To anyone who is skeptical of my durability test, I made a short comparing the Fabulous Beast X and the Original Beast X here: ua-cam.com/users/shortsuL03olJ0Lf0 I find it a bit strange that people think this video makes me look untrustworthy because I changed my opinion. I think it would have been much more untrustworthy to make a video like this, explaining all the problems I encountered and then stating that my opinion had not changed, and I thought that WLmouse was still better than Finalmouse. To elaborate further on my opinion, I personally believe WLmouse has distinct quality control issues. However, I still like my original Beast X, I still continue to use it to this day, and if they were to improve their QA process, I would be more than happy to buy another mouse and use it. I have a video in the works about QA and how important it is to me, but in short, it is very important to me. If one person and another person get two different versions of a mouse, that is unacceptable and definitely should be something to criticize. Inconsistency in a product shouldn't be something that you just ignore. With that in mind, if someone decides to buy a WLmouse after this video, then that's great. Buy whatever you want. Competition is important and no mouse is perfect. My reviews are just designed to inform people who are interested in any given product. You can do what you will with that information. With that being said, I appreciate every view and comment left on the video, I appreciate everyone watching. I don't wish ill will on WLmouse, but I do hope they improve their QA process. QC still happens in the fabric in china either way. but yea the way how it "broke" at 5:45 really is disappointing to see. in your position i would have tried to contact them and ask for a replacement. if they declined it, then you could have said it in this video and that would make them look silly without making you a "hater". i also got the fab beast x and for me the build quality and the clicks are perfectly fine. and i never had such a nice scroll wheel. it's very quiet, light and feels soft. can't say anything about battery and long time usage, tho. since i only used this for like 3 days.
If that’s your view then I can’t really change it. It’s unfortunate that you see criticism and genuine disappointment as being a “hater” or “untrustworthy.” In that regard, I have no reason to lie about anything in the video. I paid for everything in the video with my own money. None of these companies know my video exists, so the stuff in my video is purely a representation of the product. Chinese products are objectively built with lower standards. That’s why everything is built there, because it’s cheaper to make. I don’t care about getting a replacement since I only bought this mouse for a video. I’m happy with my main mouse (which is actually a Logitech G303) and had no interest in switching to either the Beast X original, the new Beast X, or the Finalmouse ULX. I changed my opinion due to new information. My battery life point was wrong in the original video, and the quality control of WLmouse is definitely something I think ruins the brand. Which it’s totally fine if you don’t agree. Buy what you want, vote with your dollar! I just reject the idea that you’re portraying the video as more disingenuous than it is. I’m not really worried about other people seeing it this way, since I believe the video speaks for itself. Don’t you think it would have been significantly more suspect if I had uploaded this video and the conclusion would be “I still think WLouse is better.” Even though the mouse has obvious QC problems throughout the entire mouse?
That grinding on your left click happened to my Starlight 12s. There's a catch for the plunger that is sticking to the inside of the plunger in some way, at least if the design is the same as the Finalmouse.
I bought the previous one and the mouse always feels inconsistent sensor wise, and my right click stops working randomly. Also when I first bought it didn't work for the first 24 hours.
Got a later batch Beast X with omron opticals (I believe?) and the RMB squeaks very horribly on occasion, trying to get a replacement at the moment but its unusable in FPS where you need to be using RMB a lot.
Since the announcement of the Max SKU amost convinced myself it would be my next mouse. Kinda got a bit obsessed with it but I think I've been viewing it through rose-tinted glasses assuming that it would by the perfect mouse for me. Obviously, long-term reviews are yet to come but I don't think a Beast X of any variant will be my next mouse based on the same things you mention. Battery life is my main concern as I've become so used to going at least a couple of weeks between charging my GPX. As much as I want to upgrade this mouse, I'm in no rush something that ticks all my boxes comes along (good battery,
The unit he had is very bad tbh. Mine has none of his issues, except that I can feel that the bar that he broke is bending when pushing it. It's definitely the weakest part of the mouse, but no one would ever push in this specific spot hard enough to break it. The clicks do make a specific sounds, but I don't notice it when playing. Battery life is definitely less than GPX, however it's one pair with other Chinese mouses.
performance is on par with finalmouse, and the battery has only gotten better over the past few months. originally they had their software created by some other company that they had contracted but the software came out terrible. now they've redone it and the battery performs much better as long as you get any of the newer beast x models (not the OG). also keep in mind the x and max have slightly larger battery capacities (I believe 300mah while the mini is 225mah)
can you check if your mouse scroll moves left and right side when you push it? like it wobbles a little but not to the point that it makes wobbling sound when you shake it.
The mousepad I use is a Wallhack SP004, but the pink backdrop in the video is just a sheet of vinyl I use for getting some color into my b roll. Sorry to disappoint!
I have just bought the fabulous beast X, to replace my logitech G502 hero, i wanted a light weight and fingertip mouse for competitive games, and thought this fabulous beast x was the best option because from my point of view it should be a beast x upgrade, but after this video im not sure about that. Could u recommend me a light weight and fingertip mouse for competitive please? Thanks for the video
Maybe in the future, but for right now I have two other types of videos in the works, and then a video on the Vaxee XE S. I’m short, no plans on it anytime soon.
I had the Beast X Mini. The QC on the mouse is bad. Side buttons got loose after a week. The battery for me is not the worst but also not as long as other mouses I had from Lamzu, Logitech, Pulsar or Razer.
I heavily considered getting another beast X so I could have 3 copies to test from, but it’s just not worth it. I’ll be talking about another mouse here in a video or two that had bad QC issues where they’ve seemed to fix them. QC is hard because honestly, the higher the sample size, the more accurate your statement on it is. But for me, someone who is funding this YT channel out of pocket with now external help, it’s not financially viable to buy another beast X and do ANOTHER video on them when I could just wait to buy the newest mouse that comes out in another month or so and just move on, which is what I prefer to do anyway.
I can undertsand if you compare the WLmouse X and fabulous quality. Maybe its a unit problem, maybe its the whole mouse... did you try to contact their support to check if you can get another unit to check those quality issues?

