- "What's a spacewalk like? What do you feel?" As NASA prepares to send the first woman and next man to the Moon by 2024 under the #Artemis program, Brad Pitt is playing an astronaut in his latest film, Ad Astra. On Sept. 16 from NASA Headquarters in Washington, the actor spoke to astronaut Nick Hague about what it’s truly like to live and work in space.
Here are the questions that Brad Pitt asked Nick Hague?
0:59 How did we do [in the movie]? How was our Zero-G?
1:33 Do you know what everything is on the wall behind you?
2:33 What are the repercussions on your body in Zero-G?
2:38 How do you gauge your waking hours if you see 16 sunrises and sunsets each day?
3:50 Is there a night shift?
4:45 Could you see the Chandrayaan-2 Moon mission from the International Space Station?
6:15 What are your current missions?
8:02 What does spaceflight affect your mental state? How do you keep it at peace?
9:25 What is your experience like as you look back on Earth?
10:57 Who controls the jam box?
11:49 How are you able to stay in a single space?
12:53 How are you using 3D printing in space?
14:33 What is a spacewalk like?
16:18 Who is more believable playing an astronaut (George Clooney or Brad Pitt)? - Наука та технологія
4:46 when he asked about Indian Lunar lander.

Thank you bhai this is what I came here
I am here for that only 😄
thank you
Informed actor.. didn't sound dumb at any point.. knew about India's Chandrayaan 2
The actor was informed... unfortunately the script writers weren't.
I think Brad is only actor till now whose movie in a way get promoted from space
NASA promotes the movie, the movie promotes NASA, in theory anyway. It’s a bit strange given how cynical Ad Astra is about space exploration; its bleak depiction of humanity’s future in space. Beautiful, but hardly “lighting a fire in the imaginations of the next generation of explorers”.
Forgot about the Martian
Actors talking to Actors. The ISS actor says it best...lighting a fire in the IMAGINATIONS. Nothing more than an elaborate overpaid deception.
A russian comedy had a novel filmed in space..it was pretty bad, to be honest, but still.
Владислав Иванов Novels are books FYI 😹🥂 Hey, btw, do you believe people exist in the opposite direction directly below you on “the other side of the world?” 🙃
This was a great idea, NASA. More events of this type would be so cool if they were more routine.
Thank you so much.
Gabriel Vazquez I agree! Would be cool if they did this more often
Definitly a good strategy if they want to make the space station public for tourists if it retires in 2020
These are the things that connect NASA to the masses and garner support for spaceflight. Most people just don't realise how important it is for our evolution as a species.
Actors talk to Actors all the time. There is nothing special about this sci fi propaganda.
@@MonsieurDrobot then please go away.
I spoke to an astronaut on the Shuttle on 2 meter FM (144 MHz ham frequency), and I'm not Brad Pitt. :]
How long did they stay in range?
@@scott_meyer Only a few minutes.
Cool 👍
Isn't that illegal?
What did u speak?
what strikes me the most is how down to Earth... nevermind
LOL! I see what you did there. :D
🤣😂😂😂
Watched this live on nasa tv. They actually have interviews between astronauts and students all over the world. Its awesome.
World War Z is my favourite movie and thanks for concern about Indian lunar mission. Love from INDIA🇮🇳.
People usually dont like zombie movies but brad pitt saved the genre🥰

