In one of the poorest years in ESC history, this standed out. It should have won.

@@herrprofessor You,re wronged. Correia and other musicians were jury in the Festival RTP (to choose the portuguese entry for Eurovision92). In 1992 still musicians were not alowed in the juries (in Eurovision -international festival-). Yes, that year Portugal gave 12 deserved points to Malta (same as Spain, Sweden and Luxembourg), but all those juries were composed by normal people or other artists type (never musicians, until 1993, when rules changed and it was alowed for first time). MARY SPITTERI WAS THE REAL WINNER. It has been shown that SHE was by far the most applauded by the public, both in rehearsals and in the concert. MALTA WAS STOLEN THAT YEAR (was incredible that 7 countries didn,t give any point to Mary, specially from the dark BBC-UK, fearing for the maltese victory). Anyway, she got a worthy third place and led the ranking during many moments of that voting. WONDERFUL MARY and wonderful "Little child", ALWAYS IN MY HEART.

I love eurovision and I can't believe I've never heard this before. I love it , although I love the winner that year, this is clearly the best song

Beauty comes in many forms. Here we had the song and also the amazing Mary Spiteri. She was so kind that she sent me a parcel to England with her cd and literature. The performer, the performance and song should have won that night. I was never able to thank her.
One of my Favourites Malta UK and Austria had the best songs in 1992 this song is outstanding and a great singer I hope Malta win Eurovision someday they send some great songs but get overlooked which is a shame my favourite Maltese song is in 1998 the one that I love by Chiara closely followed by angel in 2005
The diva of that year's contest! SHAME on the British jury here for not voting for her!
in 1992 the British did vote for her because they were scared that if they would give her points they would not get a 1st or 2nd place. Anyway, the 1992 British entry was rubbish compared to this, but by that time since Britain was popular and politically desirable by some other European voters they would have won the contest-not because their song was great...so the competition was amongst Malta, UK and Ireland. Malta gave Britain top points and Britain did not give Malta any. Malta also gave Ireland top points and the Irish did give back top points...As a result of this, in 1995 both Ireland and the UK were competing for a 1st place and thanks to the 0 points given to the UK and 12 points given to Ireland by the Maltese voters, Ireland won leaving the UK at 2nd place...a give and take approach! As far as I m concerned the Brits were always proud and felt that Malta had less power but the Maltese fought back and left the British with egg on their face.

Without any doubt, my favorite Maltese entry by far. Although Chiara 's entry in 2005 is really beautiful too.

Not bad, the Composition is acceptable, the Composer had the same mindset as me, still I feel something is missing to make it perfect but I would only give it 6 points. Doesn't mean its a bad Composition or a bad performance, just simple not good enough, no offense Malta!