New mouse releases always get views. You keep making it seem like I'm view hungry but I promise you I just put out a video and let come what may. If anything, I have more of a history of hating Finalmouse than I do any other company on the planet. Some of my first videos on this channel was shitting on Finalmouse. I have totally different problem with clicks its way lighter on right side making me force not to lay my fingers on right side at all . I have no quality issues with aloy i squeezed it very hard many times nothing happend and dont wanna brag cuz its stupid but im someone who actually broke a mouse by squeezing before soo its fine for now . i own this mouse and mine has got 0 qc issues, best feeling mouse ive held, the heavier clicks really dont make that much of a difference at all in fact i didnt even notice it was heavier until this video and i compared it to my ulx and there was barely a difference. also no shit if youre gonna squeeze the back of the mouse like that its gonna break are you stupid? do that on any mouse with holes like that in it, and considering you dont hold that part of the mouse why does it even matter? also the fact you even called the ulx better is insane, for me its the worst mouse ive held in my life, coating is so slippery if ur hands sweat at all you cant hold it, feels like its gonna break if i hold it even a fraction as hard as the new beastx, scroll wheel is horrendous and by far one of the worst ive felt. considering the amount of horrible qc issues on the finalmouse and for the price i dont understand how you can say its better

Therefore, I think it’s a decent indicator that the build quality might be slightly off if a mouse fails. I can count the number of mice that have failed on one hand, so it’s not like it’s impossible.
I would say you could just go ahead and get one, hopefully you’ll get a better copy. Just keep in mind you might be playing a bit of a lottery as to whether you’ll get a good one. Hope you find a mouse!

