Maybe, but thing is: they made Ithelia ugly as hell! Been playing on the PTS, and I was sooo sad. A new daedric Prince, yet she's soo, soo not pretty. (Otherwise the expansion is nice, I do like most of the quests, and some of them are really interesting)
One big problem I have, is the riding/stamina/inventory increase to mounts. Sure, I don't mind having a system like that, but please make it account wide. Having to individually increase these stats on every single alt is just so dumb.
This is what I was hoping he was going to talk about. Player locked stuck instead of account bound is sooooo annoying and seems like an artificial road block.
How is that honestly any different than having to reobtain skills or crafting recipes on every new character? Only alternative I see, is them adding the ability to purchase max mount levels from the crown store after doing it on one character. Same as the guild skill lines.
At least substitude the pet for our none combat pet and the warden pet.for bears earn in crate or other animals like inngame you see enemie wardens callimg diferentet animals to ther help
Would be cool to just get cosmetics. Would be even cooler if each race had its own critters. The wood elves could summon spriggans. The dark elves could summon their ancestors like in previous games.
Making it a crime in cities would be nice, but they won't do that. At the very least unrender them while in a menu so I don't have a bright blue windshield wiper on my screen everywhere I go
im pretty sure the extra crown crates and GOOD rewards in the daily sign in rewards are part of the 10year celebration. i dont expect it to continue after the celebration
@@RimaruTempest-qf2zeyeah because stupid players buy these stupid micro transactions. The players are always the core of the problem. If it wasn’t profitable then micro transactions wouldn’t be so prominent.I don’t mind cosmetic shit, but buying something like mount speed is just outright dumb.
By them adding more crates or dlc for free DOESNT make them lose money. It keeps players playing their game, increasing the likely hood of them making MORE money.
I'd argue giving away free crates would make them even more money because people would get a taste for them or even get only a part of something and make them want to buy more to get the full set.
@@SekiberiusWelkesh Corporations don't see that unfortunately. If they lowered prices, had consistently good log in rewards, you increase log ins and your average player who doesn't spend would look at good deals and be more encouraged to spend money because they don't feel like they are spending and getting nothing. banker is 50+ dollars. For every 1 person that buys it, you get 10+ who don't.
@@RagingRevinelook at how the zones dlc and dungeons and guilds content is separated as ridiculously expensive purchases. Average dlc for just a couple dungeons is like $15 and it kicks you out of gear so it's literally pay to win and there's also no game sharing ANYTHING. It's chased of so many players because the games not that impressive or innovative for how expensive everything is. Especially when base game content or even zone dlc content is easy ASF.
@@jacobjester4761 That's why the game encourages you to spend 20 bux every month on the subscription service. It's a double edged system. If they were to stop worrying so much about trying to gross as much money as possible and focused more on player retention, they would obtain high profits every year.
The uptick in rewards for 2024 has everything to do with the 10th Anniversary. I highly doubt years to come will be as good. When the daily login reward system was added, it replaced the hoop jumping players had to do such as login between a certain day and time - of which many players would miss the window. Past requirements to stream an ESO dev show to earn reward was broken as well. To curb all the issues, the monthly login reward system was born.
The fact they are putting DLCs back in the logins is what will get me back. I can't afford a subscription, and I can't really buy the DLCs very often. So catching them for free was huge for me back in the day...then they just stopped for ages.
Biggest problem being gambling crates and free login rewards… I guess the terrible character models are at the bottom of the list….. THEY NEED TO BE UPDATED/OVERHAULED
@Deathfromabove-gn6ib I agree though, if the game-play is really good, I'll overlook lower graphics quality. E.g. most Nintendo games. ESO's game-play is fun at first and even well into end-game content, but then becomes extremely repetitive with light-attack-weaving. And it is the same build over and over again across all classes. It is just that you have to chase the latest sets every 3-4 months with each DLC or expansion. With dozens of skills and hundreds of sets to choose from, you have the illusion of a wide variety of builds but in reality you have one or two tops. Any more than that and the Devs are hopelessly outclassed in being able to keep their game balanced.
Yup totally worked. My friend was like "hey, if you log in 3 times this month you get a free house and it's a really nice one" My reply was "Oh okay. I'll get onto steam and re install the game" Then I got curious about the arcanist class and bought the Necrom chapter. lol
I still play as often as I did before. I will note one of my sticking points is mount training. I have been playing since a early test when bleakrock was our only map and to this day i have never completed a mount training 100%. I hate that system so much. You can either forget or you have to do it for basically half a year or so on every damn character and I loath it. Having said that at least nowdays we can hit sprint cap much easier so its not as big as a deal.
the craft bag is what sells subs which leads to dlc and chapters being made.if your too cheap to sub then just buy the storage chest in game with crafting writs / buy a character slot and use the character as a crafting storage mule.
