I started my season ticket plan the following year in ‘90 so I’d have a shot at tickets to the last game at Memorial. Loved that place. Still a season ticket holder 33 years later
Man Jim Joyce always found himself in the middle of it! Unreal! The old physics call, clearly the ball does not disappear from the home plate camera angle. Funniest thing was the next day Rader got ejected before the first pitch because he brought it up to the umpires. And then the Angels lost the game on another iffy call down the first base line on a double. And on top of that, this was the same umpiring crew that Robinson wanted to quit over a week earlier because of claims of unfair treatment! Talk about cursed.
I recal this game. I miss SO much about baseball, not the Rushed cheap version played where ball it is no longer timeless. Clocks DONOTbelong in baseball, nor do LED boards or adverts on MLB uniforms. And MLB ballplayers shpuld jave matchimg shoes and belts. These players look like 7 yr old rec league players now. Its so.GUADY to watch ugly and not relaxing anymore.
