I just got this exact model delivered today. Assembly was pretty basic and of course you have to add the oil. I connected it up to my BBQ propane tank and it started right up. Now I'm ready for my South Florida Hurricane season. I'm very happy with the initial startup and running. I plan on getting at least 2 tanks that are 30lbs or more.

That's a good one for sure. It'll last for yrs if ya take care of it. And these days everyone needs one for home. We have record breaking weather every single year. Everything in a modern day home is ran off electric. Mine is a firman 9400 watt duel fuel. It runs on gasoline and propane. I haven't ran it yet on gasoline and probably won't. I just try to buy a 20 gallon tank of propane every other week. Anyway thanks for sharing and may God bless you and family for every amen b

i was gonna buy one but no plug cover
Today I received mine. It started surging within 3 hours of the break in. Convinced me they are crap.
Did you ever learn why it was surging? Warranty claim? I dead many times that Duromax warranty dept sucks.... nonexistent.
