Thank you Tony for sharing these views. I had worked at FOAL Farm, animal Rescue centre, for 11 months between 1979/80 . During my time there I got to enjoy the beautiful country around that area. memorable days working under the management of John and Jo Hicks, who later came to found International Animal Rescue. Sadly, John Died in an India hospital due to serious medical negligence on 27th Feb.2015. He was the man who gave me the opportunity to explore Kent, and taste many of the apple from its orchards, which were then fast being grubbed up due to EU /UK trade agreement. I had no idea how many different varieties of apples there were until I found myselve living in Kent. So sad that many of them have now been lost as a consequence of that Trade agreement. I now live on Exmoor in Devon, but have held a fondness for your part of the country ever since my stay there. Lasly, just to say, that I found the music perfect for the slide show. Thank you again for sharing the many wonderful views of Biggin Hill Then and Now !
Why are all the cars on the wrong side of the road! LOL I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath back in the mid 70's. Would love to go back for a visit. But, my heart is broken. Went on Google Earth, down to the street view, to see if the little pub I liked going to was still there, but now, it's just an empty lot. Made a lot of friends there.
wow sadly i cant rember any of the things but talking about the blue and yellow busses i always got a thrill going on a bus up to london rideing a red bus was everything
REALLY GREAT TO SEE THAT THE AREA OF BIGGIN HILL HAS NOT CHANGED , I PRAY THAT IT STAYS THAT WAY FOREVER , IT IS HISTORY . ROB.
Thank you.
Indeed. The place changes so quickly that even the 'Now' photos could be classed as 'Then' photos. Thanks for the post.

Thank you. Unlike Americans, when the Brits build something, it stands the test of time.