Chandrayaan 2 ❤ 4:46 Thank you Brad Pitt
To men speaking in one dimension but a world apart. GREAT STUFF...I enjoyed this encounter. good luck NICK,........ AND A SAFE JOURNEY HOME.
actually...ISS is about 400 km away from earth so its hardly worlds apart...
@@exactname649I think you know exactly what he/she means, don't let the glass be half empty. Try to look at the bright side of life, be creative, don't be bitter, have some imagination. It will make you happy 😊
It’s really great to watch such successful interview. Pitt asks like professional journalist ! It was enjoyable to watch it. You need to watch all video👍👍👍👍
Called LLC They had movie on moon in 1969. So no problem to broadcast and have perfect video over any speed. Do not forget! Army and space technology has higher technology 5-10 years before we have it in techno markets. Drone techniques was in army 15 years before and some people thoughts that they were UFO :))) so be relax and enjoy the video ;))
@UCWQQBJ923pBV1djz8eRkBOQ Hey its a crazy. Hey crazy.
He's a lot less irritating than most msm reporters that's for sure
*4:48** INDIA 🇮🇳 .. REALLY KILLING IT!!* 💯💯🙏🏼
Definitely killed the moon rover
Love you NASA for this Event.
Love you USA.
Love from India.
GoD Bless Humanity.
Love you to India. It was great to have prime minister modi in Houston today with president Trump
@@bradthorne22 Thanks ! In India we are watching Live.
God doesnt exist, but lets bless each other with being nice and work together instead of war, fighting and all that meaningless stuff. That's the best gift we can give each other :) Cheers from Norway
Brad Pitt might be a movie star and I've loved several of his movies, but astronauts are heroes, they're our guiding star in a seemingly less and less bright world.
Excelsior!
Priceless moments of our times. Go NASA, go.
This is so cool, awesome event, thank you for sharing!
I was so into the video, I didn't know how time passed away so fast. Really appreciate all the hard work from you guys. Greetings from Nepal!
Station, this is Brad how do you hear me... Like a pro... Love it... 👍
Pitt seems at peace with himself, therefore the good dialogue. Good that actors and celebs not only are airheads... This was a good conversation with mutual respect from both sides :)
Props to Brad Pitt for giving an informed and respectful interview.
Excellent questions from Mr. Pitt. Always loved him as an actor.
Nick! A very enjoyable visit. Thanks for sharing.. Glad you and Brad could connect in the interest of space. John
I bet Nick had to hold back his excitement of being allowed to talk to Brad Pitt.
@10:26 Nick was channelling the great Carl Sagan.
Nick is a very smart and educated person. It was interesting to listen his answers
Thank you so much for the work NASA do, and I will definitely check out your movie Brad.
NASA we need more of this!
Off to see Ad Astra now :)
Nick has some really nice thoughts on space and other things.
I liked this idea to doing an interview with someone from earth and ISS, thank you NASA
Awesom encouraging, inspiring video! More, please!

Probably I would call my mum if she would be up in space !
Brad has a very nice voice !
Greetings from Switzerland and all my love to the ISS !
Great event
Excited for Artemis to carry human dream and curiosity up to the moon
@Colin Berg whoever lands on Mars
For me it's a human race's achievement.
Not sure who to be more envious of. The chance to have a chat to Nick or chat to Brad would both be extremely cool. 👍 😉
this is awesome... I was imagining the space walk when he was explaining
Excellent initiative NASA! Absolutely loved watching this... Every second of it!
This was the best interview my lovely Brad with Nick Hague that was interesting to watch that I'm so proud of my lovely Brad with best movie Ad Astra in 2019 the best year of his career 😘😘🔥🔥💯💯🌟🌟🥵🥵🙏😇🙌👌👍😉💋🤴👏🏻
Wo! That's Amazing!
Brad Asking Questions About ISRO, India's Chandrayaan2 to a NASA Astronaut !👌
Still Remember BRANGELINA's trip to India.
Saw them roaming around PUNE, India in an Auto-Rickshaw. With hoards of Paparazzi following!
Here's Wishing 'Ad Astra' a Huge Success!
Eu fiquei emocionada ! Que experência incrível!
Blessings for the astronaut, his friends and family! Have a safe return.

Vanessa 420 puppet show
At 4:48 he asked about the Vikram lander
The summer of my tenth birthday, Sputnik was launched. I've been a huge fan of NASA for a long time. I'm glad the race is over and that we are in a "co-operating" mode. I also had a great Sunday School teacher who tested timing devices for NASA.
Thanks for the view.

