Johan, thank you for coming back! Without you YT was incomplete. I am following your channel for 5 years, and I am glad to see you on Friday, because this is the sign of the beginning weekend! See you! Keep on! 😊 Sig.
You really got a great sense of aesthetics, Johan. The split screen footage in this video works perfectly, not too overly complicated. There's enough happening to make it interesting without losing focus on the gear you're demonstrating.
love the 5U4 sag, class-a harmonics, and all the character of the 15 speaker. i started an amp design; one i can't afford to build, and don't have the room for, but that's the dream to me.
Wow! Simple volume + tone controls and 2x6L6 tubes delivers pure tonal bliss. The natural reverb from the room mics sounds great. I think the stock eminence speakers in these are a bit harsh... replaced in my 1624t with a Weber alnico blue dog and it really improved/smoothed things out.
What a great video! Those old Valco circuits are great sounding, and the Tele in DADGAD sounds gorgeous. You’ve done a handful of Supro reissue vids, but I would love to see you do more vintage Valco demos, if you get a chance. Keep up the amazing work!
I have an early 60s Supro Newport 97, which is basically a thunderbolt with a tremolo channel. It goes with my ‘68 Tele like nothing else. Perfect amp. I also have an early 60s AC30, and have had a real pkexi etc…the Supro is the best. Just set it to 10, and control volume with the guitar. After that, all you really need is an old echoplex…beauty
Played my Thunderbolt reissue for several years as my main amp. Loved the tone and unique breakup, but got tired of running a separate reverb and eq through the fx loop. In a band setting, the low end of the amp competed too much with the bass guitar, and I had to use the eq pedal to cut some out. This thing is great with pedals and absolutely screams when turned up (and it'll rattle your windows). Wish they had made with stock verb and 3 way eq. Still, I love this amp and have even used it for recording a second bass signal on an album (which was its original intent when they released it decades ago).
Awesome riffing, sounds beautiful with the Supro and the Tele. Also the landscapes and the coastal images blend nicely with the ambience music you're playing. I guess it's somewhere in Sweden's coast ? Thank you, cheers!
Johan, you are a guitar scientist! I would like to ask: Would guitar sound good in 2x12 car cabinet loaded with car speakers? (JBL Selenium, for instance)
Hi Johan. Looks like you are bypassing the api pres. Curious as to why you chose that? Also, are using any digital modeling pres from the UAD collection?
What mic pair are you using for the room/close mics? And are you using them in omni, cardioid etc ? Thanks Johan! P.S. It would be great if you could do a video on how you recorded and mixed this. Yes I have watched all your other recording videos as well!
In the UK we call that way of laying bricks, ‘English Bond’…. A completely irrelevant point. The amp sounds fantastic, being very open and chiming with lots of bubbling overtones and undertones. Very 1960s sounding to me.

Thanks my friend! I really appreciate that. Cheers

Thanks man, really good to hear that!
Sounds great! You played some great riffs here. I bet it was LOUD! Loud clean tones can really be painful.
Fantastic sound. Nice to hear the edge of break up sound of different amps. Love to hear more of this one.
Thanks, glad you like it!
@@JohanSegebornI was hearing some '60s garage rock and '90s indie-rock tones there...vastly different from the usual marshall-y stuff
Sounds absolutely amazing totally blown away....will be on the lookout for one....great job Johan
Thanks, great to hear that!
Wow! That tone is absolutely intoxicating Johan. It would be interesting to hear your SG thru that Thunderbolt too. Greetings from Canada.
Thanks great to hear that! Cheers
I sold one of these a couple of months ago. It does have a sound all its own. Sounds great here.
Excellent demo!

Johan. Your first chord in DADGAD made my soul jump for joy. What a beautiful sound! Peace brother.
Glad to hear that brother!
DADGAD was an inspired choice for that Johan! Hints of early Led Zep.
Thanks Eddie! Yeah DADGAD is very much Houses of the holy to me. Have a great weekend!
Look up other UA-cam vids of this amp & you'll find one of a guy doing sound check playing Zep through it - that's what convinced me to buy one!
Sounds dreamy Johan! Just fantastic!
Glad to hear it! Thanks!
An inspired choice of DADGAD. Loved this video, thanks.

Wow! Great tone!!! Sounded amazing!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Nice work! Supro has a chime all its own, would love to see these riffs through the black magic varient. Thanks for great content.
Wow, that's such a cool riff there at 2:21 ! Well done:)
Thanks great to hear that!

Lovely sounds!
Thanks!
Incredibly deep darkness, yet chimey. Flashes of Zeppelin. Nice!
Thanks! Really good to hear that!

The king is at it again.great amp .thanks for sharing.🌹⚘👍👍🎸❤👍❤👍greeting from london.
Thanks from Gothenburg!
Nice ,almost a Soundgarden kinda vibe! Supro redemption by Johan!
Thanks Joe!
It'd be so much fun to play a show with that amp, a Tele and maybe just a Tone Bender and a Wah. It sounds just lovely.
Thanks! Glad you like it

Yeah it’s a very big sounding amp. It should be really cool for bass
You do EVERY piece of gear justice Joh! \m/
Thanks my friend! 😘🤘
@@JohanSegeborn Rock on!
Saw one in a pawn shop. No effects loop? No extension speaker jack?that sucks!

Thanks! Really good to hear that! Yeah it’s from the weather islands of Sweden! Cheers!
Man you put a lot of work into your videos. I imagine you have to travel quite some distance to get those natural scenic videos. Also, nice playing!
Thanks glad you like it! I live on the west coast of Sweden so many of these beautiful islands are nearby.
@@JohanSegeborn I live on the eastern countryside of Barbados. Not particularly scenic, unless you want to consider canefields as such. Haha!
Great sound!
Thanks!

Hi Johan. Looks like you are bypassing the api pres. Curious as to why you chose that? Also, are using any digital modeling pres from the UAD collection?
You should demo the Supro Black Magick Reverb!
I actually did that when it was released

Glad you watch the videos. Those are Peluso 2247LE set to Omni panned hard left and right. I blend in those with the RE10 and 548 close mics.
Page-ist sounds!👏👏👏👏
Aloha Johan! Mahalo Dude.
Aloha Victor!
Jimmy Page used a Supro combo and a tele on the early Led Zeppelin albums, so that's a great combination.
Yeah either that or a Vox + Rickenbacker cab
Do you have the serial number? My friends and I might have assembled this amp.
Hi! It’s 00511. You did a great job!
Page never used a Supro for any of the DADGAD stuff . Sounds good anyway though
Thanks Adam!

Hi! Interesting I live in an old factory mill converted to flats. Glad you like the tone!
