Same here. This video just helped me. I went round and round my phone and couldn't find how to change the notification sound for Facebook. The default notification sound that comes with Samsung phones for Facebook really annoys me. This video was helpful. Thank you.

do you know if they moved this yet again because for the past few days my notification sound was broken- not working at all or had just the same default one. i checked and the option for sound on individual apps is totally gone. not under Apps, not under Sounds (checked pulling each app up) I mean no where. i'm stumped. on my phone when i look at that screen (1:12 in your video) I see the same options EXCEPT sound is not listed.

THANK YOU! I'm so amazed that a switch, which is normally press on and off, would actually open another menue. There should really be some sort of separation between the switch and the menue. Like a simple like to let the user know that if you press this side, you'll get a menue and if you press this switch, you'll togle it on and off

Thank you! All my notifications had the same sound. I got to the point where I was ignoring them most of the time cuz they were usually unimportant. Now I can give the ones I need to look at a different sound.

I have the opposite problem. I just want everything to be the same sound, but of course snap, discord, and xbox social want to be special and have their own sounds.

I have been trying to do this for my text messages and my emails. . I called ATT about this a few times and they never had me try this so kudos to you for even sharing this with us! I’m getting so frustrated with my Z fold 4. All of my notification alerts appear in such ridiculous order. When I get a notification I have to pull down my notifications at try to search n see what the new alert was for. That’s why I was hoping to at least make a custom sound for text and emails so that way I at least know where the alert is coming from by sound. Thank you su much for this!!

Hey Greggles, you did a great job on getting straight to the point and you speak Clearly but I just wanted to find out how to just change the default tone in the Galaxy Store app! It list all those options basically like when you opened up ebay and it had all those different notifications that you could pick from. When I open up the Galaxy Store it shows all the different notifications that you can either put it on silent or choose your alert notification. I was just wanting to just set all of them on default to a mellow sound.

This could have literally saved my life. I'm a T2 diabetic who needs insulin. I have an app and sensor to make sure my blood sugar doesn't nose dive in the night. I luckily woke up when my S22 Ultra didn't let the app chime loudly like it should have. You showed me how to find the setting I needed (somewhat inadvertently) to make sure it rings!
