If a certain election in Nov goes oneway, society in the west is done. Im leaving the country, but i like the idea of getting off grid asap, ive trying to myself now. Need a group of ppl like minded in UK get a massive block of land and create their own council so we dont have to pay tax to the government wasting it. it is possible ! then we can live off grid as close to as possible
Think that's the right idea. Let's hope all goes OK. It's not the first time people have felt the world will go to pot. There are real preppers out there getting ready for it. I'm not one of them. Just an idea
The only way to live if society collapses is by forming tightly-knit communities made of people who trust each other and have complementary skills. Anyone living alone won't survive the first winter. We are social animals for a reason. Nice set-up though. Looks like what we used to build in the forest when I was a boy-scout. :)
Yep. I'm a 39 year old boy scout. That's about my skill level to be fair. I have never given thought to society collapsing but I thought the idea as a title would strike a conversation. Your comments are very true. I agree 100% .
most people are social animals because they have been programmed by the powers that be to be that way, easier to control. most people could not survive in the wild in the UK for very long, come the first winter they will be dropping like flies. actually there is no wild in England and wales, all land is owned by someone, only wild land in UK is the Highlands in scotland.
@paulshaddick8325 it was just an idea but there are loads of good points here. Obviously I live in a normal house. But if it did all go tits up. I'll be bbqing here
@@3kingsadventures if you do you wont last long, even in a normal British Winter its not survivable, being self sufficient is the only way and that means more than just foraging.
Seek vacated national defense fortifications. Hold what was designed to be defended. On the coast for water transit and food resources. Wales has coastal forests, eh ? Go there by sea kayaks. .
Wales sounds nice. We have loads of military forts in Plymouth. But they were never tested in battle so we don't know if their any good. I think everyone would have the same idea. Gotta be quick to the mark .
I don't understand the negative comments here. Well I guess I do, there's a lot of turds on the internet. I'd love to see all those "experts" try to give this a go. Of course they won't though, they can only run their shitty mouths. I think your camp is cool.
Dude that's a cool comment. There are alot of haters. That stuff makes me want to do it more. It has taken years to slowing put it together. Some backward steps aswell but we won't stop. Much love buddyb
Why would you ? I don't offer any survival advise. I'm just filming me making dens in the woods. I have no qualifications in this. I don't work in the trade. Never been in the military. Just a normal civy having fun.

O I wish. Haha. I had to ask so many people. Offering money and labour for use of the land. I come from a very humble background my friend. I'm a trucker by day. I don't cash in from " mummy and daddy ". I wanted to do this so I went out and earned it. Fairs fair. Thanks for the comment , dispite it being a little presumptuous.
@hedgerowpete I feel it's just a nice alternative to a bunker. Not utterly ridiculous, it's where it all started. Didn't end well but was probably nice while it lasted. I'm sure society will be fine 😉
@Nofixedabode859 I'm inspired by so many other bushcrafters or preppers. All across Europe and the world. Everyone has a slightly different style. But the main thing is everyone is having fun and reducing there carbon footprint. Moving back to nature. Being healthy and loving life. It's not for everyone.
Good luck out there 👍
Thank you. Work in progress.

better to be alone than with people we cant trust, and given the state of society today that is everyone.

If society collapsed, who would go hungry, the man with the stored goods or the man with the gun😂
Hard pressed to find a gun in this country. Lol good point. Who's to say we can't have both.

both, even the most experienced hunter can have off days.

good for a weekend camp, very similar to the camps we used to make as kids, but as a survival tool post societal collapse not so.

Using cold iron, fire, & enslaving.
Chained to an oar you get travel.
