    Hi, Awesome Review... your review actually shows useful stuff such as removal of the fabric for washing while others show repeated installation procedure... Now my query is apart from the magnetic clip and springs is there any other difference between these two? Can the fabric be still removed and washed on the MAX like the regular Magellan?
    Also how much better is the MAX when compared to the Nuna Rava.. Thanks.

      Thanks so much, Robinson! You nailed it on the differences between the Magellan and Magellan MAX: the magnetic chest clip and spring loaded shoulder straps and buckle (which are super cool btw) are only available on the MAX. BOTH car seats have removable, machine washable fabrics. We haven't done a side-by-side of the Magellan MAX and Nuna RAVA (yet), but the main difference right of the bat is the weight limit. The Magellans are suitable from 5-120 lbs. while the RAVA weight limit is 5-65 lbs. You can read up more on how parents feel about the RAVA here: www.babylist.com/hello-baby/best-convertible-car-seats Hope that helps!

    Hello, I am concerning about toddler rear-facing position. I don't feel it convenient for my 1,6 y.o. boy seating in this position. Such a narrow angle. Is there are any other more detailed video that can help me to better understand how my son must seat there? I noticed that my baby didn't move to the back and set straight :-(.
    I will really appreciate for your help.

    That pop up strap feature on the Max is pretty genius. The struggle is real!

    I want a video showing install of the carseat, how convenient is it with a seat belt?

    • @Babylist-Videos
      @Babylist-Videos  6 років тому

      Great video suggestion. We'll work on it 👊 The seat belt install is pretty straightforward. The seat fabric unbuttons in a way that makes it pretty easy to wiggle the belt through which is nice. The LATCH is also great! Gotta love the snug and sturdy install.

    could you do a video showing how it to install it? Rear facing? With the seat belt and the latch system?

    She only says stuff that's in the promotional material... The red button is so difficult to press. I have extremely strong hands and I find it very difficult. Do you purchase these things to review, or do the companies gift them to you?

      Our videos come to life with a combination of research and real experience. We like to share what parents are seeing in the product manual to be sure we're sharing accurate info and safety suggestions, while also breaking down the confusing stuff. That's a good point about the red button being stubborn! Have you found out and ways to make it easier?

      @@Babylist-Videos Haven't found ways for it to be easier, but I have a seatbelt cutter in case of emergencies.

    I just bought this car seat but why won't the headrest harness lift? Is there a lock somewhere that I need to unlock first?

    • @Babylist-Videos
      @Babylist-Videos  6 років тому

      Hey Oksana, you should be able to pinch the piece located at the top of the headrest and pull up to adjust to one of the 14 positions, no lock. Demo at 1:19. Hope that helps!

      Babylist, I think mine is defective, because I can't get it to lift :(. Thanks for the info!

    Is it pretty spacious front to back? What about leg room when rear facing?

    • @Babylist-Videos
      @Babylist-Videos  6 років тому

      It has a good amount of space! Maxi-Cosi seats are designed in a way that they don't take up as much space front to back (so that the people in the front seat don't have to be squished) -- but the seat is deep enough that both Levi and Piper (who are tall for their age) could still ride really comfortably.

    Hi, Do you know if Maxi Cosi has release replacement covers for the Magellan? We have a Pira 85 for two years and thankfully we can buy a replacement cover set. But I can't seem to find that for the Magellan. Which with a lifetime of the 10 years I can imagine I'll need to replace it up to 5 times...if it truly ends up lasting 10 years that is. :-)

    • @Babylist-Videos
      @Babylist-Videos  6 років тому

      Haha! Good question. It doesn't look like they sell the cover on their site. They recommend you reach out about your warranty: www.maxicosi.com/us-en/service-support/warranty/

    Do 10 year olds really want to sit in such a bulky belt positioning booster? I would think once they no longer need the high back booster they'd prefer a slim booster. Not a hey everyone look I'm still in a carseat look...