Yup. I'm planning out the jump to stamcro now bc of it. Check out ninja pulls. They just put out a pretty good guide on it. The only thing I disagree on is that it's not bad. Yes it can output numbers but damb is it missing qol mist classes have
If you think they are going to do anything significant to necro after 5 years of not doing anything significant, I also have a space ship I would like to sell you.
@@nicholasb8098doesn’t feel like a necromancer… what exactly do you want to feel more like a necromancer? More summons? Ability to summon more than one skeleton? Permanent summons?
I started playing ESO in Feb. of 2018, and I was amazed at how generous the game was in comparison to other MMOs I've played [most recent being FFXIV]. Not just with the login rewards, but with the free mount AND a free inn room. All in a base game that you could play for free. But in recent years the lack of rewards, generally, has been pretty noticeable, and correlates directly with the push to monetize the game. The improved rewards may signal that the accountants running the game may have finally realised that they're strangling the golden goose.
I actually feel like its the complete opposite, I stopped playing eso because theres so few actual cool things you can earn as rewards via for example completing vet dungeons- I generally think that ffxiv is easily the better game tbh when it comes to earnable goodies like mounts and stuff- only played eso cause I love the elder scrolls lore lol 😅
@@tralo_1274 Square have a very different mindset: you buy the expansion, you get all the goodies, and the expansions are /big/. What I meant was that in ESO, new players get more rewards than I was used to, right from the start. But...I started playing in 2018, and I don't do vet stuff. That said, I know my friends have complained about the gradual reduction in rewards. For me personally, what I hate with a passion is that the best houses are only available via the crown store, and they require real money to buy them. That, to me, is obscene. :(
@@acflory.writer yeah thats the biggest flaw in general imo- that they put too much effort into the crown store rather than into actually giving stuff to the players by finishing end game content. Though to be fair the daily log in rewards werent that bad the last time- i wonder if it will stay like this or if its just because of the birthday. Anyway i've stopped playing eso forr good a few weeks ago so i wont find out ;)
The biggest complaint that I and my friends have had with ESO from the beginning is dividing the skills onto 2 bars instead of having a 10 to 12 skill skillbar, etc. I understand they have to do that for consoles, but PC players have a nice big keyboard with plenty of keys for skills, potions, etc. Why are PC players handicapped. I know of several players who have quit the game because of the UI. For example, one friend liked to use 2 combat pets for his sorcerer, but that meant that he had to put 2 pets on each bar, therefore using a total of 4 skill slots instead of two. The UI is just lazy programming on the part of the developers. (I'm a software engineer. )
Considering they aren't mandatory in any way, why does it matter to you? Some people like them, and you can ignore them completely with absolutely no impact on the game.
What I really want regarding Crown Crates is for older ones to be rotated in already. It always feels like the same five crates are being regurgitated with the older crates being a singular drop at random in daily rewards. The reason this sucks is due to things like Hairstyles being locked in a literal time gate while you wait for the "chance" to get it (nope, mimic stones, poison, potion, and repair kit for you with either a non-combat pet or random markings you probably already have) and it's really tiring. While I can appreciate being able to swap at will via the Collectables, there are so many things that make for cool designs and in some cases literal gating away from options that should just be base game (look at the like 3 redguard options for textured hair i.e. short apro, slightly bigger apro, and badly textured dreads) and while a lot of people may say they're just hairstyles-- the major reason people play long-term in MMO's is to look cool. Look at WoW and FFXIV where people finish the content (or what they want) and just sit in a social hub for hours. Outside of that some things simply need improvement when it comes to flavor. If you want to play a vampire-- body markings almost become invisible (for the vast majority of them) and to get the most improvement to their abilities you need to be in stage 3 to stage 4 which exacerbates the issue with now makeup/head-markings being nigh invisible beneath the red veins and dark shadows around the eyes. There should be an option to pick the Stage appearance in the Skins tab for Vamps. A major thing to note is that these types of things don't require nearly as much effort to implement. It really can be the small things that make people want to stick around.
Sad to say but even if the quests are fantastic and the world is beautiful there's no overcoming bad floaty combat that encourages use of animation cancelling bugs as part of the core rotations for every class.
Unless I don't know about it I just want crossplay to be added to play with some friends from other platforms. It's one of the only MMOs out there that's on consoles too I just wish they would allow that to be crossplay
Big problem is, when they give away a daily reward that I/we already purchased for 4k crowns for example, especially when you just bought the damn item a few weeks or months ago. Why would they come up with a plan to substitute that daily reward with 10/15 crown crates for a big ticket item you paid for that’s now free. So for those daily log ins you got nothing, but everyone else got something. That’s a real nice thing to do.
dude I couldn't believe when I saw a house show up in the login rewards. I had to look that up to make sure I wasn't seeing things. It's about damn time they calm down on nickel and diming us for every possible cent. Really glad to see these changes.
