I love buttons!!!
I do too! 🙌😊
🔥🔥🔥 You are the man. Ill be show to shout you out in my next video. I got BUTTONS!
haha thanks! I'm glad I was of help!
Lots more macro stuff on the way!
@@asherroland yes 🫡 keep them coming.
Yup, love the idea of LUA scripting
Awesomeness!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Nice tutorial :) clear and efficient.
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Wow, what a great method. You're helping me a lot with this, thank you!
Happy to help! 😊
there's a Tool Tagger script on reactor, it has a Ui for tagging selected nodes with a specific name you give, and then being able to toggle the nodes with a specific tag on/off/toggle between on and off, extremely useful for large 3d comps
Just took a look at it! looks really nice for working in Fusion! This video was talking about doing that same sort of idea, but for when you make a macro for the user to disable and enable different effects! 😊
@@asherroland ohh i see, yeah i didnt follow attentively (its also a bit hard to hear the words) i did notice jakewipp's templates use that technique
The problem is that this macro won't work on edit page wish resolve do something about it....but you explained the concept of buttons pretty well man👏👏
I've never had an issue with it before on the edit page 🤔And Jake Wipp uses it in his templates
Here an example of something I'm working on with this working:
ua-cam.com/video/nzvpXtkUHNs/v-deo.html
Yeah buttons are cool, only unfortunate part is that they won’t update their name of the control they are targeting, so if you copy and paste this same effect in the comp, all the buttons will only affect the original version (makes them good for edit page macros but bad for in fusion ones)
unless you know something I don’t that fixes this 👀
I'm looking for a fix! But right now, yeah we're stuck not being able to do it in the Fusion page. 😞
Hi, awesome tut. Is it possible to disable multiple nodes with one button?
Yeah! You just need to add more lines to set passthrough to true. You can disable as many nodes as you need! You can even group nodes together and disable the group and all the nodes disable :D
@@asherroland Thanks for your hard work on the youtube tutors.
great ! THank you.
I'll just check how to open or close labelcontrol now to be able to control the tool when it's On and not seeing the tools when it's off ! :D If you have a faster answer (line of LUA here) I'd be glad !
Hey! Labels use the same values as other controls to open/close. A value of 0 is closed, 1 is open. So you can do the same method we did for the 'blend' control in the video: "NODENAME.CONTROLID = #"
@@asherroland ahhh of course ! I kinda though about it but then told myself : noooo… it’s too simple ! Haha
Okay I’ll give it a try ! Thank you ! 😍
great, I could do what I want.
So basicly, making the on / off, and some kind of "if" statement to get the good connections at the good place & moment.
I didn't made any label controls on/off for the moment. But I'll dig into that now.
Just wanted to thanks you again for those tut's. (y)
Of course! 😀
@@asherroland but, I worked on it, and I’d love to get the same effect than the motion blur (activating a nest, which don’t get the spacing of labelcontrol.
Can it be done by adding a line « ICD_Height = 0, » ? (Post-correction, ICD_Height doesn't exist. We can find LUA scripting there for mac. %appdata% for windows I guess : /Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Developer/Fusion Fuse/Fusion Fuse Manual.pdf)
I don’t find those kind of informations !
I’ll just test it right now.
Hi....how to create macro transition presets from matte transition videos.
Hi! This is a bit more of a detailed question and I'll answer it in a future video!
But, since you cannot use video in macros, you will have to convert your matte transition videos to image sequences.
segundo ;:D
Thank u I learned so much in this tutorial, but I have one problem.
I want to connect a CameraShake Node with a MultiMerge, with the first Button. And disconnect them with the second Button.
I have 2 Buttons wich both execute a lua CodeBlock (like u showed in the Tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/5HofNzLNjoY/v-deo.htmlsi=gCVuRwACo9WBDRda&t=266). In the CodeBlock I have this code:
MultiMerge:ConnectInput("Background", CameraShake)
But everytime I press the Button instead of connecting the allready existing MultiMerge with the CameraShake, it creates a new MultiMerge1 Node and a new CameraShake1 Node and connects them.
How can I fix this?
you need to specify the numbers the nodes have. all nodes unless changed by you have a 1 at the end, or whatever version of that kind of node it is. so it would be
MultiMerge1:ConnectInput("Background", CameraShake1)
I just wondering how buttons and check boxes work
I didn't really go into it, but check boxes are great for using expressions and getting if it has a value of 1 or 0, 0 being off. This is great when paired with either a custom opacity node or a dissolve node to quickly turn on and off effects. But if you have a lot going on in your macro/effect then it could still be pretty slow on playback vs using a button to just pull it out of the node tree and removes it during playback 😊
