Frango, boi, coelho, pato, caranguejo, peixes em geral...são vários os animais que sacrificamos para comer. Tartarugas são mais alguns deles. Cada cultura tem seu jeito. Também fico com pena. Mas não critico.

This is not turtles and turtle in khmer mean អណ្តើក, we don’t eat turtle for meal and the one that showed in the video is a soft shelled turtle which we call កន្ធាយ.

Unless you guys are Vegan or Vegetarian… zip it. How you salivate over jumping shrimp or crawfish being boiled alive, OR crab getting cut in half while alive is their same reaction to consuming the freshest turtle.

I don’t understand why people are all up in arms about the turtles , they are farmed turtles and they have not been caught in the wild, and when you are looking at a Cambodian cooking channel you should understand how Cambodian people eat and live , they are renowned worldwide for eating anything as in Cambodia they have children and adults who are severely malnourished and poverty stricken , are you going to stop them from eating whatever they can lay their hands on and say don’t you can’t eat that as the western world will definitely be offended by your actions , I love watching and learning how different cultures live, cook and how the poor and disadvantaged people live and do their best just to keep their heads above water and food in their tummy’s , but if we turned the tables and Cambodian people saw mmm how the western world treats chickens put 4-5 hens in a tiny cage so we can have eggs for our breakfast they to would think how barbaric we are we need to be sensitive to all the different cultures and not judge them for cooking recipes that has been cooked and eaten for generations also we need to respect and be sensitive to different cultures that our world consists of, we have been invited to watch their cooking channel to learn but not to judge them for what they do please be respectful to our host’s of their cooking channel 🙏

If you all watch closely, as they were being pulled out of the boiled water, the turtles are headless and bleeding from that area. That means you all need to relax. They cut off the heads from these turtles before they boiled them. They werent alive. Its just nerves reacting now at that point.

They're being boiled alive. It's not a "cultural" thing. This is torture. They can quickly kill them and prevent them from suffering. If you cut the connection between his brain and his body, it won't feel pain anyway.