The rewards didn't make me play more BUT it garnered a bit of goodwill - I really like what they're doing. I really think it's the right path too, because for instance the house buying crowd is probably very niche, high spenders that buy houses vs most other players who don't buy houses. Giving a house away won't change anything with the vast majority other than earn goodwill, because of how pricing only targets that niche.
Changing login rewards and rewards in general is a very good thing. What still keeps me from a longer return is the floatiness of the game. You can't jump or run on most roofs or steep surfaces. Instead we just "float" down there. Also, I just lost the feel as if there is any weapon impact. Its like waving with your weapons in the face of the enemies. Something went missing after playing for so many years. Even though I really want to like the game like many years before. Also there are so many animations that could use an overhaul. The staves for example. Its always "poke -> fireball, poke -> fireball" and so on. I'd rather prefer more diverse animations. Dragon Age 2 did a good job on that regard.
I hope the skill build option I read about will let me enjoy my sorcerer again. I play alone & I don't like having to cycle my spells as widely as I see some builds do so when they screwed my Crystal Shards spell I started another new character and made it my main, but it's not as fun as my sorcerer was in the beginning.
I played it again at the start of this month on PC, after being out for quite a few years on xbox (Over 1600CP). I ended up uninstalling the game 1 week later. Once I got to CP 160, the game just got boring, as I felt I was just doing dailies non stop like before and pushing for an extra cp point constantly. The combat is non impactful and boring. Not to mention the ESO Plus subscription I needed in order to not fill my inventory with crafting materials and have a chance to even play what the game had to offer.
Crates (and other items from the shop) make me feel more valued as a player than potions or foods I'll never use. In terms of customer psychology, players who feel valued are more likely to spend money in the shop and to bring people into the game
@HackTheMinotaur you are making the mistake (you're not the only one) of thinking the login rewards "value" increase is due to ZOS "listening",the increase is due only to the 10th anniversary (which apparently is lasting 18 months from the start of this year) so don't be surprised when login rewards go back to "normal" after the anniversary. I'm not trying to "Piss on the Parade" i'm just simply trying to stop people getting their hopes dashed by thinking this will become the new "normal". 👍
One thing I wish they would do is have a catch up system similar to Black Desert Online. It's been a while but I think you could make up week days on the weekend. Playing at lease four hours on Saturday with two logins and get two days of rewards.
I don't know if this makes sense to most of the players, but I'm not a ESO plus member. So if we got something like 100 Crowns per month that would be awesome for players like me that only get to spend some money on scenarios, rather than a monthly subscription. I understand we get some Crowns while using ESO Plus, but I believe that more options would be welcome for more dedicated players, just like they do for several MMOs and gacha-like games. Only time I got Crowns was when I first for Vvardenfel and then nothing else, and that was back in 2018! Those 1000 Crowns are still there in my account!
They likely will never do anything like that simply because of the endeavors system, Zos's way to comply with MS and their rule about making loot box items earnable in game. Also, almost anyone on ESO+ does it for the craft bag, the crowns are just a small bonus incentive.
@@fredhurst2528 Yeah, I junderstand most of these points, specially the Craft Bag which I'm thinking about getting for a month or so. But my main complaint about it is because some expansions like The Dark Brotherhood and Clockwork City can only be gotten with Crowns, and from what I've seen recently Endeavour Points are mostly used for mounts or pets. Never seen an expansion there.
@@Metalders I have bought 3 crown store expansions with gold from crown sellers, as well as a few other goodies. Just something to consider, I don't know if you are in any trade guilds, but it's always a good idea. The downside is you can really get caught up in the greed 😆
Best update I've seen so far is the PVP repair kits. Siege weapons, castles, bridges, doors and walls can all now be repaired by a single versatile item, instead of separate repair kits for each item. Consolidating those repair kits to a single item that can be purchased in bulk at any keep frees up inventory space and simplifies the assignable items wheel.
Suggestions for improving. Like skills. Allow us to buy mount skills to jump us up to max mount stat. Make pvp armor the only way to actually engage in pvp so balance is easier to be maintained. Allow us to sell homes off even if at a loss. Have trial sets actually best in slot for an entire year at least. I had another idea but forgot it lol will add if remember
Oh I remember! Allow customizable pets! Outside exotic sold for money pets allow normal versions. Instead of bears allow wolves deer a wolverine lol Deadra? Allow humanoid bound to you. Exclusive deadra mount to sorcerers who go full into summon tree. Undead? Allow different races and animal skeleton summonable mount exclusive to the necro.
