+dumbforester +bluebear610 I agree. I see a movie about real diversity. These guys are living in a totally different world than we are, but they have a common humanity. We can totally understand their motivations and we are inspired by their examples. The son follows his father's advice, he has no fear. He looks at his enemy without fear and throughout the story, he is acting without fear.
the look in Morris Birdyellowhead's eyes, his facial expression and whole demeanor carry a complete lack of fear. embodying the importance of what he told his son before, "that fear will infect the soul of anyone who engages it". an important overarching theme of the film, here, in the most honorable way, he leaves his son with a true lesson, and shows he is someone at a heightened level of perceiving reality, something his son can actively work towards reaching.

One of the most original films I've ever seen showing native people both in negative and more importantly (not ever shown before) in a very positive light.
What? Apache follows a native protagonist and that came out in the 50s, Kings of the Sun came out in 1963 featuring indigenous people as the protagonists, Dances with Wolves was about 30 years before this, so yes this movie does have positive portrayal of indigenous folks buts it’s been done plenty not “never shown before”

(Directed by Robert B. Weide)
This shows both sides of men perfectly
I remember this movie being very good---and unique. I also remember the last few minutes of it too.
The Best film i have seen in my life with untertitle.....👍
You almost don’t need the subtitles, it’s a powerful film.
agreed ive watched it without and its a lovely experience
Always brings tears to my eyes this scene.
An extremely emotional and disturbing scene to watch. Pure barbarity being displayed right before your eyes...
+bobboblaw123 The way all different races of humans have treated each other for all time

Don't try to rationalize with people like him. Bring up any barbarity that other races have done throughout history, and they'll always resort to "BUT MUH WHITE COLONIZERS". Gee, it's almost as if we're all part of the same species! They'll never bring up the fact that Africans are STILL enslaving each other to this very day.
Gangsta Licious What goes into a man isn't as important as what comes out, i.e., just because someone eats pork, doesn't make them unclean compared to the one who doesn't eat pork, and who isn't a righteous person...
Gangsta Licious You can have a totally clean diet sans consuming pork, i.e., observing religious dietary rituals, but if what comes out of your heart and mouth are just as haram as consuming pork meat, then that makes you unclean and a hypocrite...
Gangsta Licious You focus on legalism, i.e., pork meat as being the utmost importance in lieu of the person's heart, behavior and the way they treat others...
One of the best movies ever
