In this vlog we reach the start / end of the Romantic Road in Germany. The fairytale castle at Neuschwanstein is world famous and has been an inspiration to many. But was it everything we expected?
Riki had high hopes - literally - of the famous suspension bridge which boasts the best views of the castle and valley below.
We also found another tourist hot spot just a couple of kilometres away that took us to new heights as a couple!
Filmed in April, we had the best of both worlds weather wise. The sunshine showed off the blues and aquas of the reservoirs and rivers and the snow capped mountains created a proper fairytail feel as a back drop to the castle.

We love it there. Both castles to be honest. It’s a shame the bridge was closed as that view is amazing. Oo we’ve never done the cable car, that looks stunning. Views are amazing! Snow at the top too! We loved this! Off to check out your fussen video now as we love it there too! Cheers 🍻
Thank you for your comment. Yes we were gutted to miss the bridge view but the cable car gave us some other spectacular views as compensation 😄
Wow what a gorgeous place 😍, must put this on our list of places to go, the landscape, weather and cable car reminded us of our visit to Canada in Feb. That traversing down the mountain path 😂 I’d probably do the same to be fair, going downhill does take it out of your knees! xx

We missed the last cable car and had to track……. Boy oh boy! What a long way down and took a good few hours.
No way!!! I bet that was a moment of sheer panic when you realised!!

We didn’t. We are always on a tight timeline and opted to use the rest of the afternoon to take the cable car up the mountain instead! Darn annual leave just isn’t enough for all the adventures we’d like to have
So you didn’t do the zugspitze if your in Lindau next
I had to research Zugspitze! No we didn’t make it there. We will have to put on the list for another tome as it looks stunning