It's too late for some, but the game really is still amazing and STILL improving so that's always great news. ESO is still IMO highly underrated. It's literally corporate greed that holds this game back, the very opposite of what would bring them greater success. Corporate greed literally kicks itself in it's own nuts so becomes more aggressive and eventually needs something else to milk and dry out to replace what said aggressivness killed off itself. .....Corporate greed is shooooort sighted
@@Aoasixevery single classes DPS rotations rely on using light weaving to cancel animations in order to do the best DPS. It's a bug that's gone unfixed since launch but by now it's so ingrained in the community that people actually argue in favor of keeping it. No other MMO of this scale is so heavily criticized for bad combat as ESO.
@@Quiet_9 arcanist doesn’t really rely on weaving tbh but that’s a fair opinion to have, I will say the devs have stated that they always knew it was there but that they didn’t intend it to have as much of a impact as it used to have that’s why they adjusted light attack damage across the board and added in global cooldowns killing most forms of true animation canceling. So it’s technically a feature not a bug. I personally enjoy it because you don’t NEED the absolute best dps that perfect weaving can add to clear any content in the game at all. On a side note it isn’t really hard and just requires practice to be consistent, which would then make it a “skill” which imo adds a extra layer to eso’s combat especially pvp that I and many others enjoy considering they took a lot of other skill based things out of the game. Besides it is one of the little things that makes eso eso. If you prefer to not have it then why not play other games you enjoy that don’t have it ? (Genuine question not tryna be a dick) Eso is already much simpler in terms of gameplay than a lot of other mmo’s so I’ll take anything they will give that can you actually practice and hone to make yourself better, it’s part of the fun.
@@Quiet_9 also I might add that no other mmo had combat quite like eso, it’s one of the main appeals to the game so if you think it’s bad then you really just don’t like their design philosophy as it’s apart of it’s identity. Why be like every other mmo ? ESO’s goal was to not be like other mmo’s
Idc about monthly rewards. They need to update old dungeon drops with new items to entice older players or give a bonus for helping new players complete older content. After a 3 year break, doing anything dungeon related is god awful. We also need more events to encourage working with each other.
You had criminal and housing daily endeavors with bonuses, expect this to cycle so you get extra for quests in zones during event or PvP during mayhem and so on.
I think the Sword-Singer Redoubt is a nod to the coming of Elder Scrolls: Hammerfell. I hope we get a bunch of Regaurd stuff for whatever event ESO holds for the new solo game. The Redoubt is HUGE and I already have a wood elf with Gorinir estate, a Dunmer vamp with Ebonheart Chataeu, a nord with the Antiquarian house is West Skyrim, and an Imperial with Domus Phrasticus. I am out of furnishings and the blank space is breaking my heart. It would be nice to fill it without breaking the bank.
By far my biggest wish for this game is the ability to switch between servers, within the same platform. I’ve moved, and my latency is now 185 at the minimum. Starting an 8 year account over is not an option
dude thats nothing. Nightmare raiding in SWTOR with a ping of 500, now that was an experience. Just a side effect of those of us who happen to live in rural small town USA. Not to mention the internet going out during the last boss at less than 20% health, when you are the tank. Ahh the 'good ol' days'.
I picked this game back up last month for the first time since 2016, the daily login rewards are alright. And i didn't expect to see houses you can own thrown into the mix.
The biggest reason I quit playing (having played from beta on PC til it went to Xbox, then from that point til a year ago) was the incessant requirement for 'weaving'. I've got pretty bad arthritis in my knuckles, and it just kept getting worse and worse. Not that bad in my thumbs, but fingers? It hurts just to type this. It's why I went from PC to console - much easier on my fingers. But, attack weaving just kept getting more and more important every expansion, sometimes even updates. It's become better, but still a ridiculous requirement, even if for no other reason that to get resources back. It's not that big of a deal for anyone doing basic content... but, if they want to do higher tier, harder, 'best of the best' level content, they MUST utilize light attack weaving. Last I played, it was a major difference in testing on the dummies. I forced myself to endure the pain, and could get around 95K. But... when I didn't weave? Around 60K. LAW was adding ~50% of what I was already doing. And, when I wasn't causing myself a crapload of pain, there was no way my group was able to do any REAL content. We could do easy stuff, but we had done those countless times, and it was just a bore-fest. Really wish they would just cut weaving out entirely, or balance abilities so that if they are canceled, or paired with any form of weaving, they do 65% of the damage they are supposed to do. Balance the game so that it isn't REQUIRED to do it.
I’ve not played this game in well over a year but I’d be happy with a account wide daily crafting writs completion or hirling option so I don’t have to login to every character and do all the 7 crafting writs on each character, that would make me consider coming back to the game as it was the big chunk of my gold earning and gameplay time Unless that’s already been done with some sort of full automation mod
Also they gave away Murkmire for free as a login reward, back in 2018. Early login rewards were amazing, they really hit the ground running. But since then they decided they were giving away too much for free and really throttled them back. Oh boy another stack of crown food. It took a few years, but it's nice to have rewards to look forward to again!
