Very informative video! Appreciate the strategy. I do the same thing with oysters. Make a pile first. I've dug ducks at North Beach before. At a -3 it's quite a sight how all (wel most) of the water exits.
Thank you Blake. I bet a huge amount of the beach is exposed at a -3. I imagine there is just a tiny bit of water left in the middle. Definitely going to try to make it out when that happens. Thank you again.
I've clammed at a lot of beaches, but not this one! Thanks for sharing the clam adventure! Do you find many native littlenecks here as well or is it mostly manilas?
I bought it at Walmart years ago but it was plastic and broke. Now, I use an aluminum crab/shellfish gauge. I put an Amazon link in the description. I highly recommend you go with the aluminum. A few dollars more and it will last a lifetime.
They keep that closed most of the time because most of us are tired of our houses getting broken into by the tweakers that wander the beach looking for things to steal.
Very nice!Yes.plenty of clams everywhere.
It's one of my favorite beaches. Easy to limit and great to take beginners and kids to.

@@SoundFishing2020 yes sir! Just a teeny stream in the middle. It is very sticky mud though. Just a heads up that it'll claim boots!
Lol... I've got a shoe I wasn't able to recover at Tolmie State Park. The mud is no joke!

Mostly Manila but there are some native littlenecks for sure. It's also a good place to find oysters.
@@SoundFishing2020 Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for making this video. Where did you pick up the clam measurement gauge for Western, WA?

@TreverSantora absolutely! Best of luck out there.

That's really unfortunate. It's amazing how so few can ruin so much for so many. It is a great beach for clams when it is open.
@@SoundFishing2020 just had some yesterday! One batch with half and half, the other without! Neighbors recipe
Never said what the limit of the manilla clams¿
It depends on the state you're in. In Washington, it's 40 clams per person per day.
Nice😀👍
Thanks Carlos!
Is it just me or is there no audio in this video?
There is audio on all the videos.
Weird must've been a problem on my end. It's got audio now
Thanks, I'm glad it's working now.
Whoah! Motion sickness 🤢
