I am from Azerbaijan, and it’s evident to us that the plane was struck by a Russian SAM. The refusal to allow an emergency landing in Russia raises serious questions. There were multiple airports within 200 km of the incident, yet the plane was sent to Aktau, over 450 km away across the Caspian Sea. It seems they hoped the plane would crash in the sea. Only the incredible bravery and professionalism of the pilots (RIP) saved nearly half of the passengers. By letting the plane leave Russian airspace, they made a critical miscalculation. If the crash had occurred on Russian soil, the site would have been cordoned off, evidence of missile damage would have been classified, and no one would ever have seen the truth. Until today, Russia has not admitted responsibility for shooting down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. The incident occurred on July 17, 2014, when the flight was shot down over eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board. An investigation led by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), which included authorities from the Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, and Ukraine, concluded that the missile that brought down the plane came from a Buk surface-to-air missile system, which was under the control of Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine. Despite these findings, Russia has consistently denied any involvement in the incident and has disputed the JIT's conclusions. The Russian government has also refused to hand over individuals who were accused of being involved in the downing of MH17, even though several suspects were identified, including Russian nationals, and the Netherlands requested their extradition. The crux of the matter is that the plane was not only denied the option of landing at other airports in Russia, but when the crew requested this, their request was refused. Probably never.
Who was on that plane?
Innocent passengers obviously
Correction for 2:28 : The pilot was NOT offered to land in 2 other Russian airports, The pilot was actually DENIED requests to land in nearest airport, but was rerouted to Aktua. Russians hoped that the plane would crash in the Caspian Sea and would eradicate the evidence.
It was intentional
Where is the international courts??? Russia do as they please
All commercial flights should stop flying through Russian airspace until further notice since Russia cannot guarantee the safe passage of flights through its airspace.
How a bout Ukraine stop flying drones packed with explosives in international airspace over other countries
Or, you know, maybe Ukraine should stop attacking civilian airports 🤷🏽♀️
@@bigguns8044 Or maybe putler should stop his invasion of neighbour countries?
@@springbloom5940 So you think the ruzzian military stay away of civilian airports?

*The Putin grinch thought it was Santa's Sleigh!* I betcha

The crux of the matter is that the plane was not only denied the option of landing at other airports in Russia, but when the crew requested this, their request was refused. Instead, they were directed to fly toward Kazakhstan beyond the sea, likely with the hope that it would crash into the Caspian Sea, burying all evidence of the attack.Thankfully, the plane managed to reach the eastern coast of the sea, leading to the outcome that is now widely known #RussiaMustApologizeToAzerbaijan
looks like the safest place is ultra basic economy in the last row.
I thought Grozny is in Chechnya? but its being reported as being in Russia?
Because ruzzia stole Chechnya.
Yes, Grozny is in Chechnya. Chechnya is part of Russian Federation.

Its not Russia

So a drone looks like a passenger plane up high
Poor visibility, they saw it on a radar screen.
@@JohnJacobson273 Drones are easily identifiable by radar. If they are even big enough to be seen on radar, they appear significantly smaller than aircraft as big as this. The fools just shot at anything that flew with little regard for what they shot at.
Yes its very hard after a bottle of vodka to see the diffrence.
It would be US and NATO, to blame it on Russia
I can hear the Russians saying this " Like 80s band , A Flock of Seagulls "
They came from behind.
Russia doesn't get to get away with this for the 2nd time.
The comment section is always more reliable than the news channel.
Russia called Trump and asked him what to do about a two hundred foot long drone shaped like a Azerbekistanberjoni aircraft...
incompetent militaries shouldn't wage war...there needs to be consequences
They are slaves of a dictator, indoctrinated..dehumanized, they see nothing wrong in crimes, rapes, destruction, are incapable of showing empathy and humanity
Not much more we can do to the Russians. We already crashed their currency and sanctioned just about everything in and out of the country. We could send in troops, but that would require a lot of analysis of the consequences of that decision. In the end, the goal needs to be to remove Putin, but I don't think immediate co sequences are possible.
Like how the US Navy just shot down one and almost two of its own planes, just a couple days ago?

Probably the 20th time.
When the plane was hit by a missle, there was depressurization. Oxygen mask must be used, but its resources are limited. The plane had to descend below the level at which passengers could brief without the masks. But unfortunately, the plane could not flight without control among mountains (in Russia). That is why the plane turned to land in Aktau (a flat steppe).
I gotta give Putin alot of credit, it took years and billions of dollars and alot of hard work but he now owns almost half of the republican party.

US shit down their own plane couple days ago dumbass😂
I’m already know the answer. Russian response: it’s Ukraine fault.
Well they are also in part to blame
It is Ukraine fault. If you disagree give a cogent and factual summary of the military or strategic significance of the civilian airport in that area to the course of the war in the Donbass.
@@Masantajp I agree with you. Attacking Grozny changes nothing on the front line. It seems like an act of desperation.
The russian air defenses must be pretty bad if they couldn't shot down a jetliner.

Just consider this crash was caused by Russian birds.
😑 Russians shot it down, don't fly over War Zones the end.
It's amazing that it is the first commercial air plane that has been shot down in the course of Russia's almost three year invasion of Ukraine. This means that Russians shoot their missiles quite accurately.

Not the first time russia shot down passenger plane!
It happens. We just accidentally shot down one of our own F18s taking off from an Aircraft Carrier. Obviously, this is far more tragic.
Happened 5 times by the Russian’s
Difference is - we admitted it . The Russians deny it .
What does it have to do with this??

US downed a RAF Tornado, two F18s almost a F16,(which fired first and took out a PATRIOT) and probably another F18 in Iraq... who doesn't have aircraft. Thats not counting the Iranian airliner they took down. You know and then the F18 they took down just a couple days ago, including the second one they fired on and missed. What does that add up to?

I'm not an expert by any means when it comes to anti-aircraft weaponry, but there isnt any sign of damage to the plane as it crashes to the ground. No smoke, no signs that it was hit by a missile. And the fact that so many people survived?
Again, im no expert but those seem to be major details that everyone is ignoring
