Hello Alex, I watched an Australian Opel mining video. The miners didn't have a permit to use explosives so they drilled many holes in the rock and poured in an expanding liquid that broke the rock! I wish I could remember better. Good luck!

As a woman getting up in years and physically impaired, to get rid of big rocks in the ground, I used to make a fire that left plenty of good hot coals, then pour water on them. The rocks cracked apart quite satisfyingly. Sometimes they needed a couple or more tries if they were particularly huge. These were granite rocks and not soft types at all. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺🦘👋

There is a product called DEXPAN that will easily crack all your big rocks down to manageable pieces. You drill into the rock, mix up the DEXPAN which is the consistency of self leveling concrete, quite thin, pour it into the hole and wait. It could take 16 to 24 hours, what it does is expand 8,000 times and cracks the rock, it’s amazing and really works! It comes in a box with 3 bags in it so it’s useful several times.

Hi Alex loved this video, the new tool makes light work of those stones. Good base as well for your verandah. Food is very reasonable in Portugal, for the meal you had here I would pay about 2/300 Dh's. Its expensive here, looking forward to traveling home where I get Fish,Chips for about £6. The extras I still have to pay for. Your plans are slowly coming together,Angelina is keeping a close eye on you, I think she's glad of you and your dad's company. No more Ms Lonely. I love how the big boulders look in that area of Portugal. Where I live in the US, people pay big money to buy rocks for landscaping since our homes have none. Unfortunately, in your area sometimes the rocks are not in the best locations. That looks like hard work.
Hopefully, the architect can look at your house soon since it take time to rebuild.

It looks like sedimentary rock that you're dealing with and easy to break up but it's easy to see why they built the houses there it's elevated and everything is built on a firm footing. If it were me I and I know that it's a lot of hard work I would dig out deeper at the rear of the property to create more headroom in the lean to. Digging out more at the back also gives your more fill for the front terrace. That Cafeteria looked amazing and great value, was that 8 euros per person or 8 euros both of you?

The veranda will be good to get the rain water away from the back of the house. If you can do roof extensions of 2-3 feet off the other walls as well that will help keep the rocks and pointing dryer as well. The Big Boy will come in handy over time. Good Job both of you. Was the 8 euro for each of you or for both?

The dish look like rajma-chawal ( means cooked rice with rajma a kind of beans ). And than you eat icecream like milky substence which you called desert or sweets. And wine.
Wine may be costly in india but other stuff cast will be just 50 rupee for rajma chawal 20 or 40 ruppe for desert and for wine or water. If water than its free but for wine or bear it may cast 150 Rs. Or depend upon brand and quality rates may differ.

Nice work Alex, I am wondering as it is now summer is it time for Angela to be sheared, to have her hair cut ?
I imagine wandering around in a sheepskin coat in the heat must hard for her, and if she is sheared now, she will have grown a fresh coat by the time winter comes.
