I purchased the AMEPoint product and its sloppy. The on/off isn't a button but a cylinder that you turn to push the batteries into the terminal posts. Its a cheap way to do it but also not really a nice experience. It works as an on/off button and doesn't seem to fall out like I would expect. Because of the way this works I have a lot of concern about accuracy. I installed on one of my pistols with a 3MOA red dot sight and it showed my site to be way off at 10 yards. I have no idea how this could be. I shoot this pistol at the range at 10 to 35 yards extremely accurately. I was sure to push the tool all the way down the barrel (btw short barrel pistols this will not work as it pushed the stabilizing plastic piece into the open gap in the slide. The tip of the muzzle has to have the conical end of the sight fully seated. That alone is concern for accuracy because its only being held in by a piece of plastic that will eventually wear and have more play, or may not be sitting top dead center of the barrel in the first place. Short distance may not be a concern but as you increase distance the alignment falls off exponentially. After all this and the fact that I don't trust its accuracy I tried returning it. I got it on day one and sent a note like the site said that I wanted to return for refund and they denied me as out of the policy. This person doing the email is either really stupid and doesn't understand the 7 day policy, or just didn't bother to look at when I received the item and just felt like denying the claim. This along with the fact I noticed a 25% restocking charge and then probably on me to mail it back etc. I realized for the few bucks it costs its really not worth returning it. Best use for this product I would say is using it for the cat to chase. She seems to love it. In a nut shell its probably best for you to just go to the range and sight in your gun by actually shooting it.
well you are supposed ot thread in the adapter to the guage you need sucky part they are not marked but they cover a wide range of cal of guns and your not supposed to be ruff with your stuff other wise yup it will break i still have this tool and use it all the time and it works perfect all the time,., its possible it does not support .45 cal i only use the .177 and .22 cal adapters my self and i shoot airguns not firearms
Looking at it switched off the laser looks off axis. But what I did was hang a plumb line and rotate the laser in the barrel to find it’s vertical at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock I choose to leave it at the 6 o’clock position and that should resolve any left right issues. The elevation is less of a problem. Also you must make sure you gun is level before you start changing to anything 😅
ya i know all that and these are setup correctly at the factory they are to make the bore aling with the scope that does not mean your gun shots straight it does get you to be able to hit the target for the last tweeks tho for the scope to get it on target ,, scope from the factory i usualy set up for firearms at 100 yards not pellet guns how ever these are for both pellet guns and firearms either way not for use to make your gun shoot on target bulls eye just used to get you on the target to complet the setup once you fire of a few shots you know..
Did not watch this video before I used it. The instructions on battery installment is some what confusing. First time I placed the batteries in the unit. It did not work so I thought I placed the batteries wrong. It was difficult removing the batteries by the instructions. I finally realized I had to us pressure to push the batteries holder in the compartment to remove the batteries. I had the batteries in correctly. But as you discussed the battery holder does not stay in so it did not have a connection to turn the unit on when I pressed the power button. That was the reason it did not work, as you have describibed. Their is also no markings on the adapters to denote which one is what. I have the Hatsan 125 mod QE. The laser wobbles because of the silencer. I have the . 22 version. But with the smaller . 22 but it will not stay still. So I have no idea how to sight in this bore laser. Tried the bigger sizes but it is protruding and wobbles. I don't know how far down this goes in the barrel.
Nice vid..Have you ordered batteries for this unit to replace the originals. I ordered the LR44 button batteries for this , but they were slightly larger in diameter and would not go all the in the battery holder. If you have a link to the correct lr44 batteries to replace , that wood be great..
there is only one size of lr44 that i know of and i get mine at the dollar store so not sure what your getting but does not sound like you got the right batteies lr44 is lr44
I bought the same bore scope but the bummer is is that my Gamo .177 pellet rifle has a plastic piece connected to the end of the barrel, like a silencer so I’d have to drive the two pins out to take it off. I can do that but for now I just set it aside until I find the time to work on it.
So is your scope/sights not attached to your firearm? If the laser is in your barrel and the scope/sight is attached, even if you move the firearm during adjustment it doesn't matter. You just have end up with the illuminated dot in the center of your cross hairs. Pick up the gun, it should still be aligned.
well i own airguns that are under 500 fps so not firearms anyhow yes the idea is to have the dot in the center but there is a specific range at which you need to be to make sure the scope is aligned with the bore this how ever does not site in the gun it self it just makes sure you can hit the target so you also wont waste to many rounds to hit the bullseye as you do final adjustments with the scope
@@KevinMillard68 that's my point, it's not an exact tool. You don't have to worry about putting your gun in a vise. The laser just gets you close and you make your final adjustment on the range. The bore sight shouldn't move around that much that you couldn't use it while holding the gun in your hands.
Thanks for the video. I bought the same scope on Amazon’s warehouse deals and it didn’t come with instructions but I can probably find them online. I want to sight in Gamo Bone Collector so I collect squirrel bones lol.
its pretty easy load the batteries use the smallets one for .177 cal the next size up is for .22 cal and so on be a min of 25 feet from any wall or tree dial in the red dot till its dead on the cneter of your crosss hairs then site in the gun from there

They obviously won’t believe that are they?? How can I re-align it??
you understand how a scope works right ok so this laser same deal there is a position it has to be in when put into the boar in order to align things if you twist the laser off from center then your off if you cant a scope you miss as well so rotating the laser is not helping you here these are factory aligned lasers and are not ment for the end use to screw with use it as you need to and it should be fine it would take way to log of typing to explain all this so i hope the basic here helps so don't screw with the laser , you could send it back to where you got it and get it replaced it might have a defective one but i doubt it
@@KevinMillard68 As said I didn’t touch the grub screws (watched a few of these reviews well before buying it and knew not to) so anyway when I looked down the laser, like a scope it is 100% obvious that it hadn’t been aligned .. The beam was going off to one side quite considerably and as described when rotating it the dot formed a large circle and did not stay central ... It was only 10quid so I’m not that fussed, I’ll use it as a laser toy for my cat and get another.
yea dont mess with it, yea right, mine was off by so much the red dot was below the bore at 10 feet and when I put it in my drill it made big circles on the wall.

once you have the right size bore tip installed you twist it clockwise to tighen it up then you make sure the laser power button is facing up then look thru your scope and adjust till the laser is in the middle of your cross hairs then you remove take a shot and fine tune from there what this thing does is align your scope to the centre of the bore min of 10 meters is required to setup for under 100 yards etc,. etc but if you need 100 yards then you have to have the dot at 100 yards and align from there is so on ..
