Good luck with that. Everyone who was paying attention knows we won in spite of Mike McCarthy, not because of him.

If I were McCarthy, I would push for the Jacksonville job. Why?
    1. Warm weather all year
    2. Already have their franchise quarterback in Trevor Lawrence
    3. Relatively high draft picks this year (picking fifth in every round)
    4. New stadium on the way
    5. No expectations of immediate success
    6. McCarthy can mold this team from the ground up, provided he's allowed to draft and sign the players he wants; a deal which he could probably get if he pushed hard enough.
    7. No championship mystique around the team. No 'America's Team' bullshit to put up with.
    8. Ability to cut underachieving players to free up more cap space ($36 million cap space this year)
    9. No Jerry Jones...which is the biggest selling point.
He can take this team from the bottom, raise it up and make it his own, something he couldn't do in Green Bay or Dallas. This is his opportunity to prove just how good of a coach he is when he's allowed to call the shots. As a Vikings fan, he coached against us for years at Green Bay. While I will always hate the Packers, I always admired and respected McCarthy as a coach. Classy, knowledgeable and no nonsense. Exactly what Jacksonville needs. If this happens, I will be pulling for the Jags every game (unless they play the Vikings or Patriots; then all bets are off).

So a recap of Jerry going “All In”:
-Lose 48-32 to the #7 seed Packers, which leads to Jerry is saying the team is going to go “All In”, and no one has any idea what that means.
-Proceeds to sign nearly no free agents and also proceeds with a lackluster draft.
-Waits all offseason to sign Dak and CeeDee to massive contracts that hamstring the team, but doesn’t re-sign Mike McCarthy’s contract.
-The Cowboys unsurprisingly regress significantly, look mostly terrible and finish at 7-10.
-And then finally, after all that, Jerry fires Mike McCarthy, which he could have and should have done 365 days earlier.
