I’d you have POR15 in the UK treat all that rust with it. Wonderful stuff. I’m in the process of doing my own G35 over the winter. Wish I could get the trans Jack in the US 😢
Big project. Glad that you plan on replacing the bushings. Makes the handling much sharper. Save up for high flow cats. Hope you can find some second hand ones.

Great to see you working on the 350z again. I’ve got the same year and colour and the underside was in a very similar state before I treated it all with the Bilt Hamber products although I had to do it on the drive which meant it was a lot harder and took even longer :-) My rear wheel arches weren’t as bad though!
Absolutely love this channel 👌👌. Just about to treat the underside of my 350z and this information is so helpful. Thank you for the time and effort you’ve put in to these programs. Very much appreciated 👍👍
Great video Neil, loved the mirror floor placement , glad you can remember where it all went. The 350 will always be an amazing car, and now we get to see more of what makes it so - thanks, all the best with the resto work.
Hey I just spent the evening going through your 350z project. Looking the get a sunset orange one too at some point, so this is great content that I'll deffo go back to. So thank you and keep it up, they're really well made and easy to watch!
That garage looks like an operating room to me 👍 15:00 just get one of those engine carriers on top of the struts, the engine will not go anywhere and you can fix the rusty subframe.
Fantastic vid... glad you're doing the kinds of things I was suggesting a while back. This is an absolutely brilliant insight into how to do this as a DIYer... and so glad you were frank about how long it took too. Really excellent Neil.

If you need the full service manual for this car I work at a Nissan Dealer here in Canada and I can send you the PDF file
Neil, all of a sudden I dont feel so bad for having to replace my CD001 transmission and valve cover/gaskets. California cars usually dont have rust problems and are well preserved, worst case is previous owner neglecting maintenance. I have 2003 Z33 in Lemans Sunset so I'm rooting for you!
Hi! When next movie? And could you show little bit more about how you doing things get into some more details cause as a beginner every single info is gold value and you are the only one doing it on YT!! so I and probably many more people would appreciate it even more than now! :D Thanks
Awesome video m8, I would love to do the same to my 350 to the extend you're doing it. I've been doing some work on my rear wheel arches, they were rusted pretty bad. My advice is check de arches very well because the undercoating can easily fool you, especially where the plastic piece sits (4:52) and it collects lots of dirt at the bottom. I am using caprotech rx5,rx7 and rx10 to treat the rust. Keep it up👍
Damn that is a big job, good effort man. That is a lot of rust, and I thought my Mercedes was rusty. Our cars don't get that bad in New Zealand for some reason, I'm guessing they salt the roads over there?
I love working on the Zeds. My 350 was a pleasure and a clutch change in my 370 was the easiest car I've ever worked on. I'm astonished to see how much corrosion is on your car. Had it been stored on grass or a wet floor for a long time ? The oxidization of the aluminium components seem to indicate long exposure to moisture too.
Have a 2004 with very similar issues, that is definitely in the design. The rear wheel arch plastic parts just don't cover enough. For the shield at the rear right (emissions shield 75520U) had to go to Nissan, £80, but mine was worse. Haven't dropped my rear subframe yet to do in front so great to know what to expect.
I wonder how much something like this would cost im stuck between do i buy another g37 or do I try to save the one I have now by doing this (I'm very attached to it)

You must be really good with jigsaw puzzles 😂 recently purchased a 04 orange 350z in very good condition thanks to the previous owner so I’m a new subscriber to your channel and really enjoying the info coming through on this car 👍
Looks pretty solid mostly but that is a fair bit of surface rust for the age of the car, more than my 80's Volvos. Reminds me of my old MX5's, must be something in that Japanese metal! I think you've caught it in good time, worth filling them sills with cavity wax also once any repairs are done.
im glad mine doesn't look half as bad as yours does. no body rust. mild underside rust. i rolled the fenders so ill need to adress that soon. the only cosmetic issue is the paint is peeling on the roof & scratches everywhere.

The level of value a DIY'er receives doing this, at this level is invaluable. well done.
