      Love your content!
Which commentary or video essay channels have inspired you, if any?
Which software do you use to edit?
What do you think of Bedroom Pop?
Have you considered making videos on latest music-related news or drama? Reviewing Grammys or new albums instead of just classic albums? Would love it if you regularly put out videos listing your favourite rising artists or artists to watch, etc.
      Thanks!

"Cellophane" was the first song I ever heard from her, and it hit really hard. The video was absolutely stunning, and I wanted to know who that amazing dancer was. When I realized that it was actually herself, my brain went nuclear.

The first song of hers I heard was 'Water Me' and it floored me. The production, her vocals, the creepy visuals etc I'd not heard anything like this before. FKA twigs is such an innovative artist. I think if she continues making more amazing work like this that she'll become a legend in the same way as Kate Bush and Bjork.

I don’t know if the world will ever see Fka twigs as her true fans do. She’s such a multifaceted being doing a beautiful craft but still underrated and unrecognizable by the main stream. She is more than talented she is GIFTED. I came across her when my thoughts started aligning with stuff that’s different and ever since she’s been my favorite artist. I listen to her music every single day and I can tell how much work she puts into everything. I tried showing my friends her music once but all they know is modern rap and pop so they aren’t interested or think it’s good. ugh.

Brilliant video - thank you! I think I'd like to underscore how much fo the Pattinson scrutiny/backlash was fully fueled by racism, as seen in that quick pic you showed of her having to call it out publicly.

    • @a.madison9625
      @a.madison9625 3 роки тому +4

Sadly, most of that racism and the negative comments came from Kristen Stewart's deranged fans. They can't accept that she's bisexual and prefers to be with women, they can only be her fan if she's Pattinson's girlfriend. It's a Twilight sickness. They only see her as Bella, and as such, she has to be with Edward. Stewart has one of the most sick fandoms in the world. They're homophobic and live in an alternative universe. They didn't just do this to Twigs, they do it to Katy Perry because she's a friend of Pattinson's, and they do it on the IG of his current girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, who is white. They leave the same kind of hateful comments on her social media as they did with Twigs. Pattinson's own fans were very happy when he was with Twigs, and still support her. They ended on good terms and have no beef.

I've been to a lot of concerts in my life- but I've NEVER seen a concert like hers. The Magdalene concert especially was a visual arts and dance art experience along with her songs that she sang.
I would love for her to get more recognition because she's extremely multitalented and underrated-- BUT, at the same time I don't want to share her with the world because I'd hate for her to become too commercialized.

I have to be in a very particular state to listen to / watch FKA Twigs because her sound, her voice, and her performances give me whole-body frisson and open all of my chakras. It's an experience that's like a distant cousin to a UFO abduction, where a person is driving along at night, begins to feel strange, and snaps back into miles down the road, losing an hour of their lives that they can't place. I ain't got time for that shit but once every few months.

I got into Twigs the tail end of 2014. At first I was having none of it because my friend led in with oh she’s dating Rob and I had had just about enough of her and twilight. So one day we’re in the car and she played Video Girl and I said hey who is that?!! She got real smug and I said oh you win. By the time we got to where we were going I had taken in all of LP1 and was glad. See when M3LL155X came out I was ready. Mother creep is still very high on my list of faves. I didn’t even realize she was in Jessie J video. She’s an incredibly talented artist. She embodies that word. Her sound and vision are refreshing even if sometimes it scares me a little. When I saw that video of her singing Cellophane at that fashion show I asked my friend who hurt her cause that came from
Her soul and it was beautiful.

Honestly, I had never heard of twigs before... Internet music reviewers haven't said much, and American radio may as well be dead (Ed Sheeran 24/7 is not a good time), so I checked her out, and she has a good sound. It's definitely not R&B... If anything her style seems almost vaguely triphop, like Portishead's 3rd album or a touch of Bjork.
Thanks for the great video, I love basically everything you do. Keep it up!

Everyone keeps saying she's not recognized by the mainstream enough. Personally, who cares? The purpose and point of her music, her artistry is expression. I love pop and many mainstream artists, but that's part of what makes her different. She's not swaying or moving to whatever is in trend, popular or accepted. That's what makes her even more authentic and sincere. You want mainstream then listen to that, you want different listen to her. Let her be where she is, and what she is. Art takes time, and not being in the mainstream allows her to do that.

I know her since years, and from the first second I loved her, BC I directly had the feeling, this woman is special, stunning, unique, something we never saw before. Two weeks is epic .. I totally love that song...but I love everything of her...how she dances, how she sings, how she moves, what she tries to tell us.
I really hope she knows how great and unique she is. I never understood why Robert Pattinson?
But it's not up to me to judge her or anyone else. She had her reasons
What I often think is, that in this times to to be a superstar with millions of fans is not a proof of being a real and great artist. Most of the superstars in music business sing songs other people wrote. I better like if a singer sings songs, s/he wrote her/himself. Because this way we listen to that artists very own thoughts.
:" Unfortunately today it's a bigger sign to be a real and outstanding artist, if you have not that much fans as an Ariana Grande (🤮) or Rihanna has. Actually all artists, at least I consider a REAL, outstanding and unique artist, rather have a certain bunch of supporters. So if I would be an artist, that really wants to express him/herself, that really wants to give a piece of her/himself to her/his audience, I most probably wouldn't be that happy if I had millions and millions of fans and I would reach an "Ariana Grande- state".
In this times..to have several millions of fans is not a proof of quality and real art!
But you are real art .. fka twigs. I love you for the REAL artist you are. For the fact, that we see YOU in the words you sing and the moves you make. Thank you SO much!!! Thank you for what you give to us!

You do really seem to get her. I was gutted by the hate of her while she was with Pattinson - how could people - women, especially (God, what has happened to a "sisterhood"?) not see how amazing she was? She really belongs with people like Kate - a dancer/enrapturing singer/truly individual voice (in the sense that women who step outside and could embarrass others with their talent, belong together). I'm glad you made this vid.
