- Fujifilm has just announced one of its newest cameras -- the Fujifilm X-T50!
The double-digit X-T series cameras have always been aimed at hobbyists but, now that the X-T50 has a price tag of Php 92,990, it's kinda hard to figure out who to recommend this brilliant shooter to.
We go through all the new things to expect from this camera that make it fantastic and possibly a replacement to the ever internet famous -- X100VI.
Pricing details for the Fujifilm X-T50:

Agree! Pricing doesn’t make sense anymore for hobbyists.
However hobbyists buy the more expensive X100VI, so it appears it does.
Nice video, thanks for posting. I have a question regarding the new 5th generation sensor. Are there any improvements besides the pixel count? Some youtubers mentioned that new sensor has more vivid and punchier colors versus 4th gen with more flat and muted output. I narrowed down to XS20 and XT50, but 26 megapixels is more than enough for me. On the other hand, if new sensor has batter output, I want it to get one.
I plan to use Jpeg with film simulations.
Its not weather sealed so thats a deal breaker
How I wish I could afford to buy a Fujifilm camera since highschool I have been a fan of the color science and form factor. I will stick with sony for now hopefully I can change camera system again soon...
if you use prime as I do, battery is not much of a problem. With just one extra battery, you are good for the day.
For a novice, would the xt50 with a 27mm f2.8 lens be comparable for everyday shooting to the x100vi? I'm trying to decide whether to pre-order the xt50 vs. pressing my luck trying to actually get a 100vi.
Pretty much and you get the flexibility of changing lenses.
My x100vi evf/ovf broke and couldn’t be fixed. Seemed like they are having a decent amount of problems. I’m picking this up instead and getting the 23 f2
I will stick to my X-S20. The swivel screen is why. ❤
Hello. Thanks for the video. Just let me say that I'll never buy the X-T5, but yes I'm going to change my X-T30 for a new X-T50 because... the size.
I shoot street photos and the size of X-T5 is not accurate for me. Regards.
I really am considering getting a Nikon Zf, and the recent moves by Fuji are only pushing me harder that way.
Went and held one yesterday, it’s so big! The shutter sounded amazing though
Love my x100v, my Sony and lumix gear as well. Would have considered this beauty but the lack of weather sealing just makes it so useless as a all around use camera
You already have an X100V. I think you're good with that. Plus, I'm jealous. Fuji Tax is real in the Philippines.

Apir gusto mo?
pangarap ko noon nong highschool ako magkaroon ng ganyan na camera pero ngayon cp na gusto ko basta goods camera kaso yung tag 3k lang naman ma afford ko sa cp hahaha 😆😆😆
The price could work if it was weather sealed. But to me is a deal breaker
Can you make a comparison of xt50 vs Xs20? This will really help
Unfortunately, we do not have access to an X-S20.
@@unboxph sad luck then
Xt50 or Xs20? More on photography and not much for taking videos..
First fix last firmware update for xt5/xh2/xh2s /xs20
Why spend money for new camera body ......
For that price, I'd rather get a used XT-5.
x100vi pa rin bro. EVF/OVF, leaf shutter and built-in flash + the looks 😁
Stocks lang talaga. Huhuhu.
Stocks at pera pambili.
Xt30ii still Great ! If you Need 40mpx buy xt5
Agree.
I want 40mpix, I don't want the increase in weight, size and cost of the X-T5. That extra cost is an extra lens too.
@@JackBurton-qp4hc extra cost ? You Spend 200€ More for a better Camera. Which lens you you buy for 200€ ?
@@GOekks
Whatever lens I want to put that money towards, not rocket science is it!

Thank you! 😅
The price is so insane for an apsc unweather sealed body and shockingly, people are still going to buy them. As far as you want to say that they must be out of their minds, it is what it is. It's as if people have that much resources these days that they might be forgetting to consider their money's worth should they purchase this while Fuji's smart enough to fool anyone nowadays and laughing all the way to the bank.
I'm just either flabbergasted or dumbfounded and I'm saying this as an owner of 2 Fujifilm cameras [XT3 and X100v where the former was bought heavily discounted while the latter at SRP which I considered expensive already].
I'm still trying to get my hands on a X100V that's second hand. Hopefully when I visit Europe next I find one. Fuji Tax ain't so bad there.
You could get a full frame camera for the same price

But it isn't a Fuji. If you have no interest in what Fuji does, then why bother looking at Fuji in the first place?
@nathanielngosy
I am likely to buy the X-T50. I am not out of my mind. I will get an APS-C 40mpix ILC with IBIS and improved AF in the size and weight that I want. It'll replace my existing Fuji that does not offer the higher resolution, better AF and of course IBIS.
But then I know what I want from a Fuji camera and my requirements differ from yours. Shocker eh?
Feel free to suggest an alternative that matches the X-T50 spec though (no, not the bigger X-T5), that's the point, there isn't one for *ME*
@@JackBurton-qp4hc I'm unsure what's your point in trying to ridicule me off my comment. It's my personal opinion on it and I will not take back how ridiculous that price is for an APSC sensor that's not weather sealed (Even if it has 40mpx). So if you want it, then go ahead. But I'm not just going to waste my money on some gadget that's personally underwhelming (e.g., AF still frustrating even coming from an avid Fuji named I AM TONGUE) unless they'd price it fittingly around US$1000 - US$1100. And kindly don't waste your energy on insulting my comment because reading it obviously offended you as those are hard facts.
Wonder woman may be ?
Imagine taking photos and gettign caught in a rain storm. Bamm, say bye bye camera.
For that price I will choose full frame
If any camera will do, why look at Fuji anyway?
@@JackBurton-qp4hc Why are you asking?
@@GoingMerry1876
If you aren't interested in the unique features of a Fuji, then any other brand will do. So why did you look at Fuji in the first place?
@@JackBurton-qp4hc I think it's not anymore your business if I want fuji or other brands and I'm not asking for your opinion also. My comment is my opinion especially for the price itself.
@@GoingMerry1876
Which means that you have not considered the unique features of the Fuji. Just as I thought.
Too early
Were you here before it even processed in 4K? Hahaha.
The X-T50 is your lesser priced iPhone; there are 2 reasons, some can't afford the Pro Max, and some prefer the smaller form factor. It's a strategy that any type of product manufacturer use. You see with any product, even in the car industry. There's a market for smaller, less featured, and compact products. You can't compare it to a pro product because that's not it's intention.
There's nothing to be stumped about. If you want a pro lineup, X-T5 and of G series, anything below is for hobby and or C bodies.
…tf are you talking about? The price was raised by over 50% over the last generation
How stupid does Fuji think people are?.....except for Fuji Influencers this morning.
I’m not an influencer but I guess I’m stupid cause I like it 😊
