This entire episode crosses the line so many times and DB as Father Paul keeps it just this side of realistic with his completely appalled reaction to Nate and company’s shenanigans and then his ultimate acceptance that the Lord works in utterly mysterious (and sometimes appalling) ways and using it against Nate.

Outside UK, Hustle is not well known and I only heard of Hustle after watching Leverage. Leverage is based on It Takes a Thief, A-team, Ocean 11 and a few more shows, but not Hustle. I'm sure Hustle also used the same model and that's why it's similar.