Play Me watched the Apollo’s from the Ponde Verdra beach near Jacksonville Florida, we loved watching it cut across the sky, it was big deal! Watched landing on moon, Neil at school on those big rolling Tav, have followed my whole life, nope they didn’t invest in us, hopefully now!
Superb video calling technology 👌👍👏
Brad did an excellent job interviewing Nick.
Excellent! I still need to watch that Brad Pitt movie.
great interview.
9:24 the most profound explanation of something I'll probably never live
LOL from space and humanity to the jam box, this was fun.
@CoD Speed I don't think Movie star Memories is the one who needs to wake up. What you're doing is shameful! We should be proud of these accomplishments! Not deny them, and try to make others doubt them too! A lot of people have put in many hours of extremely hard work to achieve all that we have achieved. People like you are trying to take that away from them. Nice try, but, too bad for you, nothing can take away from what is.
Awesome video!
Great acting lessons from both.
THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING.
That was one healthy interactive session.
Brad's teaching them how to act like they're in space
Thanks for this and thank you Brad for you dedication to the future!
And $20M, probably.
Fantastic we love NASA
Dear Nasa, I love you ❤ I'm Brazilian, I dream one day to be part of this team! 🙏
This was great to watch
That would be amazing to see !! I want to see a video of a flame in zero G. Why don't we get to see that ?
There are billions of videos of that in the internet, people just don't search for that
Moves kinda like liquid, one thing Event Horizon got right.
@@ale131296 Thank you ! I found 4 on youtube. Pretty cool. I'm still looking for the "billions". Haha just kidding
Check nasa's site! There's a lot of free content.
Ok, have to watch that movie now :-)
Eye Opening Conversation SpaceExploration Takes An Incredible 24 / 7 Collaboration 💫✨
Awesome and amazing. Doe's NASA still have that space program/school for children? Sure the view from up there is truly something to see!
I think they do. It programs the kids conditioning them for satanism. Should prolly get kids into horticulture, cooking and other trade skills instead.
4:48 Brad Pitt asks about Chandrayaan 2(India's Moon Lander)
ISRO♥️♥️♥️
This video clip deserves millions of views!
Great talk, very interesting 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝
When Brad Pitt says he respects and admires this astronaut, what he means is, Tyler Dirden wants to fight him.
Love these!
Love you from India
OK...next level cool!! I'm nerding out.
Tys NASA for asking about Indian moon mission
I like the space station app live I can only imagine being up there
Cool
Check out their live camera feeds.

Okay I will thank you
What laptop is it thinkpad or dell?
Let's not mess around..these chaps need an interior designer and an architect.
Where's the huge comfy glass bubble dome where they can hang out without a space suit but still see everything?
Que bonito 🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇺🇲🇺🇲❤️🇪🇦❤️🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦💃💃💃🐴🇪🇦🇺🇲🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇺🇲
Well, with all due respect, NASA wasn't really "assisting" ISRO (India) landing the spacecraft. ISRO was doing on its own. But for sure they may have helped to exchange some notes during development and helping now to locate it.
They areproviding communication links. Technically they are assisting!
Love it very nice too see, as an young adult it inspiret me ;)
This 17 minute clip easily matched the 17 minutes of cool stuff on his space movie.
Super Cool Video!
Brad is very genuine
We are looking good up there!
This chat is going exactly like mine.
Like thinking what to ask next then the other person replies and you don't understand anything yet you say yes that's good. xD
Hello from Brazil...
Space is there to learn more about ourselves. We can experience this not only in a space station, but in exchange with people who share their experiences with us from up there and down here with people who make space travel possible.
I am firmly convinced that we must take the step into the vastness of the universe to protect our future, the next generations of mankind, from danger. But there are not only dangers for us like asteroids, solar storms and the already real existing global warming for which we have to go into space.
They are also great opportunities for people like Brad Pitt, you or me to expand our spiritual horizons with facts about the experiences and experiments of people living in space.
So we can protect ourselves from delusions and it helps us to find new ways together to do the right thing, to make the right decisions and to fill our daily profession on earth with the right consequences for the future of our children and ourselves.
I would like to especially thank NASA, Brad Pitt and astronaut Nick Hague for their serious effort to share some of your experiences with us here on UA-cam.
With cosmic greetings: Andres Stäubli, Switzerland, Rüti Glarus
Dear NASA. I love you.
I wander what notebooks they use there for work?
Hahah really? This was unexpected, they should do this with Matt Damon too at this point 😄👍
He is still riding his truck rover on mars😅
Köszönöm szépen fantasztik ❤❤❤
Wat are the stripes on pant for? Anyone?
Brad is sooo amazing! I have looked past his good looks and he just seems like a very good genuine sweet troubled guy
I think that being up there is more satisfying than talking with Brad.
Very nice, we proud of you brad
This is awesome!
