1:07 - I don’t know what has changed; but, the “background” music is distracting in this video.

What's the point in checking the connected pins of MOSFETs one by one for three minutes

@@electronicsrepairbasics_erb Please, put into practice these negative comments from your viewers kindly, do not assume these comments because they are meant to grow your channel. Making a negative comment in a polite manner does not mean your work is disrespected sir. We are just here to grow each other positively. You've been doing a wonderful job from the beginning and we appreciate that wholeheartedly.. I have noted in most of your responses, when you're challenged about your lengthy and repetitive videos, you normally say it is for the sake of beginners, but that should not be the response kindly coz I believe we are all beginners.. Those who are new to this channel and feel they have little or no knowledge about laptop repair should just follow from the old videos just as we did.. No need of lengthy and repetitive videos kindly sir.

What if the IC is not sending the signal to the gate?

Hi, the charge ic must command the MOSFETs on, or they are on by default thanks

Yes the charge ic must command the MOSFETs

I asked basically the same question. Are they all on by default, but I would guess that would be by design. I guess the best next thing would be to inject the signal to the gate see if the MOSFET switches on.

@@aewcontrol2984 i don't think that's the case, because how else could 3.3 v be present to power on the laptop, i think its always on and if something happens the controller turns it off to protect the laptop..

@@geoepi321975 I do not know enough to make that judgement. I do understand that MOSFETs are commonly used as voltage regulator, switches, etc. SO in this case do you think they act as a circuit breaker that it's always on and shuts off under certain conditions?

@@aewcontrol2984 yes there's no other way, because that's the main power rail, and the super io controller check all the rails for proper operation, and if it detects a short to ground or an abnormal rise in current somewhere, it cuts down the power to prevent damage on the board through the gate PIN of the first MOSFET, the second MOSFET i believe is to maintain the voltage stable, that's my theory , i don't know if I am right..
