  • I heard this 1970 Dodge Challenger TA has been found. It is a plum crazy purple FC7 TA. As well, I was told that this 1970 Dodge Challenger TA is now FOR SALE! I was able to take a video of this vehicle so that everyone can enjoy it and pass it along to others. This 1970 Dodge Challenger TA definitely deserves to be restored professionally by someone! I love the color combination.

Really in pretty good shape. Maybe $15k - $20k for paint. Another $20k for rebuilding the engine , trans and interior, another $5k for fuel system, brakes, etc, and you've got a very rare piece of auto history.

Yeah, right that's only maybe if you can do the work yourself!, the buy in, given today's market isn't unreasonable but to do this car right is going to cost a fortune!

TA is actually cast into an original 1970 Challenger engine block.Above the starter.

Yes. I was told it has that TA cast on the block. I didn't get close enough to look for it. I was passing what I was told on into the video.

$140,000 in a car you intend to enjoy awhile is meaningless,if you intend to flip good luck.you just might get your money back and then some. Then who's laughing now it's a gamble.

Told wrong, they all have vin numbers on the block, unless its a waranty replacement block. Huge red flag!

Could you not buy a TA block over the counter back in day ?

Very few were warranty replacement..Do you know the warranty replacement only started a few years ago..Nobody talked about that before..
The so called warranty replacement are people swapping motors in the 80's after they blew it..Not warranty replacement..
My Uncle owned a Chrysler dealer from 1950-late 90's...I think we know as we are into Mopar cars...Guys use the b.s warranty replacement as the engine is a 73 340 with numbers removed trying to pass as an original 340 6bbl...that is what it is!
In the 80's we drove these and they had 150,000 miles and we blew the engines, swapped a good running 340 from a 73 added a cam/heads and 6bbl and away we went! People were not into numbers back then as they are now.

@mypronouniswtf5559 I'm pretty sure they sold those TA Blocks over the counter. I have seen 426 hemis and other blocks that were purchased over the counter from dealership or parts houses from way back in 1970. I've seen some that were never used and still new and dated 1970. These blocks had no vin on them. Pad would be blank. That is why I assume they sold TA blocks similar. I could be wrong though.