@@bloodst0rm1337no, no noticeable delay in terms of performance. Some people mentioned issues with the 8khz polling rate setting, but I never used it. I tested the mouse mostly at 1khz and a little at 4khz, and it felt okay.
@@bloodst0rm1337 i wouldn't take this review too seriously. creator bashes "chinese products" when in reality all of these mice (including your beloved finalmouse) are coming off the same 3 factory lines in china. also, as long as you dont death grip your mouse in the parts where the mouse is literally the most structurally weak, it's not just gonna fall apart. im around 145lbs and grip the mouse really hard because my wrists stiffen up when I aim, and have the fabulous beast x (which some people have said that the structural quality has gone down in recent batches), and have not noticed any problem with this. from what I can see the video creator got a bad copy and didn't bother to reach out to them about it. the lottery is probably equal to finalmouse's QC and any other superlight gaming mouse.
I will say the Final Mouse batteries are bonkers. I guess there is a reason they don't release their battery tech. Sorcery to be honest. Also i agree. If there is click QC issues. Companies should refund. A lot of companies dont. As someone who has over 70 mice. My experiences include. Corsair, Logitech, Zowie, and Vaxee. Vaxee actually told me, it doesnt effect gameplay so it isnt an issue. 😂 Companies that have taken it back without question. Pulsar, Lamzu, and Final Mouse.

I mean its basic physics.. you applied arguably more force than all your other pinch tests, on a substantially smaller area a SINGULAR 1cm bar of magnesium, therefore it would apply FARR more pressure than any other squeeze test you've ever done, why wouldnt it break?

@sm_leshyy just saw your beastx pinch test, funnily enough your thumb was pressed along the entirety of the side of the mouse shell, and to add to that, there were mouse grips placed over it, completely different scenarios, in this pinch test, there were no side grips, your thumb was only pressing on a SINGULAR bar of magnesium, so please think before responding.

@@bloodst0rm1337no, no noticeable delay in terms of performance. Some people mentioned issues with the 8khz polling rate setting, but I never used it. I tested the mouse mostly at 1khz and a little at 4khz, and it felt okay.
@@bloodst0rm1337 i wouldn't take this review too seriously. creator bashes "chinese products" when in reality all of these mice (including your beloved finalmouse) are coming off the same 3 factory lines in china. also, as long as you dont death grip your mouse in the parts where the mouse is literally the most structurally weak, it's not just gonna fall apart.
im around 145lbs and grip the mouse really hard because my wrists stiffen up when I aim, and have the fabulous beast x (which some people have said that the structural quality has gone down in recent batches), and have not noticed any problem with this.
from what I can see the video creator got a bad copy and didn't bother to reach out to them about it. the lottery is probably equal to finalmouse's QC and any other superlight gaming mouse.

I will say the Final Mouse batteries are bonkers. I guess there is a reason they don't release their battery tech. Sorcery to be honest.
Also i agree. If there is click QC issues. Companies should refund. A lot of companies dont. As someone who has over 70 mice.
My experiences include. Corsair, Logitech, Zowie, and Vaxee. Vaxee actually told me, it doesnt effect gameplay so it isnt an issue. 😂
Companies that have taken it back without question. Pulsar, Lamzu, and Final Mouse.
funny how everyone clowns on finalmouse but it seems they have unironically good customer service, at least from what i've experienced.

I mean its basic physics.. you applied arguably more force than all your other pinch tests, on a substantially smaller area a SINGULAR 1cm bar of magnesium, therefore it would apply FARR more pressure than any other squeeze test you've ever done, why wouldnt it break?

The only explanation you could possibly have is that the build quality is worse. Which was the entire point of the test. I’m glad I could walk you through that. If you need help with your math homework too, I’m sure I could help you out.
@sm_leshyy just saw your beastx pinch test, funnily enough your thumb was pressed along the entirety of the side of the mouse shell, and to add to that, there were mouse grips placed over it, completely different scenarios, in this pinch test, there were no side grips, your thumb was only pressing on a SINGULAR bar of magnesium, so please think before responding.
