Wow what a great day you had at Coventry Mike. All those diverts made it a cracking video to watch, and that's the first time i've seen 70008 in its new livery on video actually out working, so thumbs up for that mate. Have a very happy and healthy New Year to you and your family Mike, all the best, Colin.
Yes a great day I had Colin and I only went local to what I normally do. It was a long video for me but I'm pleased you enjoyed it and didn't fall asleep lol. Take care Mike.
Very good Mike I am looking forward to filming the new Freightliner 60 livery myself and excellent going away shot at 21 mins Cov was really busy for once
Season’s Greetings to you Mike 😎🎄⭐️a great video there at Coventry, although the new livery for the Freightliner 70’s IMHO is actually hideous 👀 although that livery is positively wonderful compared to the new proposed XC livery for the refurb of the Voyagers🫣 the new proposed external colour scheme for the XC Voyagers looks like a colourblind person has gone haywire with a dozen tins of paint 😖🤣🤡 Keep up the great work, your video’s are always of great interest…Happy New Year for 2025, although in railway terms I still wish it was 1985 😄🇬🇧👍🏽
Good to see your name pop up, I get how you feel about the FL class 70 livery's but they have grown on me now, I'm sorry I have no interest in XC Voyagers so I don't know what you are on about, but I will do my upmost to keep the quality video coming, and like you I too would be happy to have the traction we had in 1985 or early 90s. Happy New Year Mike.
You are so right Ben, and the best part about it is I didn't have to go very far, but a shame I didn't get a proper breakfast. I always remember you saying the trains come before food. Cheers.
Nice vid Mike , I’ve not been to Coventry for over 40years to watch the trains, happy Xmas and have a good new year . Hopefully bump into you again in 2025
Great video Mike from Coventry, the freight trains were always an issue. Always too many trains and not enough railway. The new livery on the class 70 looks interesting but I think it would have looked better in tango orange. Stay safe and happy New Year 🤓 well done 👏
Well Tony regarding liveries we all have our thoughts, I'm just happy I get to see as many freight train as possible when I'm out and about. But I think it will grow on me in time, and a Happy New Year to you Tony and lets hope we both have good heath in 2025. regards Mike.
Smashing shots and captures Mike. Excellent action and variety there. Good liveries as well, those 70s were great. Loved that colas engineer at the end as well. Plenty of action for you, was fantastic. Very nice indeed. Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing!
What a blockbuster episode Mike! You caught so much and yes a wonderful shot of a very oldie Redshed 002 powering up there a testament to the class as i must be over 26 years young! Went for a walk at local lake and had a fall just as we returned back to the car park, so my left arm is very painful and restricts me from day to dsyd tasks, typical! Anyway hope you hsd a great Christmas and a well earned rest. Cheers for now Nick.
Brilliant video 👍 You were very lucky with that first shot of the colas tamper. Nice to see you also caught 70008 in its new livery. That last clip was definitely interesting with the colas 66 pulling a RHTT set, a crane and other wagons. Brilliant job seems like you had a fab time here. Hope you had a great Christmas 👍
Well yes I had a very good Christmas day at my daughters with the family, and I hope your went well also. Back to my video from Coventry it was well worth going but I was planning to go a hour earlier which at four in the morning decided not to but looking back it would have been worth it as one of the overnight trains ran late which I have only seen the return working from Appleford. Thank you for your interest in this video matey, regards Mike.
@@antman09ful1 Nice to hear, yeah my Christmas was great thanks. Ah ok, well I look forward to the next one, will try to watch some of the previous ones if I get a chance too in the next couple days 👍
I had an appointment in town and seen 66030 come through Lea Hall looked at traksy and was baffled by its route to Birch Coppice this video makes sense as to why. Great Video really enjoyed that.
Wow…a long one but certainly an interesting time to have spent at Coventry. The 37 at the begineeing was nice & good that you got the FL 70 in the retro/one off livery whilst it was still clean. I imagine with the diversions the signallers have a bit of a job on trying to squeeze the freight through without impacting the passenger trains. Inevitable things go wrong/ people mess up.
That was a long one.....but freight trains look just as good on x2 speed, so it reduces the time, lol. Plenty of freight to enjoy Mike. Happy New Year to you. Steve
Great to see the early sheds still going although the db paint job looks so cheap compared to the EWS brown. 003 hasn’t been seen since mid November, could be getting the dire schenk red
@antman09ful1 no lol I film a lot of the Colas 37,s thru Chesterfield and they look like they've been pulled out of the river Trent, especially if u compare them to the Rail Operations Group 37,s, which look fantastic
Great place at the right time. Good to see such an early 66 (002) out and about. Did you know, as you depart Coventry from platform 4 heading north, the line next to the retaining wall is lovingly referred to as "the wall of death" due to how slippery it can be during leaf-fall.

Ok Mark I will be my best to keep the channel interesting, cheers regards Mike.
Very enjoyable, cheers !!.
Thanks for your comment Andrew, pleased you enjoyed my footage, regards Mike.

Yes that will be very interesting seeing class 60 in Freightliner livery or do you mean class 70s.

Super video Mike, packed full of action. Nice to get the retro liveried 70 on film.
Yes it was a great visit Matthew.
Superb video Mike. You have done well at Coventry with the diverts recently 👏🏻

@antman09ful1 That's good then Mike, ah fair enough as long as the breakfast was good. And you!

Thank you Cheers.
Good diverts Mike and all the best for 2025.👍👍
Thank you Tony, HNY to you mate.
Absolutely brilliant Mike. Some cracking shots on there. I've not seen the colas track machine. 37057 sounded well clearing her throat lol. Brilliant
As you can see from the video Pete I had a excellent visit to Cov, cheers Pete for the comment, see you in 2025 Mike.

Thanks for your thoughts on my video mate.
70 008 looked great in her new livery. Its about time Colas did the same!
Well they can't do the same as FL.
@antman09ful1 no lol, but they always look battered and filthy

Nice one mate 👍see you later today
Thanks Richard for watching the video, I will ring you when I set off from home.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Super video Mike :)
Many thanks Simon.
Great catches, I still don't like any of the new liveries on the 70's though 🤮
Well thanks for your thoughts mate.
