Started growing my pixie out 12.13.23 wow can't believe how long it is tho Andrew Lessman hair skin nails swear by his products take marine Ms collagen family and friends also comment on my hair growth plus the shine health. I now know pixie style isn't for me like longer hair.

Hi Sharalee, my 2 cents is this. Your pixie turns heads because of your particular overall style---the undercut, the lightening in certain areas, along with the spiking! When you present your pixie cut, it’s distinctive and a headturner soliciting a, “your haircut is beautiful! Where did you get it done?” If you are tired of the compliments, (humppph) change the style! I wouldn’t! I have thin, blonde hair and use 4 different products on it along with some backcombing; and after spraying, some lifting. When I’m done, I love it, but it’s work. Just when I think I should start growing it out, I go back to my pixie, because I just feel more “distinctive.”❤

I very much hope you keep the pixie and explore even shorter variations this year. I’m not a fan of the longer variations.
I grew mine out, thinking maybe a short bob. Ended up well past my shoulders for over 3 years. I got so sick of how heavy it was so I cut it all off in January and am just now getting used to short pixie hair again. Keep it short!

I was growing my pixie out until my 4 year old granddaughter told me my hair looked like a bread bowl 😂😂😂. So I went back to an undercut and have more of asymmetrical pixie with a longer bang and this might be my most favorite yet! Super quick to style!
I am growing out a short pixie that I have worn for years. Having regular trims and style tips from my stylist has been the secret! I’m 58 years old. Have worn a super-short pixie since I was 30! This is a huge change for me. Regular trims and style tips!

I’m 50 and have had short pixie hair for 95% of my life. I had platinum highlights and was getting my hair cut every 5 weeks. I simply could not keep up with the cost and the maintenance of the style anymore. I first grew out the highlights which took about 9 months now I’m about 9 months into the actual grow out and it’s the most maddening thing I’ve ever done!! lol 😂 A baseball hat is a must to survive the worst of it! Regular trims, about every 4 months, to help keep the “mullet” in check is a must! Is it the best decision I ever made, no! Lol But I am determined to get it long enough to start doing some updo styles and bust out the curling iron to make some loose waves. 🌊 it’s definitely a painful process!! It’s too long and too short all at the same time!! If you know, you know!! Best of luck with your new style!! ❤️🙏🏻👍🏻

I flip back and forth between pixie and med length. I'll let it grow out during winter and think "oh I like this". Then summer comes and I say "what was I thinking?" 😅 We'll see this time. My hair is thinner now. You'll look good both ways!

I completely understand the want for change. I had my under cut pixie for about 25 years. I finally grew mine out about 2 years ago. I went through a bob phase for a year and now I'm longer. Your pixie cut was so cute and inspired me to get mine cut into a pixie. Had never had one before and I loved it. Wore it like that for about a year and a half. Back in August of 2023 started growing it out. I’m so excited to be able to wear a ponytail and a messy bun soon! My hair still has a ways to go but I’m actually enjoying the journey and haven’t worn a baseball cap 🧢 yet❤

I am growing mine out. It never looks the way I like.. if mine looked as good as yours i would keep it... but mine isn't as thick. I want to know what to tell the stylist so they don't chop it all off again, or make my head look like a mullet or mushroom.

No doubt you always have looked terrific in the pixie. Can be a fun challenge to grow it out, tho! You're so creative and talented, it will be fun for us to watch how u manage it. (I grew mine out after MANY years. Painful, but loving the new fun versatilty!)
I like your pixie you should keep it. My cut was similar to yours but I've been growing it out for 7 months now and it's been a challenge. I quit doing color because I wanted to see how much grey hair I have and I'm really pleased with it now.

Love your pixie. You wear it so well. But if you want to grow longer layers you can always go back. I get bored with my hair as my stylist knows but usually go back to the usual. Nothing like the ability to change. Why not ! Good luck.
It is always a good day when Sharalee has a haircut video. You and Kristin both look beautiful today! I didn’t quite catch what Kristin said to do if it gets too bouffant-y? About 3 weeks into my cut, that is how it feels…starting to veer dangerously close to the “little old lady bouffant”, at least in my mind! I’m still having trouble getting that piece-y texture in my baby fine hair too…that is what makes the cut!
🥰 I think Kristen's fix for that is to use the thinning sheers and do a lot more texturizing. She has said in the past that deeper point cuts through the top and along the sides help give the look of piecey texture on fine hair.

I’ve had a pixie several times over the years… Then I grow it out… I love different styles of hair and mine is a lot like yours Thick Course and Easy to Style … However I am now 51 and I’ve noticed when I let it grow now FOR ME I look pulled down…. So I VOTE PIXIE … however it would be fun to watch you play with different styles 😀
NO!!!! You look fabulous with that Pixie. I let mine grow out and I hated it, did nothing for me but age me more, so I went and got it chopped off yesterday, and I am SO HAPPY! And my husband prefers it really short.
I have had my Pixie for 40 years, I just turned 60 and get complements all the time about my hair, when I grew it out for a year, if weighed my face down and I looked old and tired. This youthful Pixie is me and I will never grow it out again. My hair is identical to yours, dark on the bottom and blond on top., only difference is I have had it for 40 years.

I cut my hair into a supershort pixie from long, and I look like a boy (I always forget that this will be the outcome)! So here comes 2 years of growing it out. You, however, look fab! But, you have to be happy with what YOU have.

I grew out mine just because I wanted to. Love my long hair. It’s wavy and has a bit of curl! Started during Covid.
You are like me, short hair is your style and signature. You look gorgeous with short hair, young, dynamic and classy. But, you can wear them more longer in that short style. Keep that beautiful blond color with darker roots, that suits you well with your eyes. Each time I try to let them grow for few months, I come back to my short style and I am glad. Patience to let them grow is not my specialty.

I get wanting a change. I keep my hair short because it suits my face. I have really thick wavy hair and get bored if I keep a hairstyle too long. I had your cut for about 3 years and recently went to a shorter pixie. My head feels so much lighter.
It is a very long, very frustrating ordeal. Mine is finally chin length & I am loving it! My sister & husband miss my poof though ❤
