Oh, on the slime hutch: You're supposed to water the troughs on the right side, they'll produce slimeballs which give you slime and occasionally petrified slime. You can put fences inside, they won't ever decay and can block the slimes from hurting you. There's a chance that slimeballs will spawn in the enclosure, but you can place flooring inside the slime pen to eliminate the possibility c: Other than that, all you have to do is make sure you can reach the water troughs(if you don't have an iridium sprinker on them) and an incubator, and your interaction with the slimes can be minimal. It used to be a lot worse, but now that sprinklers can water the troughs you can literally ignore it for several days, swoop up all the slimeballs, and use the slime egg press to turn them into eggs to sell. Still not really profitable, but can be fun to see what kinds of colors turn up(and you can actually breed them for rare colors, it's just time-consuming). Sorry, ramble, I just really like the slime hutch for some reason >-

I accidentally blew up my trash recycler and seed maker after waking up from passing out in the mines with a cherry bomb in my hands. It was still before 7 a.m. so I was luckily able to just restart the day without any real consequences, so Charlie losing their equipment at the end of a productive day made me even more grateful 😭
This series is so lovely! I've had stardew for about 4 years now, and this past year I haven't played at all. I found out so much new stuff from this series that I couldn't wait to play again!

@@mgntflwr I don't think you can but what I do is I build the majority of my fences out of the tea bushes then place a normal fence, gate, then another normal fence.
Food that gives fishing buffs really make a difference. Those scorpion carp are almost impossible without a lure that grants a buff along with the "Master" rod enchant and some food bonuses.
I wouldn't say impossible, I've managed with level 10 fishing and a curiosity lure. Though it takes a bit of time to reel in. (Not the best if on a server with friends) but it is doable.

My whole thing on the fruit v. veggie debate is that “vegetable” is a cooking exclusive term and that “fruit” has two definitions depending on if you’re lookin at it from a plant anatomy perspective or a cooking perspective, like what we consider a “vegetable” could be from any part of a plant, as long as it’s used in savory cooking, “fruits” from a culinary perspective are also fruits scientifically, and used in sweet dishes. So like some veggies are “scientifically fruits” but no “culinary fruits” are veggies

Depending on your situation, jars can make more money. If you have enough fruit, jars make 3x the amount of the fruit that takes 3 days and while kegs make 7× takes a week. So, if you do preserves it would take 9 days but you would get that 2x more from 2 days.
FYI buying several mini frigs will allow you to put all the ingredients you need to cook everything as they are all connected. Btw I absolutely love your talk through
For the fruit and veggies complaint, that is because fruits are a scientific term while veggies are a culinary term. Meaning they overlap, a fruit isn't different than a veggies. Infact, potatoes are roots, carrots are roots, broccoli are leaves. All veggies are just parts of plants so if you can get enough people to call something a veggie like in a kitchen you might run, then that random flower you put in your chicken is a veggie.

Did you know you can place a staircase in the pants section of your character to get a second trimmed purple lucky shorts? Then you can give the shorts to Lewis and have your own as well! This is also infinitely repeatable too, so you can have as many lucky purple shorts as you want! :D (Would recommend getting the second copy of the shorts first before giving the shorts to Lewis) Also, I absolutely love these videos, keep up the great work!

So, the slime hutch you've gotta put water in the tub things on the side so that they produce more slime and stuff. Also, you can put a fence around the slimes to stop them from hurting you. You can make a little area with 2 doors (one on the actual fence, and a second one at the end of a small hallway type thing to prevent them from getting out while you try to escape. Another thing is if you're putting up a fence, also put crafted flooring in that area so the slime balls don't spawn in the danger zone. They can't spawn on a crafted floor, so they'd automatically be outside the fence.
