The first comedian I remember getting cancelled was Andrew Dice Clay. That was the start and it was done primarily by "women". It's been down hill every since.

There’s a natural tendency to dislike people who are different, and mild racism used to be acceptable, so don’t pretend that courtesy to others doesn’t have to be taught.
I often think my humor is so off and remember thinking my roomates were nuts watching Married with Children! From the other room it sounded so stupid . But, i sat down one evening and laughed 😂🤣🤣🤣!

It is okay not to like a certain type of comedy. MwC Was one I never liked same as say german comedian Otto in his movies or Louise de Funes. But that does not allow me to call for it to be canceled, censored or otherwise attack them. I just do not watch them and if asked say they are not to my liking

TBH if Seinfeld is 70, mentioning those shows aint so bad. If he said, "Burns and Allen is on, Phil Silvers is on, The Honeymooners are on or The Jack Benny Show is on" I'd still want to see those over whatever is on today and those are my FATHER'S shows.

Night Court is one of my favorite sitcoms, so I tried watching the reboot. While I like Melissa Rauch and I can buy her as Harry Stone’s daughter, the show is NOT FUNNY. My wife and I quit after 2 episodes.
A big difference I noticed was the lack of pauses in the dialogue, just constant chatter without giving the script or the audience time to breathe and let things play out. Some of the funniest moments from the original were when nobody was saying anything, just watching their reactions.

I remember The Jefferson's, Archie Bunker, etc...and the racist tones, BUT there was always a lesson attached to it. Archie would have to eat crow, George would be proven wrong or Tom or Helen would have some witty comeback to put George in his place. It was good tv, everyone laughed.
I miss Married with Children, All in the Family (Archie Bunker) and all the 'violence' in the old cartoons.
