  • Welcome to Tom's DIY Shop...I'm glad you found my channel and hope you find it useful and enjoyable. I started this channel because I'm passionate about DIY and the journey of continuous learning, I love to build things that solve problems and, in most cases, saves me money, and...most importantly...it justifies buying new tools!!
As a career IT professional (nerd), I always look for opportunities to tech something out or, at the very least, overcomplicate it to a certain degree. My DIY skills & experience include wood working, metal working, electrical, plumbing, electronics, network & telecommunications, home automation & home security. It's a pretty broad spectrum and by no means am I an expert in all skills across the table...but that's the beauty of DIY, I get to learn from my experiences / mistakes and make improvements. That's how we learn...that's how we grow!
My UA-cam journey is no different. As I mentioned, my goal is to put out useful and entertaining content for you...my UA-cam audience. I learn something new almost daily around recording, editing, lighting, sound, and publishing and try to make adjustments every time I produce a new video.
If you like what you've seen so far, please "Like", "Subscribe", and "Share" my channel with your friends, family, coworkers, etc. Even if you don't like the channel (which, I can't image why you wouldn't...), go ahead and "Like", "Subscribe", and "Share" it with your contacts and then roast me in the comments about what you don't like about it. I take feedback...both positive and negative, that's how we learn and grow!
Thanks again for stopping by the channel, I really do appreciate it!
    Tom

Hello UA-cam Family! I recently signed up to be an Amazon Affiliate to help support my channel (tool addiction) and have included a list of the tools and camera equipment I use. Please take a moment and click on "Show More" to see the list of links and, if you're considering purchasing any of those items, click on my affiliate links. You pay the exact same price and I "may" get a small commission from Amazon!
Lots of change / activity over the last year and I'll have new videos / content coming out soon. Spoiler Alert - - - - New Shop!

Wow, you are into almost as many things as I am, lol. I was licensed in many trades, certified in some others but my electronics degree is quite old, and I put that part of my life behind me to get my licenses and work for myself more. I'm looking forward to your video journey since I'm on one of my own now that I'm retired/disabled. You're in a much better situation than I am, but we have very similar goals and ambitious plans it seems. I will do what I can to try to catch up, but I have structural issues here to deal with among other things. The one thing that I don't need to be concerned with is a Man Cave. My whole house is my cave, lol. It's just me now here at the Half Mile High Homestead so freedom is a constant. Good luck again.
