This album is definitely under-appreciated, I feel. There's some really neat stuff on here that shows Mastodon is continually moving forward as musicians and artists
Mastodon are my favorite band of all time. They've always had a lockdown on Album closers, but Gigantium after an hour + of sad music is one of the best things I've heard in my life.
such an amazing album. i've been listening to mastodon for close to twenty years now and I think this is still my fav album of their's. it is no skips, it is impossible to pick a fav track, it never gets boring for a second in the 86 minute runtime or whatever. just astonishing every time i hear it.
"Hushed & Grim" is such a great record & this song is killer. Made me listen to the entire album 3x. Mastodon are 1 of those bands you can't put into a box because they think so far outside the fuckin thing. Can't wait to see em w/Ghost & Spiritbox.
PLEASE do Spite. That wall is missing one of the most important names. "Some things you should know" is a fantastic one. "Dedication to Flesh" has a old school vibe and perfect outro.

Yea! I still jam out to this album!!! Saw them play teardrinker and pushing the tides live!!!! They’re one of my favorite bands I’ve ever seen live

This album is masterpiece! I listen to it from start to finish so many times and every time it's better than the last.
Yeah the album is so good has so many styles and riffs but super creative. Brann vocals has given them another level in their sound.

This is metal I fall asleep to. Really good, but it makes me feel like I'm reading books to my kids. Just makes me sleepy. Nice reaction though.
BEHEMOTH - Thy Becoming Eternal
Mastodon is more of a hard rock band at this point. Only their first few albums especially remission was good metal.
