Good Job JB The thing that nobody wants to talk about is the "get rich quick" scheme of flipping houses and assuming that it will continue forever and keep going up every time you flip this is a problem that predates the stats in the graphs, it first started gathering steam in the late 90's with a few in the market, to now being every home owner. Town houses in my neighborhood are going for more than a Million. it's insane, and it won't stop till it pops. It's a Pringles Market lol
Thanks for checking it out man. Your videos are part of what inspired me to take a step on this path. I have a lot to say about how CBC covers things, and especially the obvious areas they refuse to look at. You’re right this has been going on for a good long while. I sure do find it funny that the Parliamentary Budget Officer can pinpoint population increase as a big driver, and it’s met with radio silence from the media specifically because of the implication I drew here. And that’s without even touching on the issue of money laundering through property, which seems even more difficult to reach people about. “Pringles market: won’t stop till it pops” - You’ve got to use that, hahaha.
Pretty slick production there JB. We have much the same issues regarding housing. Slightly less of a immigrant issue or at least it isn't as much of a driver of house prices as it is in Canada here in Australia. We expected a housing price crash prior to the issues of the past couple of years driven largely by the overpriced Melbourne market Well the Hong Kong crisis was in the news and the investment driven from there actually rebounded the Melbourne market. Now in 2020 we basically shut our borders, even states were not allowing travel yet we still have a record 200k immigrants that year and with issues such as some states demanding builders and their contractors having to be vaccinated will drive house availability down and prices up.
My first prediction here- Canada will soon need to use search light to find immigrants and second, Canada will loose many existing skilled immigrants to United States. Thank you.
Good Job JB