I've beem playing on and off for nearly a decade and i tried getting back into it again last year bit just couldnt. Finally logged on at the end of last month to get the free thief horse and the changes to the rewards have honestly kept me coming back ever since. This is the first month since I started playing in 2015 that i have not missed a single day of logging on 🥳
I have to say that I completely disagree with your take on why the daily login rewards are currently so much better. I think it ties in with the 10 year anniversary being celebrated way more than it does with ZOS committing to making daily rewards better in general
Making the dauly rewards better has motivated me to get back into the game more. They needed to be doing this years ago tbh, and they need to keep it up if they dont want this game to die.
The biggest thing this game needs to improve is the field and impact of the combat because wow is the king in that respect and still no one is even close to touching it. The combat and controls just feel so good and wow.
it's not just the crown crates where the rewards fluxed. i feel like there's an exact match between how many unique rewards there were in general, 2021-2023 we rarely even get mounts or costumes for login rewards, when i remember we got unique ones many months at a time before.
In the settings, there is an option to alter the color (edit: and the opacity) of the aoe effects, a lot of players make it pink or lavender so it will stand out more on the various terrains.
I have logged in nearly every day for years, so the daily login rewards don't make me log in, but they do make me feel like a valuable customer, which makes my experience lighter and happier. 2022's monetization almost made me quit (If that direction had continued for another year or two, I would have been gone), but 2023 and 2024 have been sooooo much better!
The best way to improve login rewards is to get rid of them completely. They exist only to build up FOMO and there's more than enough FOMO in ESO as is.
Reinstalling ESO as Im typing this. Been around 9 or 10 months since my last login, its so great to finally see ESO start heading in the right direction!
One thing they can do is basically do what fallout 76 does, remove the daily reward system (this basically only reward people who treats the game as a job and continually log in everyday) change it in a format like season! Where you add daily and weekly challenge (just like the endeavours) that gives XP to boost your season score, the rewards can go from outfit, to certain legendary weapons or armour(1x per season) housing items to craft, gold, crowns, crates, crafting good etc. And then have every weekend kind of a small event (like double reward for dailies or pledged) then have once a month a big event. And the season should last at least 2 month and yea ESO + members will get more custom rewards, etc. I think the recipe fallout 76 has been way way better to bring back players and I feel like ESO would benefit it from it, especially if we get alternate looks or style for furniture and crafting stations. Because right now every macho guild house pretty much looks the same for the crafting stations
Unless they make the double bank space and crafting bag a baseline feature and not require a subscription, eso is unplayable outside of just super casual play.
I would love if I could buy Monster Set Helms, like you can shoulders with Undaunted Keys , never understood why they did one and not the other and riding skills made account wide having to get 60/60/60 on every single character is ridiculous.
Hmmm, got one idea - could you, pelase, add a short "technical" chapter to your ZERO TO HERO training? I mean - what add-ons you found useful, how to set-up your keyboard/mouse/controller to be able to play (move-and-cast-and-switch bars) as smoothly as possible (after years of playing I still struggle heavily :)). Maybe more ppl will find it useful? Thank you.
addons for me are :bag space , cobat metrics , skyshrds , lorebooks , destinations, dolgulbonslazywritcreator ( it will require plugins but it tells you whats needed) voltans mini map , lost treasure and master merchant. control set up i just set TAB for sprint with my ulti set for button 6 with follower if out using Y to get the addons us Minion and some addons will be marked out of date but they still work you just need to turn them on and minion makes up dating them on a patch day easy.
Was anyone able to get the new mount last year for the “saviour of Necrom” achievement? I’ve got one lead left from the graven deep dungeon. I’ve killed the right bosses over 50 times and it still hasn’t dropped. These new rewards aren’t worth sh*t if you can’t bloody earn them lol 😂😢
That was why I never went and killed the WB's for the style pages for the anniversary event , listening to the complaining of it not dropping made it not worth the time and effort , I did all characters on account crafting instead and got so many motifs/recipes from the boxes.
Was in that home two days ago and noticed that while it is accessed in Alik'r, it's actually in Bangkorai. Zoom out while in the home and it shows Bangkorai. Have someone port to you while in the home (which isn't available yet) and they will arrive at the nearest wayshrine in Bangkorai. It is a bit screwy and hopefully this last one gets fixed when you own the home.
I do like seeing a decent reward in the monthly calendar, it gives me something to look forward to. However, I prefer just straight up reward items, rather than RNG crates. Don't need any more potions, lol.
Well I don’t know if you will see this but, for some reason I got the urge to play this game again recently. I’ve always wanted to have a house but never wanted to spend money. since getting it I have logged in everyday!
TBH, i thought all the nicer daily login rewards this year is just due to the 'big' anniversary. Whilst it is nice, i'm sceptical that it will continue.
