Seeing things like these always makes me sad that Tag 2 underperformed in terms of sales... The game had so much going for it in terms of Contet offerings and you could tell the devs had fun making the game. I just hope now that since Tekken 7 has really overperformed, that they still feel like they can bring back that creativity for Tekken 8
That carving existing since Tekken 2 is insane, I cant imagine how much patience they had to make it a huge deal, even Smash Bros has it there because of their dedication and important it is after Tekken 7.

It's really not, They just finally decided to make Kazumi an actual character. She was just his dead wife, nothing more. That plotline was something they made during 7. It's why Kazuya never brings it up at all prior to T7 & Kazuy's "Devil" was still an external spirit he made a deal with, not a hereditary curse. Futher being proven by the same spirit marking Jin in the T3 Intro.

Wang's manuals mentioned Jinpachi and how he tasked Wang to kill Kazuya and Heihachi cuz they would do evil sh!t. Kazumi's name was on the stage floor. Heihachi protected Kazuya from devil in latter's ending, indicating how he hates the devil and not Kazuya. All the things that we see in T7 were hinted back then. They deviated from their original storyline around T3-T4.
I was an article writer and editor in Tekkenpedia years ago and I wrote most of the Easter Eggs in Tekken Tag 2 that were missed by the other writers. Tekkenpedia got shut down for a while during 2018. When the website was brought back, I found out I got banned. I don't know if it had something to do with the frequent editing with the articles or the posting on the Discussion section. Some of my article edits were gone and my Discussion posts disappeared as well. By the way, you missed the prairie dogs caressing each other with hearts appearing above them in the upper tier of Condor Canyon. When you perform a heavy near them, the prairie dogs who weren't in love would jump feeling startled while the ones who are caressing will remain unfazed.
I remember that site as the perfect place to find all the news and leaks. Looks like everybody is banned and no new editions have been made since 2017. What could have happened?

My favourite TTT2 easter egg is in Heavenly Garden, if you wait long enough you will see one of the islands in the distance emerge revealing that it is in fact a giant turtle. It just adds to the surrealism of the stage

They probably want it Mang Inasal in the game but the company file a CnD or a copyright infringement to not include the restaurant. so they don't wanna advertise the brand's name in the game without any consent. So they change the name to "Delicious" but kept the name inasal to referencing the restaurant's name.
I really love TTT2. The stages are great and the music background as well. It's real a perfect version for me, so sad that it failed in terms of sales, deserves better.

It's rare to find this in newer games where it seems like dev teams are stretched to their limit and it's seen as a waste of time.
TTT2 was so absolutely full of detail, it stands way above T7 on everything. Competitively T7 has brought much more exposure to the Tekken brand but TTT2 was the last Tekken to be truly made with love imo
