As weird as I sound, I am addicted to getting my beard lined up lol
It's almost scary how similar your experience is with mine. I keep track of my beard by taking two pictures every 1 month and sometimes just 15 days based on if it looks more. The only real difference is that I try to keep my facial hair a bit longer after I started getting more cheek hair, so that I can brush it.
Awesome! 😁 Glad we have such similar situations my friend, i hope you have more and more gains!
I use minoxidil once a day, since starting my journey. I have seen noticeable results, and have recently trimmed by entire beard. Now I’m able to use the minoxidil more comfortably as the long strands of beard hair is not in the way of when I’m applying.
My barber shaved my growing vellus hair beard I was so pissed cause I was on 3 months minoxidil and it all went to waste 😭
Absolutely! For me personally I've been using minoxidil for about a month now.I I haven't shaved but due to the patchy areas I'm able to apply the foam just fine without issues and I've been growing the length for a little over 4 months. I will trim once the patchy areas get filled in and my beard can finally connect a bit more. 🤣😂😭
I'm waiting for that too 😂😭 Keep it up friend! 👍🏻
I shave once a week and each time it grows back I can usually see a difference
do u use minox?
@@signordon1987 i assume that’s why he’s in this comment section 😁
I'm on the fence about shaving or trimming. I grew my beard out for 2 and a half months and it's not bad. My cheeks are weak and my side burns are weak at the top area. So I started minoxidil. I'm seeing gains on my cheeks. I use liquid minoxidil in the thick parts of my beard because there are areas I would like to thicken up. But I have to use more than normal. I stick the liquid dropper through my beard to the skin then massage it in. It works but still I wonder if its better to trim or shave for better applications. 🤔🤷♂️
I'm about 5 monts in with minoxidil. I let my beard grow for about 2,2,5 months and i saw that after shaving some (alot actually) vellus hair became terminal. They are alot darker and thicker now whoch makes my beard look alot better,
That's exciting! ☺️
David Siebielec mys does the same thing my friend. If I grow mys out past two months it hit a standstill phase but if I shave 🪒 I’ll see more gains/thicker beard frfr!👌
@@holdoutside6020 Something that helped me by ALOT is taking biotin and Mucuna Pruriens (for Me best one is from a brand called now) and applying Castor Oil (doesn't really have to be Jamaican black castor oil) after I derma roll (0,5mm roller). Also supplementing with Zinc, magnesium,omega3 oils and D3 Vitamin (if You are not getting enough sun) might increase your gains!
P.s I also tried Collagen for a month but it had 0 results on my beard so I stopped using it.
Im 21 i started my minoxidil beard journey...im kinda like u have 0 facial hair😂...i have completed my 1st week today...seeing your results is really inspiring...pls dont shave..trim it so that we can see the results clearly..and thankyou for the weekly updates...👍
I'm glad it's been inspiring to you! 😁 keep it up my friend!
@@ToBeardAndBeyond thanks bro👌👍..
How are your 3 month results?
@@malfurionstormrage6782 i have a beard now..but not yet terminal....but compared to when i started ,its a significant gain...before i didnt have a single hair on my face..now atleast its covered with vellus hair...hope soon itll get terminal around in few months..its a long journey...
Shashank Jingade congratulations dude! I’m hitting 5 months, and I’m very happy with where I’m at.
so trimming won't damage the new hairs? I got really paranoid after trimming lmao
is it damaging?
How do you trim your facial hair? Do you have to buy a trimmer per se or can you use scissors?
This cult is amazing!!
Thanks 😂😂
I also got tons of white vellus hair my friend told me to shave it so it will grow darker and i shaved it today . Did I make a mistake
Any update sir?
While shaving we get small cuts sometimes (always when you have too much pimples). Should we apply minoxidil on those cuts?
Best decision I ever made was growing out my mustache. 10/10 best decision waiting for cheeks hairs to come in on minox journey. You can grow a nice mustache I bet.
Definitely helped me too 😭 Thank you for the encouragement man!
hello bro . This is my fifth week and my eyebrows hair exploded i see new vellus hairs everywhere i trimmed it but i'm afraid it keeps growing and growing ! ?
Just keep shaving it off is my recommendation! It should stop growing when you stop minoxidil.
What is your opinion on taking biotin and collagen supplements while on minoxidil?
I made a whole video about that topic, give it a look 😁
I take alpha beard multivitamins. It has 10,000 mcg of bioten. And I take collagen as well.
Should i still have to apply even after I've grown a beard?
Im 21 and I'm using minoxidil since February and Im seeing results. I'm thinking of shaving once a week
Are you using a derma roller or just minoxidil?? I want to know if I can shave everyday while using the derma roller and minoxidil. Thanks!
Using both these days! You CAAAAN shave, but it's not recommended. You might slow the growth of the vellus hairs. You can definitely trim your beard, however!