I'm wondering after the 10-year anniversary if the devs are going to do the same thing they did after 2018? They pretty much gutted the daily log-in rewards and focused on increasing crown store purchases almost exclusively until (when the hack occurred) last year. I get that it's a business and they're here to make money, but there are options. For instance, this year they offer 3 Dwarven crates, 5 Scalecaller crates, 4 Frost Atronach crates, etc...next year they switch it up with 3 other crates and then the next year go back to the crates they offered the year before. They could put them in a rotation like the houses. The devs could start the higher-end rewards after 10 or 15 days of logging in. They could also allow options with rewards like riding lessons not to be bound-not sellable to players, but you could gift them...Or, a player could choose to sell them to a vendor for gold, or possibly a crown gem. Things like that aren't going to significantly impact purchases in the Crown Store.
@@lorddchrono Dragons, etc are NPC's on set paths, not real players, a huge difference. You also need to realize the game engine cannot handle it and every zone of the game was not designed to support flying and/or getting over obstacles higher than the player can jump onto. This logic also goes for underwater anything, which is why you cannot and will not ever swim underwater. ZoS would have to redesign the entire game which would be an astronomical cost and effort to do. They have already said multiple times flying and swimming will never happen. Ask them yourself as I did when I started playing ESO 10 years ago, that will your answer.
@@terminalvelocity4858 Oh that's sad to know , such a beautiful wasted world, simple things like swimming, flying and climbing could really make ESO more fun.
I just started playing eso on Sunday and im loving it aside never having any storage and it feels very easy, does it get harder just doing regular quests?
No, and I'll be brutally honest with you after 10 years playing this game. Enjoy how it feels now, because it's going to get boring and very shallow very quickly after the shiny wears off. Also, if you are into cosmetics that look half decent, prepare your wallet for a huge dent in the online shop because the earnable rewards for the huge amount of time and efforts spent in this game are *terrible*. ESO+ is also a gimmick to fix that inventory "problem" you're having too (that they intentionally create, btw), don't fall for it unless you are willing to pay a monthly sub to "fix" it. If you enjoy the game, by all means enjoy it. If I were you, I would put your time and effort into a much better game.
Most questing content is pretty easy. ZeniMax sets the difficulty low so any player can come in and get the story experience. If you're looking for harder content I would recommend dungeons/veteran dungeons if you're comfortable with playing with other players. The infinite archive in necrom is more of a solo or duo challenge that's free for every player to access as well. If you have access to the solo arenas, maelstrom and vateshram available in wrothgar and the reach respectively, are fun and good ways of seeing where you are skill/gear wise. And finally there are trials but I would recommend finding a guild and get them to teach and prep you for those. I hope you enjoy the game, there's lots to do out there!
@@terminalvelocity4858I am new to the game and I agree with You the game is pay to win. I have enjoyed so far but I don't plan to pay a monthly subscription.
@@terminalvelocity4858 Completely agree. ESO is like a beautiful swimming pool that is only 2 feet deep. As @potatochip23 said, there's a lot to do in eso, yes technically, but the reality is very little reason to grind things like that endlessly for very little return for efforts (which get mega nerfed every patch). All paths eventually lead to one purchase after another and usually it's overhyped and half-baked at launch. This game has one of the biggest communities that thrive on hopium & copium. If wasting time or a fantasy story book mislabeled as a game is your passion, then by all means, otherwise yeah a LOT better games out there for sure.
Nah man the questing feels so irrelevant sometimes when the stories says that this thing is a world ending event and then you just 1 shot without a 2nd thought. I’ve had friends try and quit ESO within an hour because even they were able to just blast through the content without a challenge. Where ESO really shines is in its immersion and atmosphere. The art style, storytelling, and music are really well done

I do still require the SummerSet DLC, yeah for the Jewelry section to complete. Hope it is available in the upcomming June/July.
That is never going to happen the. Reason they have it designed. This way is to incentivize players to purchase Mount speed from the crown store
Not to mention, years ago, it WAS account wide. They changed it cuz Todd is a greedy MF.
How is that honestly any different than having to reobtain skills or crafting recipes on every new character?
Only alternative I see, is them adding the ability to purchase max mount levels from the crown store after doing it on one character. Same as the guild skill lines.
What part of "Todd Howard is a greedy MF" are you people not understanding?? ROFLMFAO!!
i want name change, race change, appearance change, alliance change tokens in daily login rewards.
Or be ernable in game
or at least purchasable with endeavors.
Appearance change I feel should be free for everybody. But changing race, name etc yeah that should be paid for
They should add a cosmetic for the sorcerer pets. The flying one is soo annoying 😅
That's why I went with a no pets build, that flappy fkr is so annoying and gets in the way constantly. 🤣
At the very least unrender them while in a menu so I don't have a bright blue windshield wiper on my screen everywhere I go
Then play something else instead of complaing about it
im pretty sure the extra crown crates and GOOD rewards in the daily sign in rewards are part of the 10year celebration. i dont expect it to continue after the celebration
I thought the same.
