I say get the needles and experiment with making some musselburgh hats that are fingering+mohair or fingering+suri if you’re stubborn like me and can’t commit to buying more DK weight yarn when you’ve committed to fingering for years and somehow it feels wrong to look at different weights of yarn now.
I worried about buying a 16” circular Chiao goo needle for a hat and once I got one, I now have them in all the hat sizes I use……they are worth the money and you will have them for the rest of your life……buy it, you’ll love it!!!
OMG that green yarn in the yarn box is ust amazing. normally i'm a total magpie for speckles but i've honestly never seen such a vibrant green tonal before!!
It was lovely seeing you at hot springs fiber co! i hope the bagel was good, hope to see you again soon! have safe travels and give toaster lots of pets!! 🫶🫶🫶
What a great interview with a fellow Aussie.Very interesting and entertaining.👌♥️ Thanks both Irina and Shelley.Been fascinating watching different vlogs about the Vogue knitting event from my cozy and creative space in Melbourne. Go well.👋🐨🌏xx
Okay, now I need to go back to the Quarter Stitch. 😂 I’m so glad you both had a great time, and I certainly will always fondly remember our shenanigans! (That lunar halo was amazing, too.)
I grew up in the New Orleans area. I miss the food always, and the city so much right around this time of year! Thanks for showing us all the great spots! ❤ ⚜️⚜️⚜️
I love this video. The scenes of New Orleans brings me back to my younger days with business trips there, then having my husband join me and having fun. We went at least 5 times. Love the energy, food, gardens, etc. All the socks and things you are working on our beautiful. sending love, hugs, prayers.
I love the strong heel! I wanted to knit socks with self striping yarn and a strong heel but wasn't sure how it'll look, so I'm really excited to see how your pair turns out!
Could you use the dk-scraps to design dk-weight yarn cozies? I'd love to have another way to use up dk-scraps. the yarn cozy light is perfect for any amount of fingering weight scraps.
Natalie! Just buy the knitting needle! Seriously. Making a project miserable on purpose is not a way to get it done, and love the project afterward. The needle won’t take up enough space to justify knitting without it. Just do it!!!!😊😊😊
I have noticed that your hexie blanket is already quite large. I know your goal is to travel through every U.S. state, getting at least one yarn per state for the blanket. So far, it’s been more than that. Do you have plans for another blanket if the current one gets too big? It seems like if you keep going at the current rate that blanket will be a monster.
Here is another point of consideration... before you send it home.. Consider where you are going. Especially if you are going north or west. You may be entering into cold and wet weather and it would be hard to wear outerwear if it is wet. Safe travels...
If you block the cowl in a way where the jogs stay at the bottom edge, they will be invisible and still can switch your cowl from side to side. If you are wearing only one side outside colours probably will fade unevenly in the time. It's a very cute cowl, but it kinda bothers me that the doodles lie vertical instead of columns. If the charts was rotated to stay in horizontal columns it would make more sense to me.
Hi, don’t you have the Forte set? It has the 3 needle and i think it is 4” tips to make a 16” needle. Hope this helps. Thanks for another wonderful podcast.😊
@@KnittyNatty thanks for letting me know they are 5" tips. I was at my LYS and was looking at them and someone said something about 16" cords so assumed they meant they would make 16" needles ( so 4" tips) Silly me.
I bought these Rheinberg doodles. Big mistake I’m sorry. A card with a chart without telling me what it’s suppose to be is useless. I bought them😊 e en though shipping cost almost as much as the cards. Also the pattern is 24 stitches. How can that work on a 64 stitch socks pattern with 24 repeat chart? Anyone have advice.
I don’t know why but I though you were going to seam the cowl the other way so that the motifs would be facing upwards, but I guess this way they’re all visible 😅
babes....you make like 50 musselburgh hats a year...get the needles!. xx
Hahahaa
@@KnittyNatty Plus you'll gonna be at so many places, somewhere probably have teaching groups where can donate them?!
You know, Pink has never been a color for me, but since watching your podcasts , it’s growing on me. Your projects are so vibrant and pretty 💖🧶💫
I have to agree with you!❤
Buy the 16” needles, life is too short🤣🤣. Wouldn’t it be nice to have some fingerless mitts to match your new doodle cowl? Safe travels to you three.
Hahaha I love this advice!! Mitts could be nice! I don’t find myself wearing them though
7:00 I was waiting for you to say you'd decided to make a coordinating mussleburgh hat, since that pattern has DK weight instructions. :)
I say get the needles and experiment with making some musselburgh hats that are fingering+mohair or fingering+suri if you’re stubborn like me and can’t commit to buying more DK weight yarn when you’ve committed to fingering for years and somehow it feels wrong to look at different weights of yarn now.
You've made so many musslebrough hats! I really think you will use that needle at least a few more times!
Buy the needle! I found if you have it you will use it! Takes up the tiniest space and you will have the tool appropriate to use.
I worried about buying a 16” circular Chiao goo needle for a hat and once I got one, I now have them in all the hat sizes I use……they are worth the money and you will have them for the rest of your life……buy it, you’ll love it!!!
You are so right 😅
This was my 1st time watching a podcast. It was very nicely done. Get the needles. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Hey hey, those streetcars look like Toronto Canada shipped them to them. Identical to ours.
OMG that green yarn in the yarn box is ust amazing. normally i'm a total magpie for speckles but i've honestly never seen such a vibrant green tonal before!!
It’s that bright in person too! Just stunning!
I have 16s in nearly every size so I can make any hat any time. Got a lot of them 2nd hand.
Oh! Hot Springs National Park... The only NP with a brewery. Enjoy🍺🍻
I downloaded the Fish Lips Kiss heel and YES, overwhelmed so I haven’t tried it yet 😮 It’s quite the pattern!!
It was lovely seeing you at hot springs fiber co! i hope the bagel was good, hope to see you again soon! have safe travels and give toaster lots of pets!! 🫶🫶🫶
Your podcast was a wonderful companion tonight as I'm finishing my crochet baby blanket using one of my advents. Inspired by both of yours!
So, so, so excited for the wardrobe planning video coming up!!!! 😆

