Thank you for this insight. I think I am finally realizing that I have been resisting what is all my life. I was born prematurely in the middle of the road, then my mother unable to provide a safe place for me left me with with caregivers that physically and verbally abused me. I grew up like a feral animal and because of the horrendous circumstances, I wished to changed them. Therefore I went on to marrying someone that would give me that safety yet not emotional connection or intimacy. I had children, divorced, children now angry for all the suffering I put them through with my anxiety and my bipolar behavior have estranged themselves from me.
I have done lots of inner work and have had many realizations of why things happened the way they did. Today listening to your video I clearly get that yes, I have been living in two worlds and repudiating the physical and wanted to change it... The constant fight within myself to be what I am not and the constant fear of not having enough to take care of my financial needs. I see the dynamic created in my childhood, the promise I made to myself never to be vulnerable again, to have financial success so others could not not hurt me. The awful internal war against myself like a hamster on the wheel.

Yes, all is connected.
Jesus spoke of numerous "bad" things that can happen to a human and told us to be grateful when these things come upon us. For a long, long time I have found this difficult to comprehend, much less accept. This talk of Guy's explains these principles to us. These events come from another world and we cannot be prepared for what happens. Please God help me to accept what I must.

The reason they shock me the way the do is because I live in dream. But when the shock comes it actually helps stir me from my dream and awaken me to reality for a moment.