It won't continue, we'll get back to potions etc.
U people should stop buying stuff or it will never change
@@jonathanbiller2029 unfortunately microtransactions ae built into games these days. it aint going anywhere anytime soon

@@jacobjester4761 That's why the game encourages you to spend 20 bux every month on the subscription service.
It's a double edged system. If they were to stop worrying so much about trying to gross as much money as possible and focused more on player retention, they would obtain high profits every year.
Real problem is the "craft bag"
Right, most expensive game when you add everything up
The uptick in rewards for 2024 has everything to do with the 10th Anniversary.
Exactly.
Literally the comment I was looking for. Only being spoiled in May with a house and crate for 10yr anniversary.. Roll on garbage next month! 👀😂
Sounds about right
The fact they are putting DLCs back in the logins is what will get me back. I can't afford a subscription, and I can't really buy the DLCs very often. So catching them for free was huge for me back in the day...then they just stopped for ages.
I want them to change the mount training system. It is ridiculous.
Biggest problem being gambling crates and free login rewards… I guess the terrible character models are at the bottom of the list….. THEY NEED TO BE UPDATED/OVERHAULED
Agreed. The character models are middling even for 2012, which is the year they are stuck in, imo.
I'll get onto steam and re install the game"
Then I got curious about the arcanist class and bought the Necrom chapter. lol
OH d a free house ? I'm installing 😊
The marketplace is such a drag for casual players, not having an easy way to participate in the market makes it much harder to come back imo.
I totally came here hoping you'd say they took the craft bag outside of the paywall...Alas, no movement on that.
It’s a business not a charity
me too, not going to lie haha.
Bruh quit being cheap.
@@LostHorizons0 But its a buy to play - its not free in the 1st place
the craft bag is what sells subs which leads to dlc and chapters being made.if your too cheap to sub then just buy the storage chest in game with crafting writs / buy a character slot and use the character as a crafting storage mule.
The rewards for CONTENT and ingame pvp and pve is what needs to be improved. Its almost all crown store now
The pain point I want them to work on is the necromancer class. It feels even worse now. 😭
It doesn't feel like a necromancer at all
@@nicholasb8098doesn’t feel like a necromancer… what exactly do you want to feel more like a necromancer? More summons? Ability to summon more than one skeleton? Permanent summons?
I agree. Give us an actual minion based Necromancer. I appreciate Zos for wanting to do something different but it just hasn’t worked out.
You van make characters for diferents alliance and earn all inn apartments for free they are acount wide so you can delete character then after
@@lionheart1778 Yes. That's what I did when I started a new toon on the EU server.
(I'm a software engineer. )
Very helpful. I've reduced login as I play Starfield. Now I've got an extra reason to make sure I log into ESO.
A Real Step forward would be to get Rid of Crowncrates as a whole, not a fan of gamble mechanics.
Im picturing these login rewards dropping in quality next year. Think this is more of a 10 year anniversary situation.
The only reason this month's rewards are "decent" is damage control from last month's horrendous 10 year anniversary debacle.
I thought it was great
I love you hack, your dedication on showcasing ESO is commendable, I've quit for 3years now and just might come back.
Console needs a mini map the zoom function basically doesn’t work like it does not work. Please fix 🧐
Yes! This is such a huge QOL issue; can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet
It would be cool if they gave us a furniture bundle for completing a community event. Since we got a house a furniture bundle would be a good match.
Instead of bears allow wolves deer a wolverine lol
Deadra?
💯
The free house is HUGE, I was honestly expecting another room inside some inn
Hoping it was light weaving. Then I’d come back.
What’s wrong with light weaving ?
The reward system got better, by 5%. When you compare the amount of items created for the store and crates to the shit you can earn -- it's unreal.
You had criminal and housing daily endeavors with bonuses, expect this to cycle so you get extra for quests in zones during event or PvP during mayhem and so on.
I've noticed the quality increase in rewards. And yeah, I've made the effort and logged in more.
^^ That moment when it's obvious that the game plays it's players more than the players play the game.
@@revanjagergaming8714it's definitely something
I picked this game back up last month for the first time since 2016, the daily login rewards are alright. And i didn't expect to see houses you can own thrown into the mix.
Lots of filler language in this video for length. Would have preferred a conversational style and title than what looked like an urgent QoL fix.
Your criticism and opinion doesn't matter. Has anyone told you that ?
1: Craft bag🎒 2:beds and furniture i can actually use in my house 🤨
I’ve not played this game in well over a year but I’d be happy with a account wide daily crafting writs completion or hirling option so I don’t have to login to every character and do all the 7 crafting writs on each character, that would make me consider coming back to the game as it was the big chunk of my gold earning and gameplay time
Unless that’s already been done with some sort of full automation mod
Also they gave away Murkmire for free as a login reward, back in 2018. Early login rewards were amazing, they really hit the ground running. But since then they decided they were giving away too much for free and really throttled them back. Oh boy another stack of crown food. It took a few years, but it's nice to have rewards to look forward to again!
