I truly don’t get why anyone feels they absolutely have to tweet anything. The world doesn’t sit on the edge of its seat waiting for a celebs tweet to arrive.
When it comes to political matters, people often tweet because they want to participate in the public dialogue, get their points of view across about things that they consider important, and try to persuade other people to agree that those things are important, and perhaps to join them in working towards making things - as they see it - better.
I mean, all sorts of people, of all sorts of backgrounds and in all sorts of careers, and of all sorts of political persuasions do this. Why should celebrities be any different?

There are arguments for privacy for relatives of perpetrators that are valid but what (exactly) are you asking for? Currently press freedom trumps personal privacy - it’s the lesser of two evils.
I will add … I learned the perpetrator wasn’t brought up by a neglectful parent. That’s already better than the narrative that would disseminate in a vacuum.

This year, the rapper Wiley was stripped of his MBE for making apparently anti-semetic remarks back in 2020. He denied he’s anti-semetic and stood by his OG comments. So given Riley, during the 2019 election, wrongly accused Corbyn of being a racist, and taking into account her proceeding and recent highly charged inflammatory racist comments, it wouldn’t be unusual if she lost her MBE if we lived in a fair and just society

I have seen this same information shared again and again about the Sydney attack. I challenge it each time and I am rarely acknowledged, nor is the information taken down or amended. It is more important it seems to blame Muslims and, by association, Palestine and it's supporters than it is to get things right.
