This would be amazing, but the quality of footage for older builds likely won't be anywhere near as good as this. I would totally watch an hour long video where every minute is just engine sounds from a different project through the years
This is nothing special imo. So not everyone... Go listen to the plethera of videos on youtube of turbo ls, rb or 2j motors or even rotary and remember how average sounding this really is.
@@tyroniebalonie supergramps may sound average in comparison, but the mods are also quite tame in comparison to a built 1000hp 2jz or rb and the car is, imo, much more desirable than said cars simply for its usability in normal situations. More importantly it sounds quite epic to many of our ears because we`ve been following supergramps and it`s many evolutions over the years, and have a sort of emotional attachement to the car as a result, which I admit may influence our judgement, but doesn`t make our opinion of the car and it`s sound any less valid. Also, just because it doesn`t have the best sound in the world, doesn`t make it any less great.
@@tyroniebalonieIt's the car that makes it special, not the sound. The years watching the build. That's what I remember when I listen. Yeah, lots of other cars sound awesome. I didn't watch their builds. That's all. Thanks for taking time to share your view.
Rb's, 2jz and rotaries are the cringiest sounding engine's since everybody makes them. A flat-6 like this is awesome to listen to after the cliche filled straight-6 and wankel@@tyroniebalonie
Can't get enough of the "inside the engine bay with the hood closed" shot. 10/10 Also has Moog ever sampled some engine or turbo noise to use in a song before?
I feel like 911s are slightly more raspy. Or let me clarify: I typically think Subarus sound like lawnmowers and for how much I like Porsches, their sound isn't ideal, but this Subaru in particular sounds decent for a Subaru and less annoying than a 911.
Martin, I'd like to compliment you on the wheel choice for Supergramps. I can't think of a rim or colour combination that suits it better. Well done son!
@Max Power Considering the 911 has been around for 56 years, a 22 year old one is a 'new one'. The car still has more years air cooled than water cooled.
Must put a smile on your face every time your foot squeezes the loud pedal, Marty. I couldn't help thinking it sounded quite Porche-like. Must be the number of cylinders and their similar arrangement.
Sounds incredible! I've now got this as my ringtone. More of these vids for your other cars guys, especially within the engine bay. Congratulations on finishing Supergramps Marty. I'm buying a Legacy thanks to your build vids over the years ❤
Absolute beast, I'd love to have one. After your vids, looking at what my parents are driving, I told them to buy one of these, but probably with 2.0 rather than 3.0 because of fuel economy and simply price range.
Ya know, I don't think there is a single "car enthusiast" out there that wouldn't approve of supergramps. Well and truly a car that can be appreciated by everyone who has ever known about it!
I'm waiting on this video for years! please make one from the Double Unicorn a well. And maybe even better: Raw uncut footage of dyno tuning, especially mapping the mid to high sections for that nice on/off boost sounds as well as steady-rpm medium/high load pulls
Your passion for your cars is clearly audible in this video. Yes you do strecth the car here and there but this is far from a hot lap (and I'm not saying you were going for it in the video either). I can just imagine Supergramps in a real hot lap, going around the bends, heel & toe, reving above 4 grand all the way, that my friends, would be epic! And talking about heel & toe, look up "Senna NSX onboard" and watch the F1 legend taking the NSX around Suzuka while wearing white socks and mocacins! uhauahuah Classic! Cheers you 2!
This should be standard affair for * EVERY * MCM build. you could have a nice comparison library at some point. I noticed a few spots which would make good ring-tones, too!
PLEASE MAKE ONE OF THESE FOR AAALLLLLL THE CARS
Especially more under-bonnet sounds and cam, that footage was neato.
@@aserta neato burrito indeed. I'd love to see a vid for the 240z and the mira
@@X1Snowman I'd love to hear the VTEC scream of the Mini lol

Yeah, especially Yaris Hilton!
I have heard the lord speak to me, and he says “STUTUTUTU”
all praise be to lord Choo Choo
Now I want to hear the same video, but with Marty and Moog making all the noises.
That would be immensely funny
LOL I just posted the same thing
THIS
I'm waiting in the bank right now and just snickered out loud reading this. So yeah it would be funny. 😂
Yes please
So, when is this going up on iTunes to purchase?
All right. I’ll rewatch the entire gramps project from the beginning again😁
Josef Branczyk how good!
Josef Branczyk it’s tempting now 😂
Would be my fifth time...
Who wants Supergramps noises?
Everyone: Yesssssss!!!!