This makes me want to finish my doodle cowl

You didn’t go??! It’s such a cute shop. Haha we had a great time with you too!
Love the travel vlog segment! It is so fun seeing all the different places!😊
Buy the darn needle Natalie lol I feel like you’ll use it and I love DPNs but they get a little fidgety

The food is sooo good!
I can’t wait to see your tour of the Modern Skein 😱😍
It was so nice getting to hang out with you!! I’m glad y’all had a great time in Louisiana even with the crazy weather!
Aww so good to see you too! Thank again for my project bag. I’m using it every day!
Montgomery is to the north of houston. I will see you tomorrow at Hot Springs fiber company!
Your new project bag is amazing! Love the books on it.
Hi Natalie great video love your cowel and Kent s socks happy happy travelling and knitting and crocheting Kaye x😊

I love the new opening. It is amazing! Great job you guys!
WIZARD OF OZ IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!! I want someone to do an advent inspired by it Wil yarn, stitch markers, bag(s) etc. It's my dream
I love the strong heel! I wanted to knit socks with self striping yarn and a strong heel but wasn't sure how it'll look, so I'm really excited to see how your pair turns out!
Next week I’ll be able to show how it looks with the contrast heel turn! I like it so far!
If you have time when you are in Hot Springs, you should go to the horse races at Oaklawn Park.
ur engagement ring is incredible. from that close up of kent’s socks 😅
Thank you!

There’s going to be one more book i’m the ACOTAR series! SJM is writing it right now 🥰
Omgggg yay!!!
#Question Why not hold on to the DK yarn, turning it into DK yarn cozy's and making it a pattern?
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Natalie! Just buy the knitting needle! Seriously. Making a project miserable on purpose is not a way to get it done, and love the project afterward. The needle won’t take up enough space to justify knitting without it. Just do it!!!!😊😊😊
When will the The Greatest Yarney Sock along be starting? Thanks!
Will you be going to YarnCon in Chicago in April?
Wear the fun cowl!!!!
No one is going to see it only you will know. Great cowl.
Does your friend Olivia sell her bags? I love the one with the books!

It’s going to be so big 😅 No plans for a second blanket yet, but we’ll see if that changes!

Make scrappy dk socks!!!!
That Bourbon yarn color is beautiful!
Looks like y'all had fun in New Orleans! ♠

I do, but mine has 5” needles! I did end up using them to magic loop the body of the hat!

Someone else suggested that too! I think that would be super cool!
🤩
How do you read and knit at the same time? I love to read, but i always have to choose.
Practice! I pick a simple project that I don’t have to look at and then prop my Kindle or book!
