You can see they have beautiful voices and they work a lot to be in perfect harmony.
They look like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato no joke.
And the readhead girl (Amy) sounds so much like Ariana Grande. No joking too.

Everyone used to like Marco, until strong rumours about him came up: He is suspected of sexually transgressive behavior to children who competed in the Voice Kids.

I loved their Wilson-Phillips cover. Goosebumps from the very first note! The original was a fav of mine 30 years ago and I was immediately brought back to that moment, but their 3-part harmony improved on an already amazing song. Now I have to find out where they have gone in the last 6 years!

Those 3 girls voices are so smooth and full, it beggars belief what you are hearing. That 1st Bee Gees song had almost a subtle country delivery. Excellent singing.

To be that fine and polished at such a nice young age is very rare indeed. Music is in their blood, and they have a really close chemistry and friendship, to be able to pull that off - performance after performance. I love O'gene, they are so talented! I could play this vid over and over.

I have been listening to singers from all over the world in all sort of competitions for so many years, over 15 yrs I say. They, as a group, have the most memorable, unique voices. The harmony, well, what can I say. I later found out that they have been together since they were teenagers. That makes them even more unique. Well done girls. Well done and Bravo. Beautiful voices.
look for a group called 4th Impact from the Philippines . 4 Sisters with amazing harmonies.
At first I wasn't convinced but they did some incredible stuff later.

3 v 1 is fair in a singing contest. The coaches have to look for raw talent and diversity amoungst their group. The lady the 3 girls were competing against was amazing but the 3 sisters voices were so developed. You can tell they are always rehearsing.
And it's so hard to harmonize! 1 person doesn't have to work hard into the harmony to sound good by itself

I agree , but only because this contest is for previously unknown talent. Every entrant is still looking for a breakthrough. So at this level Pairs/groups need to be pitched against groups, singles against singles.
