Thanks for this great instructional. 🙂👍 I'm converting my Proace at the moment and I am looking to also fit a swivel seat. Can I ask why that particular replacement. Is it the only model with similar electrical connectors? I have just bought a R&R bed and was looking to fit seats that have a similar style. Thanks.😊
Thanks, I liked the look of these seats the best. You need to try and find seats that have flat rails as some of them are staggered and not easy to fit. Also you want the seat belts to lock in and some brands use different buckles so make sure they are the same (although you can swap them but easy if you don’t). Hope this helps.
Seating position is the same if not a bit better than before as the Peugeot GT seat adjustment is a bit more refined. The GT seats in general are sportier, better for your posture and hug you round corners but are probably slightly harder comfort wise. Overall these seat are a great upgrade and a good fit for the van.
Hi. Great video/ just started trying to find a single seat to swap out my double passenger for ( ‘19 plate dispatch) so this has been helpful - can I ask if they’re any reasons I couldn’t put another dispatch drivers front seat as a passenger ? Apart from moving buckle etc ( also want it as a swivel!) thanks for any tips/ advice 🤞😊
You would need to check if it has a seatbelt anchor on the other side. The arm rest would be on the other side too. Could work though and it’s a lot cheaper to buy the drivers seat so hope it works.
@@l.a.hunterthanks! I’ve bought one for £150 with post so 🤞😆. Will have to move the tensioner across and maybe grind off the arm and handbrake. Wish me luck 🍀 😊
@@pippawatson2274 Just wondering if your plan worked putting spare drivers seat into passenger side and modifying seat belt tensioner etc? I would like to do same with my proace van
@@cumbrianhomesteadHi, unfortunately my timing belt snapped resulting in full engine rebuild etc which has set back van conversion for a few months ,,, but hoping to get it done by summer 🤞, ask again in August 😆
@@pippawatson2274 Oh no! Sorry to hear that 😕 I'm hoping to get something sorted asap so need to do a bit more research, but it sounds like a great plan and exactly what I'd been thinking about myself. Best of luck with your conversion 👍
Hi, the original seats didn’t have airbags so didn’t have this issue. But you can get a resistor to put in the connector if you want to delete your seat airbags, this tricks the circuit to think you still have an airbag.
I'm loving your channel, Louis. I just binged on all the new Proace videos as I'm looking to buy a Vivaro / Dispatch / Proace / Expert as a replacement for a T5 that I've had for 16 years! This video I was particularly interested in. Have you considered making your CAD drawing available (for a fee perhaps)? Also, having lived with the new seats for 8+ months, how are they holding up? Keep up the great work on the channel - you've got a new subscriber. 🤙
Thanks for your comment. The new seats are really comfortable and supportive, the only thing that might be an issue is the angle on the back support for building a galley unit behind it. Once the weather gets better I will get on with the furniture and see. In regard to the brackets you can make your own out of 2 L section steels bolted together to make a Z section, my CAD is not available I’m afraid as not certified for sale.
@@l.a.hunter I see what you mean. I assume the van's original seats are designed with more of a vertical back? I wonder iof there are any seats that would bolt straight on, as is the cfase with othger vans? For example, certain BMW seats bolt directly to Ducato/Boxer/Relay subframes I believe.
Real quality workmanship. Well done.

These look great! How did you find the seating position once installed?
