Good idea but just be careful the plastic is not touching the prongs of the plug, or wedged between the wall outlet and the plug, or it could be a fire hazard - or at least run a strip of electrical tape all around the inside of the cut 'plug hole' so that there's no fire hazard if the plastic does happen to touch the prongs. OR just make sure the plastic hangs over the TOP of the plug, not right up against the wall where it CAN slip down and touch the prongs.
Even skipping the painting part makes it a cool looking and practical holder .

How do you do it so the hot glue doesn't burn your fingers? Yes, I'm pretty new at hot gluing. :)
