    Steve's response was hilarious "I'm already married", haha :)
    That reminded me of a joke. After living together all life one asked: "Should we get married?" and the other one says: "Who would want us anymore?"

    What a gem you found both the gardens and the living history Museum. I love that bumper sticker that says ' slow down your missing all the good stuff '

    SUCH a beautiful couple of days! Loved it! You travel JUST like us. From the overnight parking, to the daytime activities, to the water situation! Except, I really can't see Alex rocking out on the park's xylophone haha!

    Beautiful sunset. Michael has been known to eat Spaghettios cold, and straight from the can. Having flexibility in your travels is so important and alleviates some of the stress. So glad you found other interesting stops to make in the area.

      The sunset was definitely one of the prettiest we've seen! While we love the beach, it was nice to find some other gems. We loved that store and the men volunteering there!

      We're so glad you enjoyed it. Audra loves plants! We've also shared other botanical gardens in the past, one when we visited South Beach in Miami and another when we visited Cape May, NJ and Pennsylvania - Longwood Gardens. That place is amazing! Thanks for subscribing to our channel and taking time to leave a comment!

      We were there many years ago, just for one day, before we had the van. We didn't have the best experience but we'll have to give it another try sometime. Do you have any recommendations for the area? Is it van life friendly!

    • @ljhoats
      @ljhoats 2 роки тому

      That is sad that you didn't have a good day. I know there are a lot of campgrounds and places to go like that and I don't know if our Walmart will allow you to stay there. Pea Island is a very protected area you can feel like you're the only one there with lots of shells and sea glass. I'll have to look into where you're able to stay. I know some of our locals are van lifers. What area where you in?

      @@SteveAudra you can always Park in my business parking lot 🙂

      Our visit there was a bit of a comedy of errors. I've loved shelling since I was little, and my uncle told me how wonderful Cape Hatteras is. So, we stopped there but it was brutally hot and no shade to be found. I had a friend who used to stay at Ocracoke every summer so we decided to try that instead. We took the ferry over, pulled into the campground with the intention to camp but there were mosquitos EVERYWHERE! We decided to catch the next ferry and keep heading south. By the time we finally found a place to stay that night, we were pretty cranky and exhausted! It would probably be a lot different now that we travel in the van! We have many friends who have vacationed in OBX and have loved it! If you're serious about us parking at your business, please send us a message on FB or Insta. We try to keep a list of contacts for the various places we plan to travel! We really appreciate you reaching out!

      Those mosquitoes can be brutal and we have no noseems just like the keys. It is a beautiful place with definite rustic charm and yes I'm definitely serious I don't mind

    Did you know that Spanish Moss is actually a parasite?

    • @SteveAudra
      @SteveAudra  2 роки тому +1

      From all I've read, it's actually not! It's an epiphyte, a plant that grows on another plant without directly gaining nourishment from it. Spanish moss receives all of its nutrients and moisture from the air and is not considered a parasite to the tree, it only uses the tree for support. Whatever it is, it sure is beautiful!!! Thanks for watching, Safety Sue! 🙂
