Seriously this bloke thinks it’s different to what is being said publicly!!! Hang on when was when u think something was a reportable story. Where are the facts. Clearly the Melbourne have clearly contacted him and told him to pull his head in and he doesn’t like it and will continue to be a child and keep pushing a narrative that is just not there and not true. He says Melbourne and Clayton haven’t had it out because he thinks that. This is poor journalism where he thinks something and goes with it with no facts
Am I missing something, Oliver is on a 6 year deal, Cats don’t really have enough to trade for Oliver, Dee’s have said yeah he’ll play for dees next year. Oliver is at the B&F drinking beers with team mates. How is there a story here. This McClure guy is a joke.
They never even met to discuss a trade. As Andrew Mackie said “there was no sell”.
They had Petracca in a Blues jumper, Oliver in a Cats jumper, Viney in a Roos jumper and Cozy in WCE jumper. Guess what they’re all staying. Find some new material you clowns and stop beating a dead horse.
Doesn’t change the fact that Melbourne are a shithouse club and players don’t want to play there.

The meeting between Geelong and Oliver clearly happened. Oliver's manager has nothing to gain, Clayton is already on $10m over next 6 years, and there is no way Oliver could get more. So why did the meeting happen. I suspect Melbourne gave Oliver's Manager the go ahead to look around, due to some recent poor behaviour, and thinking they could cut their losses, but then Melbourne realized Geelong was propably only going to accept maybe 75% of Oliver's salary. At that point they backed off, and fell back to the story of "he has never been up for trade". I don't believe Melbourne!

If Oliver has another stinker in 2025, Dees are going to be paying 1m a year to a player only getting games on reputation.
If if if … what if he’s able to come back, get super fit and win the Dees’ B&F? He’s only 27yo. Could easily turn it around. The guy has won 4AA guernseys and 2 AFL coaches association player of the year awards. I’d say his ‘reputation’ is justified.