Take consumables out of crown crates.
Years ago they gave away the Murkmire DLC.
Good they gave away Orsinium and Thieves Guild this year.
Man I just want them to change the auction house sooo bad it suuuuuuuuuuuucks.
it's not just the crown crates where the rewards fluxed. i feel like there's an exact match between how many unique rewards there were in general, 2021-2023 we rarely even get mounts or costumes for login rewards, when i remember we got unique ones many months at a time before.
Have they fixed blocking, or cyrodiil performance yet?
Yes definitely. For a while since, I've been playing the game every day and due to daily rewards/events not been missing any day
Noob question- how do you get that pink/purple fill on the circle when aoe is about to land?
I can never use potions in quickslots during battle. Is there some secret
this is one part of reasons why I still do play to ESO instead of skipping ^^
I wonder if ZOS realized that responding with "fuck you" or general mockery at players when talking about QoL was a terrible idea.
Nah the biggest complaint is still being combat locked when trying to mount
The daily login rewards in 2024 are special as it's the 10th anniversary of the game. I'm betting 2025 won't be as good.
Thank you.
addons for me are :bag space , cobat metrics , skyshrds , lorebooks , destinations, dolgulbonslazywritcreator ( it will require plugins but it tells you whats needed) voltans mini map , lost treasure and master merchant.
control set up i just set TAB for sprint with my ulti set for button 6 with follower if out using Y
to get the addons us Minion and some addons will be marked out of date but they still work you just need to turn them on and minion makes up dating them on a patch day easy.
What is difficult about 5 easily rebindable buttons, and a mouse button to swap between bars I genuinely cant understand
Great idea!
How many of these crates are current ones versus orboros
Was anyone able to get the new mount last year for the “saviour of Necrom” achievement? I’ve got one lead left from the graven deep dungeon. I’ve killed the right bosses over 50 times and it still hasn’t dropped. These new rewards aren’t worth sh*t if you can’t bloody earn them lol 😂😢
That was why I never went and killed the WB's for the style pages for the anniversary event , listening to the complaining of it not dropping made it not worth the time and effort , I did all characters on account crafting instead and got so many motifs/recipes from the boxes.
So what was the improvement? Pretty click bait title 😑😑
It's the increase of earnable rewards.
I want a save mode for endless archive so i don't have to restart because i have to log off
Eso should expand bgs with maps and add bgs other than just 4v4v4
Was in that home two days ago and noticed that while it is accessed in Alik'r, it's actually in Bangkorai. Zoom out while in the home and it shows Bangkorai. Have someone port to you while in the home (which isn't available yet) and they will arrive at the nearest wayshrine in Bangkorai. It is a bit screwy and hopefully this last one gets fixed when you own the home.
It actually has entrances in both zones if I understand correctly.
I'd like a hard mode and maybe some way to do dungeons solo. So I don't have to feel rushed by groups. Idfk
I do like seeing a decent reward in the monthly calendar, it gives me something to look forward to. However, I prefer just straight up reward items, rather than RNG crates. Don't need any more potions, lol.
Magic elements should correspond and react with each other example (fire makes oil burn) or (Water conducts electricity)
I wish they fix the server problem, lets say if you play on Europe server and then change to America you need to restart everything...
thats how all games work lmao
@@eldonhector fallout 76 doesn't
It's been 10 years, keep wishing. It will take a miracle at this point.
@@Alexdraculas1988 fallout 76 is also rated horribly. pretty much all other games require an account restart that are rpg or mmos.
Well I don’t know if you will see this but, for some reason I got the urge to play this game again recently. I’ve always wanted to have a house but never wanted to spend money. since getting it I have logged in everyday!
1:04 just love the fact that im not the only one that runs 2h/2h setups in pve
TBH, i thought all the nicer daily login rewards this year is just due to the 'big' anniversary. Whilst it is nice, i'm sceptical that it will continue.
Green noxious healing abilities on dark templars would be sick AF
You can get a cool mount from daily login but everybody has it it's not prestigious
Until they rework the werewolf/vampire line and looks, doubt ill get back but its always gd to see some improvememts!❤
Flying and better mounts overall. I wanna feel like s king on a mount
It would be nice but it will never, and let me repeat again...NEVER...happen in ESO. If you want flying mounts, ESO isn't your game.
@@terminalvelocity4858 why not, they have things like dragons, griffins and many more fked up creatures.Surely they can if they want to
@@lorddchrono Dragons, etc are NPC's on set paths, not real players, a huge difference.
@@lorddchrono Absolutely agree, it would be amazing.
you're _selling_ a video course on how to build eso toons..? lulz
I want a craft bag without a sub