@@ToBeardAndBeyond Preciate that. I just ask bc I'm in the military and would like to have that beard for leave periods
@@armandochung9686 man lmk cause im in the military as well and im trynna get that profile lol
I used minoxidil for 4 months and i grew aloooot of beard
I trimmed it few times and it grew back fine but i shaved once almost 2 months ago and it took more than a month to grow and even after that it was really small and thin
I have no idea what happened and how to fix it
I trimmed it again and i started using minoxidil again and hoping for the best
If anyone has an answer please let me know
This is 3 months old so I’m sure you already know but you clearly just didn’t use it long enough bro. Unfortunately it takes a long time.
Bro did u use any shaving cream and did u move the razer in medium force because if u don't apply shaving cream while shaving and use full force and apply pressure on skin it can take out the root of ur beard which will cause it to start from vellus phase again
Shedding
THANKS
Is it okay if i use minox at 16 ?
No, you still have plenty of time to get a beard naturally..
Probably not. I would wait
Yeah, you shouldn’t start yet. My advice would be when you are at least 18
Ask your dr
I have a video talking about that question! I posted it about a week ago.
So cute !!
You don t seem an example
You have no beard, not even now.

Me: son of b*tch am in
I started by cleaning to see what time it would take for me to gain back what I had and I think I THINK, it took me 3 weeks with minoxidil to grow what usually was a 2-3 month growth 😂 so I started naked baby to see the growth, so far I m still waiting for the results and keep One thing in mind! It’s a journey and not a Spontaneous results. Also I apply 1 a day, cause I know I can’t keep up the schedule Therefore Takes even more time! So like you said once... or maybe someone else, It takes time and patience 👍
It does! Patience is most important. It's not a magic potion, but it does work over LONG periods of time. Keep it up man 😁👍🏻
if you use minioxidil and then stop will ur bears continue to grow ?
If u don't shave the vellus or the transitional beard how will it turn terminal by magic?
Just trim.. don't shave it guys
Got a question bro, can you use any acne scrub while your using minoxidil. Will it help it slow the process down?
I can't say from experience, but I wash my face in the mornings before I apply minoxidil and my acne hadn't been too bad!
🔥🔥🔥
Well I just turned 19, and personally for me I'm clean shaven 90 percent of the time. Before I did use Minoxidil I did have a decent amount of facial hair to begin with. Now I've never grown out my facial hair before ever, so I can only judge from a stubble point of view but pretty much everything that was on the left side of my face was decently full, besides a super small patch. And on the right side of my face the cheeks were more patchy and sparse. Same thing with the middle of my chin.
But since using minoxidil I see insane results in the last 12 weeks, as I said from a stubble point of view it seems rather full and not anywhere near as patchy, my goatee is actually looking like a defined goatee and not just a little stubble of chin hair. My mustache hairs are starting to connect with my chin which is something that's NEVER happened before. I do not derma roll either, and I apply foam minoxidil 2 times a day. There was a few weeks where I only applied it once a day because I didn't have time to run to the store and I was running out of my can of minoxidil so I'm sure I could've gotten more results but oh well.
But the only downside I hate when applying minoxidil after shaving is that it stings like a bitch. Like as soon as you apply it all I feel is a painful burning sensation. But once I wait a day and have a more "sandpaper" stubble on my entire face it doesn't hurt or sting at all.
After 19 years of being clean shaven I'm going to make an attempt at growing a beard for the first time ever in November. I'm sure all the patches will be filled in by then and I'm going to not shave for an entire month. Even though I don't really want a thick beard I'd still like the availability to grow a beard if I want to. Not because I can't.
The only side effects that I've had are:
- Hair shedding. (didn't really get large clumps but when I ran my fingers through my hair I had a couple hairs in my hand.
- Higher heartbeat (sometimes I had times where like a vein or artery in my neck was actually noticeably pulsating and I can feel it, I almost quit because of that but it stopped doing that so I'm good)
Those are the only side effects that I've had, never really felt fatigue or anything but then again I drink at least an energy drink a day while I'm at work so I didn't feel tired really at all.
@James Moriarty usually twice a day, recently I've been just doing it once a day because I've been busy.
I shave because I know that minoxidil is helping me.
Hey best friend
I prefer trimming

What a cringy attitude
Question brothers: I'm becoming paranoid, I'm on week 8 and I've begun to notice that some nights I shed hair from my head, maybe (+20). Anyone else going through something similar?
I'm using the Kirkland Minoxidil for over 2 years now and during this time I lost like half of my hair. Not sure if minox is the reason but it's really weird because there's no one in my family who have to deal with hairloss and my hair really thick before
@@ozzymer But did it come back? Its prob. just the shedding
@@ozzymer I'm also using the Kirkland brand... And I too have thick hair with no history of balding in the family. Might reduce to half a ML every other day or just pause completely and see if it stops falling.
You guys should check what DHT is. The more You have the easier You grow facial hair BUT You lose your hair from the scalp.
I shed hair a lot since using it but it will come back
No shaving
I'm on the fence about shaving or trimming. I grew my beard out for 2 and 1/2 months and its not to bad. My cheeks and upper side burns were weak. So I started using minoxidil with success. I'm seeing gains on my cheeks. But there are areas in my beard that I want to be thicker and I'm not sure if i should shave or trim for best results. I'm getting it on the skin with liquid minoxidil but it takes longer and more minoxidil than usual.
