- It was day 1 of my adventure in Ireland and I met so many cool people and saw sooooo many cool cars! 😃
We started by meeting back up with rally legend Frank Kelly and hearing the latest news about his Millington Powered Mk2 Escort rally car that he likes to call 'Baby Blue'.
We also visited Connor Kelly who has an AWESOME collection of cool cars, poked our head into a garage that specialises in building PROPER rally cars,
aaaaaand I got the chance to get up close and personal to a MINT, genuine Mk1 Escort twin cam, which lives in a showroom!
. . . . . Oh and I got a joyride with my friend Padraig Murphy in his Pinto powered Mk2 Escort rally car!!
Such an EPIC first day in Ireland!! 🍀

Loving the two Mazda 323 rwd cars…..myself and my brother rallied one back in the late 80s , great cars….more than a match for the escorts and minis we were up against in our 1300cc class, still have my class winning trophies 👍🇮🇲

Hi Marcus, unfortunately here in southern Ireland 🇮🇪, our new government that has a coalition of only 3% green party is going overdrive with local councils taking cars out of fields and outside houses, many cars that would becoming near the age of classic cars, I had a mk4 fiesta courier van and a 1.4 peaugot HDI took by the council, they even come into people's private property and tell you that the oil can leak into the ground and cause damage, I took my engines and gearboxes out brake lines coolant and fuel tanks out of my cars and the EPA, still weren't happy, so I built a big shed and the council made me take it down, not every body is a farmers son with lots of land and sheds, The EU have ruined ireland in many ways, that's why people don't care any more, I know people who let their taps run all day, to get rid of the taste of the added chemicals, others who are going to light up bog land, because the EU are stopping us cut turf, and the worst is unvetted non Irish coming here to steel vehicles for export, because our government won't build more prison cells, I could go on, but watching chanells like yours keeps my mind a bit sane, God bless keep safe, thank you Marcus for coming here to Ireland 🇮🇪, your country did a wise move voting in Brexit, and getting away from the EU bully's, in time to come you guys will know it was the right decision.
