I enjoyed this press conference. I took the regular tour many years ago and was amazed to see some of the lighting fixtures from Casablanca in the prop area and the recording studio where Korngold and Steiner worked. Also, TCM had a mini-museum as a pop up at the Grove in LA some years ago. Cool to see the vintage film memorabilia including Sam's piano from Casablanca and a Maltese Falcon. I still have all the merch from the store they had open. Lol. Preferred the old logos. Will be doing this tour the next time in LA.

The biggest and most historic, iconic collection of Warner Brothers props, costumes, scripts and cars, is not on the Warner studio lot, but is located just a few miles north in Sun Valley... a spawling non-descript high security warehouse, close to the Burbank Airport...
I knew the founder of the Warner Bros. Tour or rather the Burbank Studios Tour (TBS) as it was originally known in the 1970's thr 1990's... Dick Mason was the studios ambassador if you will, having been a long term employee and personal assistant to Jack L. Warner.
Having worked 40 years in HOLLYWOOD myself, and also being a studio historian I know the Warner lot very well... But, describing the animation department as "termite terrace" -well, thats not exactly true, as that title belongs on the original Warner Brothers West Coast home on Sunset Blvd in HOLLYWOOD, where the Looney Tunes originated. It's where Al Jolson's JAZZ SINGER was filmed, it later became the home of LA's first TV station KTLA, the lot is now sdhared with Netflix.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour is certainly the BEST non-theme park version of a studio tour that you can get, as ironically the old-timers used to call their studio the San Quentin of studios, not just for the strict regimented working conditions, but because the studio buildings and stages were often doubling as cell blocks and prison buildings in so many of their classic movies in the 1930's and 40's.
The WB lot has not changed as much as its neighbors, but it has done much more in preserving it's iconic history than any other studio... and it's tour makes money to boot with very little investment!

How much is the full tour? Did they allow video everywhere including the prop department? That panel was amazing !!! Loved it!!!

Pricing can be found here... www.wbstudiotour.com/tour/classics/
In terms of photos and videos, the guides will tell you where photos are allowed. The website states no video. This was a press event, so it was a bit different.

Went on the WB tour years ago and was disappointed more of the history of the studio and the classic films created therein weren't covered. I'm curious to check this new TCM tour out, no doubt!

We have done other tours and really enjoyed the experience. Back in 2021 they opened the tour center building and also expanded Stage 48.

I got the mother of all yours when I was 10 on this lot. I met so many actors who are now icons. My Godmother arranged to have a retiring electrician take to the sound stages while in production.
A few of the peeps that come to mind; Kurt Russel, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and her alter ego, along with Hitler, as he was in that episode. I met all of the Walton's at the Walton House. On the lot. Stefanie Powers, Harold Gould and others that don't come to mind.
Of course, when she moved to Sony Studios, which was MGM then, I got to walk around that working studio and that was even better as I was then 18. Too many stars and TV shows to mention. Ok a few CHIPS , Dallas, Fame, The Village People as they were filming their movie, Etc etc

While not a classic in terms of when it was made, The Goonies is a WB classic. 1985.
