So glad I can do this. I haven't been able to do music for a few years and thought that I would not be able to get the LiquidMix to work with the upgraded OS - still behind on macOS in order to keep stuff working but had to upgrade to El Capitan! Thanks again.
if you are to use 32 lives to use the liquidmix in logic pro x, don't forget to right-click the LiquidMix app, click on get info and check "prevent app nap" to reduce lag issues!
Thanks ever so much Adrian, I had the exact same issues when attempting to install on High Sierra, your work around looks as if it will do the job nicely.
Hi I too am using high Sierra but cannot see Liquid Mix show in Ableton Live 10? Any ideas please?
Hey Adrian , just saved my life buddy. Thx
great. Thanks a lot. I will try in my High Sierra. Finger crossed, since I had the same problem. Regards.
Thanks a lot for this. The installation went fine (I already had the emulations installed from a previous OS X version). The plug-in basically works, but the response of the GUI to the hardware controller is incredible sluggish and erratic. It got much better briefly when I switched to 2 tracks (I was only using two anyway), but eventually the controller has no effect, and I can only adjust LM via the GUI. It's a shame Focusrite appears to have abandoned LM. I realize it's about 8 years old, but the hardware was well made and potentially has years of life left (as long as Firewire stays available).
Really appreciate this video bud. Thought I was SOL. Thanks
Thank you! Saved me a bunch of time :)
What a wonderful person you are. 💚🕺🏼
You are the man! 🖤
Hi mate! Thanks for the reply and your awesome video.. just relocated my office/studio and using the liquid mix was one of the bits of kit I didn't want too lose..But yes! It works with Sierra no problem I'm running logic pro x with latest updates including Sierra... Not sure about High Sierra when it comes out but glad too remix older mixing projects and incorporate it with Apollo twin UAD plugins...amazing! #i'mtheone....lmao 🤣
Oh man I love u!!! Thankyou!!
Thanks - very handy.
Thank you man !!
Wonderful!
Thanks very much! Cheers
Thanks Bruno! :)
Glad it worked for you.
Very Very BIG Thank you !
Did this work out for you Midumo?
+Adrian Davis Yes! It's work out perfectly!!!
Big thanks! I love my Liquid Mix and want to keep using it. I was able to install the software just like you instructed, but how do I git my DAW to see it? I'm using Studio One.
hi, great video. i did just the way you described it and it worked lile a charm. BUT, i am experiencing weird behaviour on the liquid mix 32. I work wirth an imac 27" i5 3.4, yosemite and cubase 7. It takes forever to load an instance into the insert chain, and then i see a signal coming into the liquid mix but nothing is going out of it. so actually, as soon as i insert the plug in into a channel the channel remains silent - even when i load emulations for EQ and compressor. DO you have any idea why that is? cheers, mark
Hi , does it works with 64 bit system /daw?
Hi, ts method working in Mavericks?
I have done following recommendation, but got a message on Liquid Mix "No active plug-in!" Any ideas how to treat it? Thanks
I have a problem, I connect the hardware to the mac and it says "initializing firewire" on the display and after a while it changes to "firewire failed" and it doesn't recognize the hardware, I managed to install AU but I can't install the liquidmix manager because of no recognize the hardware (I can start the manager but even inside it says that no hardware is connected) would anyone know how or have solved this problem?
Hello ! I can not find this file pax in emu 44.1 did you have the possibility to send this file please
Thank you. You said you are using "Belkin Thunderbolt dock"" how are you connecting to the Liquidmix? using Firewire?
Correct, Belkin Thunderbolt Dock was going into the liquidmix via firewire
ok, but where canI get the 3.01dmg software? It's not on the focus rite site.
IT#s not working in logic, cos the components are not found by logic....so they are not in the AU manager of logic....
any suggests?

Nice 1 for this mate! does this work on sierra as well?
Hi There,
Sorry, I don't use the liquid mix anymore, but the same technique should work for Sierra, I just haven't tested it :(
Do you have a liquid mix and Sierra? If So let me know how you go with it
hello Adrian, i used your method to get my liquid mix working with success but i have an issue with the hardware loosing sync with the software at random stages ..did you encounter this issue at all?
+itch vids (itchie) Hi there, I didn't experience this issue, however, I don't use my Liquid Mix any more, have you got a video of the issue?
it was with Ableton Live and i found a work around if i clicked on the manager windows ..but now i have decided to go with a universal audio satellite quad
Hi +Adrian...
did you use last software version ?
Hi Ronald,
This was for El Capitan, however it should also work for Yosemite.
Let me know if it doesn't work for you.
+Adrian Davis I asked about liquid mix application. Happy New Year!!!
Same here, does it work on Sierra?

I am having major crackling and popping when loading LM onto a track... Any suggestions. Just started with El Capitan.
+Lance Blaise Hi Lance, I have unfortunately since sold that unit, but I may be able to borrow one to test, I didn't have those issues with mine when I made this video - what spec's are your computer, and how is the LM connected to it?
+Adrian Davis I have a 3 month old 13" MBP retina. I have to use a firewire to Thunderbolt adapter. Maybe that is the problem?
That may be the problem - it shouldn't be.
Do you have power connected to it?
The video is of a mac mini server direct connected to the LM with external power as well...
+Adrian Davis I don't have external power hooked up. I will give that a try tomorrow and see if it fixes the problem. Thanks for your help! I will let you know how I make out.
+Adrian Davis so I tried with a power supply today. No such luck. I think it has to do with the fact that I am using the Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. Not sure why they thought it was a good idea to ditch firewire ports...
where can I get the software from?
Hi Miguel,
The software is from the focusrite website.
Remember you need the liquidmix hardware unit to use it.