watch this blind folded and tell me this isn't a video of a widow-maker 911
Which 911 is it? I'm not too good when it comes to Porsches 😅
Turbo and Turbo S. Air-Cooled :) crazy cars

@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol yeah I mean a 911 has like 1ft of exhaust tubing to get a tone out of haha they sound pretty raw
10hr extended version pls

"pssssshhhhhhhhh suh too too too" 🤤
The sounds of our people.
That's the sound that makes all skids possible
GFB dose port plumbed back to atmosphere
TMM no its 100% Plumped to intake
This set a benchmark for capturing good sound quality...it transferred well over the Tube.
Sounds so much like my 911 (except for the turbo noises). Love it!
Grant Mikosz I was going to comment the exact same thing... does sound very good
Should sound similar, being they use a flat 6 of about the same displacement, and the new ones are even water cooled like the Subaru.
@Max Power Considering the 911 has been around for 56 years, a 22 year old one is a 'new one'. The car still has more years air cooled than water cooled.
@@sireuchredifferent firing order and much longer exhaust on the Subaru makes a big difference
That is straight car porn, hand me a tissue.
Sounds so soooooo good, I’m in love

I couldn't help thinking it sounded quite Porche-like. Must be the number of cylinders and their similar arrangement.
Only a couple of audio nuts could do this so well 😍
I am an audiophile(yes, with tubes and stuff) and a petrolhead. I could use a tissue or two...
I expected thete to be a "get off my lawn"in there as well 🤣
Maybe the best music you two have made.
It's def in the top 10%
This is officially my text message notification... thank you. Finally fpund something to replace the coin noise from mario i had beforr
Supergramps sounds amazing. It's proper comes on strong up the top end like. Absolute ripper.
Please make a 10 hour loop of this so i can listen to this while sleeping
This is awesome. Maybe this could be a new thing you do on all builds ?
Well done Marty(and Moog, Al, Benny and anyone else who helped make this amazing machine.) Sounds beautiful.
With the exception of the Turbo Noises it sounds like an old school Porsche 911. Love it!
I’m here again in 2022 please do a MCM compilation of all your best car sounds with both the exhaust and under bonnet cam….PLEASE 🙏
Sounds great! could perhaps use some heel+toe action to make it better.
One of your best videos in years.
Man that is the best car sound vid! You guys sure know what you're doing!
I might like flat 6's a little more now, it sounds bloody brilliant
Supergramps sounds bloody fantastic, lovin the underbonet footage and sound, great work Marty and Moog and tuning fork👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘
"my heart became filled with warmth pride and childlike joy"
This is beautiful. I'm tearing up.
the under the hood shots are glorious

Truly a unique sound... hats off marty, such a prestigious build
That may be my favorite sounding engine now

Loving the engine bay cam shot.
Supergramps sounds perfect, absolutely awesome if you ask me.
The sound reminds me a lot of the Ruf Yellowbird, it's so raw and raspy and awesome!
Sounds great it would help you if you rev match on the down shift into the corners.
Lol I've been wanting a video like this since the original gramps series. Such a good sounding ride. Got me droolin
if there was only one soundtrack for eargasms in the world this would be up there in the top 3
That sounds better than most Porsches do!
This is a new level of the ASMR
I could listen to this all day! i want a video like this on all of their major builds now!!!
Ya know, I don't think there is a single "car enthusiast" out there that wouldn't approve of supergramps. Well and truly a car that can be appreciated by everyone who has ever known about it!
The most satisfying sound ever!
The exhaust note really reminds me of an old inline 6 sports car, with some added turbo noise.... perfect
Dang! That sounds gorgeous!
Liberty wagon!! The gift that keeps giving!! Thanks
To start with; a little disappointed, no choo choo... 55 seconds in, I'm a happy camper.
This is exactly what i was hoping to get more of after watching your last video !
Probably my favorite ASMR video to date

That turbo flutter is amazing!

That waste gate noise needs to be made into a ringtone ...
Loving the compressor stall. Sounds like my Sierra RS500 :) Great effort...!
Oooosh that makes me moister than an oyster. Actual chills down my spine hearing that turbo spool and flutter. Mmmmmmm
That GFB dose port tho 👌
