Seymour Duncan hum cancelling pickups almost all sound weirdly boxy with strange tonal humps to me (the YJMs are a rare exception). The Fast Track T is a fantastic pickup though, I don't have a bad word to say against it. It's twangy and convincing with a 500k pot. With 250k it's still got Tele spank, hotter like a Texas Special, and owing to actually being a humbucker it can handle high gain really well. In fact because it's so articulate I really like the high gain tone you get from it, you keep some twang but it's raucous. Got into this pickup because of Joe Trohman from Fallout Boy and the Damned Things. He used a Tele with a Fast Track T for most of his parts on the Damned Things' first record and it just sounded great.
@@SergeiVlassov I don't really have a preference. They're both good alternatives to keep on my list in case I might want a bright humfree pickup. I'm interested in every good pickup comparison and appreciate the effort people put into these videos.
The Area T Neck is a marvelous pickup. Although it's pretty common to pair noiseless bridge pickups with a traditional single coil neck pickup. E.g Richie Kotzen is well known for his Chopper T and Twang King combo.
For the Seymour Duncan side I favour the Vintage Stack Tele neck pup. It has the power to keep up with the Hot Stack Tele bridge and yet retains the vintage Tele sound. But because it too is a stacked pup, no noise! Great pair up!
Mind ye, Seymour and DiMarzio follow different pup wiring schemes. If ye decide to mix brands, you'll need to flip a few wires on one to have them both in phase with each other.
do you mean pearly gates in the neck and one of this in the bridge? I have something similar. In the neck first I had Tonerider Birmingham (somewhat similar to PG), then Dimarzio EJ Custom, and now TV Jones MagnaTrone, with Dimarzio Fast Track T in the bridge.
@@JerrodSchumacher-fc1wr yes, I know G&L. But then I don't understand the question. You write "wonder what a pearly gates set up with that hot stack tele would sound like" and the you write that you mean Pearl Gates in the bridge. What do you mean, how Pearl Gates can be in the bridge at the same time with hot stack pickup which is also a bridge pickup. Did I misunderstand something?
That DiMarzio has got some Big Bollcks!👍
Thank for the content 🎉
What would you guys recommend between Hot For Tele or Hot Stacks or Vintage Stacks for the neck pickup?
For me both is very similiar..maybe hot stack is a bit twangier or thiner..but dimarzio have that tele twang too...
same impression!

which one you preferred? To me, the difference is minimal

SD is darker than DiMarzio both have exquisite twangy sound
What noiseless neck pickup would pair well with either of these ?

Ooh wonder what a pearly gates set up with that hot stack tele would sound like

@@SergeiVlassov no the pearly gates in the bridge
@SergeiVlassov there's a carved top telecaster designed by Leo Fender Telecaster FMT HH and the G&L asat tribute
G&L and Fender are both Leo Fenders companies until he sold Fender and created G&L in 79
